That 04 alcs was and still is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my 42 years of life. It wasn't supposed to happen like that, it didn't seem possible. We went from total despair to the highest high ever in about a week. Game 7 was in the bag, after game 6 there was no way they'd lose again, and they didn't.
Never been more happy for a team that I didn't represent. I'm a die hard Texan and ranger fan but I was living in New Hampshire at the time and it was impossible not to get caught up in the moment. Plus I HATE THE YANKEES!!! Good ish Red Sox.

The fact that since 2004 Boston has pummeled, pounded, and dominated NY is the right of the once beaten and bewildered. May the ALCS curse haunt the Yankees another 70 years. This happened almost 20 years ago, and this still makes me cry! Makes me proud, makes me proud to be a Red Sox fan in 2004! (I still am) but fuck! 2004 what a season, what a team! What a comeback ! Beating the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS is something I’ll talk about to a younger generation and my future kids! Go Sox

Boston Red Sox shocked the world in 2004 with a big come back in the ALCS vs the hated archival NY Yankees, they finally won the Championship and the best way to do it is to go through NY which always beat them. Now I am waiting for my beloved and most favorite team of them all to pull the same and they will because that is how sports are. After watching the 2004 ALCS, you really can't look at anything in life the same way again. Are you in a rough spot? Odds against you? Whatever situation you might face in life, your odds of success are probably better than the 2004 Red Sox in the AL championship after losing the first 3 games and trailing with one inning to go in the 4th game. Never give up.
One thing I remembered after the 2003 Yankees team beat the Sox. The Yankees won a lot of championships with pitching, and lost Clemens, Andy Pettitte, and David Wells. They had plenty of hitting, but as a Red Sox fan I watched years of losing with good hitting and not enough pitching. The bats would go silent against good pitching. Then the Yankees signed A-Rod, and the Sox signed Curt Schilling. I couldn't help but think the Sox finally had a chance to beat the Yankees. That 2004 pitching staff didn't have much other than Rivera. Being down 3-0 made it a lot harder, but this team was one of a kind. A lot had to go right, but once they won game 4, the momentum seemed to change. And it never stopped... all the way through to the end of an 8 game winning streak!
I remember saying ok we won 1 game, NY won't let us win 2. Ok, we won 2 games, there's no way we'll win 2 in NY. We won 3 games and then I really started getting pumped, but was preparing myself for a game 7 loss, but also was saying we absolutely cannot lose game 7. After jumping out to the early lead in game 7, I was praying our pitching would not blow the lead and was ecstatic when they won. Then I was on a cross country train ride to California and was able to see the Sox win the WS on TV in San Francisco. I was on the phone with my mother when they won. We are both shouting for joy, me in CA. her in MA.. The following January, my mother passed away. She didn't get to see the Sox get the rings, but she did get to see them win the WS 😊

Nice work and good background music too.

Adam I have the right song for this.
Where did you get all the widescreen footage? I can't find it anywhere but here.
