I'm just so glad my wife got to see the Sox win in 04 and 07 before she passed away in 2012. Her Dad was a Cape League player when he was in college, and he instilled the love of baseball in her at a very young age. God love the Red Sox.

As a Phillies fan It’s still to this day amazing to see how big of an impact victorino played on the team that year. What a win by Boston against all odds that season.

My Grandfather waited most of his life to see the Red Sox break the curse in 04. Im the spoiled grandson who got to witness Boston greatness unlike anyone had ever seen in a long time. 20 years of Patriot dominance, Red Sox in 04, 07, 13 and 18, Bruins in 2011 and Celtics in 08.
I am crying my eyes out. The Red Sox remind me why I love Boston.
I started following the Red Sox in 1967. I know how to keep the faith.....We moved to Chicago in 1969 so they were my National League team. Once again I learned to keep the faith. I have been rewarded 5 times now. 4 Sox wins and finally a Cub Series win.
still my favorite out of the three titles I've seen my sox's win.....2004 and 07 they were built to win, in 2013 after the 2011 collapse and 2012 failed bobby V experiment I was hoping AT BEST .500 record......but man what a cast of characters all around......still my favorite world series and if my 2017 sox's win it all.....still won't top this team

The 2013 Red Sox found lightning in a bottle, not once, not twice, but three times.
I remember watchin Papi's speech with my dad before that game. We couldn't believe that he actually said "our fucking city" and the delay didn't catch it. When he said that I just looked at my dad and was like "hell yeah!" lol knew right then that the Sox would win it all that year.
This year was wild, that season was like no other. I was only 10, I never remembered seeing the Red Sox win the World Series before. But that fateful day. The Boston booming. Change in my opinion, the state for ever. And it is I remember the only time that everyone was rooting for the Red Sox. The care and protection everyone gave each other was like no other. Thank you for bringing back this season.

As much as I am a die hard Sox fan we know this team was lightning in a bottle. Everybody had near career years. That's what made it so great and emotional. 69-93 to 97-65 and World Champs. After the Valentine mess and the fire sale of A-Gon and Crawford, nothing was as meaningful as this one. And I really believe the Tigers were the better team with their pitching etc...And of course Jim Leyland's questionable managing in game 2 helped also but that's baseball. Even with the recent 108 team WS champ. team this one was even more special. Nobody was surprised that the 2018 team won it all. This team was the most special. Not the favorite of everyone but the most special. Look at it his way. 2004, end of the so called curse and the great comeback in the ALCS against you know who. New England's greatest party. 2007-solid talented team, very good, almost wire to wire and we didn't have to wait another 86 years like a lot of cynics said. 2013, biggest surprise and a group of characters out of Duck Dynasty that started so sad with the Marathon bombing and ended with such a surprise. 2018 just a great team from top to bottom and what a bench. Alex Cora pushed the right buttons and Mook and JD had MVP years. To the best team of this century.....Thank You.

I am a tigers fan absolutely crushed after what happened in game two and game six as I watching game 6 with my dad on TV. We were tiger fans. But you guys were the better team. David Ortiz if he does not have a statue in Fenway by now then there is something wrong with Boston. That man is a blessing and I am not joking you. What he did in 04 and 2013 was just unbelievable. Even as a tigers fan and if I have kids someday I will continue talking about Ortiz. Ortiz did way more than Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski. He brought championships and great memories to a generation.
@@Michiganrailfan You win and lose as a team. Ortiz doesn't win any titles without the Red Sox pitching and teammates. Ted and Yaz just happened to face better teams most of the time. Yaz and Jim Lonborg did almost singlehandedly carry the Sox to the Impossible Dream Pennant in 67, but you still win and lose as a team in baseball. I have to admit what Ortiz did in the 2013 WS was phenomenal. He batted over .600 and the rest of the team batted something like .160 or something. That was incredible. They don't win that WS without him. Even Yaz has said that Papi is the second best Lefthanded hitter in Red Sox history. Ted no.1 of course.

I hate to say it but when the crowd was chanting "Boston Strong" after they won the WS it sounded like "Boston Sucks" LOL. Oh well. Congrats Red Sox. 2021 was a surprising year also. Beat a better Rays team in the ALDS but in the end lost to a very good and veteran Astros team. The funniest scene of course was when A-Rod and Papi were on the post game show and the "Bleep You A-Rod" chants started.

As a Red Sox Fan I have to say I miss Will Middlebrooks & Daniel Nava we're are they? I haven't seen them in a different Team or anything
Middlebrooks retired about a year or two ago, and I Nava is also out of baseball now as well. He last played in 2017.

They do. This year is special. Taking a bunch of kids and putting together an unstoppable team. The season isn't over yet, but if the fell flat on their faces now I'd still say they did a remarkable job this year.
