  • This was the highlight of our Japan Trip! We drove GTR's around the base of Mount Fuji! What an experience! We rented the cars from a place called Fun2Drive in Odawara, Japan. We went on a 6 hour guided tour of the surrounding city and even drove on the initial D streets in real life! The first car we drove was a KPGC110 replica. Which is a 1973 Datsun GTR, and then we drove a 2001 Nissan R34 GTR.

😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 ... I had no idea they had a rental place like that in Japan... whenever I go to Japan, that's my first stop! Haha wow that's like a dream right there, so cool man.

I’m booked today with these guys in the ‘20 Supra. I wanted the R32 or R34 but they were already booked. My trip is 2 months out and I already have butterflies in my stomach.

That NSX is phenomenal, I visited at the end of Nov and didn't convoy, just "cruised" below the speed limit, ahem ;) EVERY petrol head needs to do this!

Did you decide to swap cars with someone when choosing your car? I would like to go here and experience multiple cars if I can!! Problem is you only have one option (3 hour tour) thanks!!

Qebs we went with another group of friends who also got their own car, so half way through the drive we switched cars. And there are more options than just the 3 hour tour! I think we did the 5 hour one and it was just enough!

Did you guys have to have your IDP to rent?

Yes, but that's it. It's really easy to get from the states.

What are you driving, a Kenworth with a road ranger? No need for double clutching in a synchro box.

David Bailey the box was grinding pretty badly.. probably because of all the people renting it that dont know how to drive stick.
