Oh dude i love this channel. Finally gaming content thdt doesnt make me feel weird and i can just relax before bed ot whatever. Seriously, i had been off video games for a while but youre helping me remember why i like them
You drew me in with the 'All Square PS1 games' video, you got me interested via the Obscure & Forgotten episode 14, and you forced me to sub with that old VHS authenticity intro. Well played sir :P
im 100% gonna binge this right now, the intro is perfect thank you Sean this is amazing - you have the vibe of this down perfectly. best gaming content imo
The intro makes me so nostalgic, i also love the dvd one where they're trying to steal a dvd, god i miss the 90's, they also sometimes add a really sweet thank you message on some movies as well which is nice!
What you may need to do is cut these long videos down into individual reviews as a TH-cam shorts/ticktock clip thing, with the theme you use (for the game title) as the main feature. 30 seconds that draw peeps into the channel
Great way to reuse content that is appealing & nostalgic. Great attention to detail & great storytelling, just great content as always, also huge congrats on hitting 20K subs Sean, well deserved...!
Just found your channel and absolutely loving these vids. Keep up the good work! Also thank you so much for reminding me of burstrick wakeboarding. I had that game when I was probably 6 years old and had completely forgotten about it.
Have you done a video on blast chamber? Ive never heard anyone talk about it or even hear of it before but i got it from my brother when i was a kid along with fade to black and it was interesting
So much nostalgia. I remember spending ages playing Blaze and Blade. Never remembered it's name, but as soon as I saw gameplay, I remembered 2 things: Using an entire memory card for a party, and rolling for stats. 'cause if you got 3 numbers the same when rolling, you could re-roll. And the dice weren't Entirely random, as far as I could tell. If you got the right timing, you could get triple sixes over, and over, and over again. Making your characters really powerful for the early game.
Finally through this one lol. im here for the disruptor cutscenes. I miss the live action cnc style that was adopted at the time. hotline miami in the back :) KKND :) poor controls however. pathfinding yep, cnc suffered from this and also stages of resource blocks. raycrisis is stunning looking i think visually
Damn you, Sean!! Thanks to you, my back catalog of WEIRD stuff to play has doubled! Haha. I just discovered your channel and glad I did. Love your style, your natural humor (very unforced unlike some game youtubers out there), and your Irish accent (Tree Dee Playstation Games) is FANTASTIC! Keep up the good work, you've earned yourself yet another subscriber here, and I look forward to whatever else you got coming for us!
The Wheel has provided. I'm not sure what led me to your channel, but I'm joining in now, especially since I was an N64 kid and hearing about all these PS1 titles I missed out on sort of makes me feel young again. And now I absolutely MUST try Rising Zan.
Funny coincidence, there's another game titled Tunguska - Tunguska: The Visitation, a top-down indie game inspired by the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, completely unrelated to the PS1 game haha
I played the shit out of Supersonic Racers and you're the first TH-camr I've seen talk about it! I was really hoping you'd cover it bc I spent a big chunk of my childhood playing it. Very fun game but was very hard for child me.
🤔👉 *BLAST RADIUS* (over here in the U.S.) ~1:53:06 ...also had PS1 system link support via Serial IO port on earlier models and, if I understand correctly, is the only game released to do so on PS1 that had campaign co-op over system link. System linking is the only way to experience the 2-player mode. Unsure as yet if campaign has anything hidden for system link players to find or paths to take exclusive to system linking. All other PS1 combat cable/ system link games' multiplayer had no campaign experience. 🤷♂️ Was disappointed that the 1st two Colony Wars' support for the use of my Sony SCPH-1110 Analog Joystick was not carried over to *BLAST RADIUS* but am looking forward to exploring its addition of co-op campaign over system linking.👍
Damn you, Wheel Man. Now I have to rewatch everything with this compilation. Why did you have to do a sensible thing, hm? I hope you at least included the proper table at the end for all reviews to show us where each went where.
@@SeanSeansonnforgivable! Unwatchable! Dislike and leaving a bad comment! But in all seriousness, that tiermaker site might have worked enough for this.
If you do another compilation of these, can we do it without the prize wheel? Love having these running in the arcade room but it can be bit of awkward dead space.
I agree it would flow a lil better but since the reviews themselves often contain mentions of the wheel, I find its better to keep it there just to avoid confusion, that and there's some "wheel die-hards" that watch the channel, so removing it might legit cause a stir haha
not sure if someone mentioned it... but why the tunguska guy has the moveset of the mishimas from tekken, and when holding a sword it seems like mitsurugi from soul calibur?!
Damn I fell asleep while watching this last night and I dreamt the perfect PSX game. It was some ARPG based on the show Outlaw Star, if only you could've played it Sean.
Your videos are awesome. Very well produced and you're a pleasant narrator but I have to say that the wheel is so FKNG annoying that sometimes I give up on a random video because of that male scream 😭
Tunguska feels, for all the world, like a vehicle for Steven Seagal to get into the video-game business... nunchaku, ponytail, overly-complicated-yet-ineffective fighting, nonsensical mystery that is unexplained until the end where it is wrapped up instantly; it's all there!
and I'm having flashbacks to the first time I had covid when it was really windy and I just binged the Sean Seanson videos for 3 straight days till I could go outside again, happy memories.
Please tell me that someone told you about the game Power Shovel after you posted the original video which had Dirt Jockey in it. Power Shovel is THE premier heavy machinery sim for PSX (I use "sim" loosely as there are stages where you use your excavator to destroy cars or use the shovel to make giant plates of curry or to save turtles or to stop rockets from hitting you or...).
Power Shovel and Dirt Jockey are the reason why I learned not to say "Theres nothing else like this on the PS1" because there is almost definitely another game exactly like this on the PS1 haha
MAN, there was a game (Sled something, can't recall it as I was like 9-10 years of age) where there were polygonal "tanks" (I guess they were sleds) that shot eachother. It as like the best thing when I was a kid! EDIT: It was NOT Sled Storm, can't find it! EDIT2: FOUND IT! Cyber Sled, what a game! It looked better back then, much like Gungage, my second game that you already covered!
I've put this video on probably a dozen times and every time is a different experience cause I'm always at a random place in the video 😭😭 one day I'll see allll the games lol
Love your videos! They help me chill before sleep lol. If I was to recommend a game for this series I had a game called Excalibur 2055AD as a kid and have no idea where it came from, all I know is it used to really creep me out. I haven’t played it since but I remember there was someone guarding a door with a creepy voice. Pls do it 😂😂
Wow those 3 games in a row are almost exactly what I have in one of my 14 PS1 case wide shelves. Randomly have Disruptor, next to Dare Devil Derby 3D, which is next to Power Shovel ( hey close enough to Dirt Jockey!). As I was watching this I leaned back and looked and was like I have that, and that, and ALMOST that- I must be such a weirdo to always have so many games that make "obsscure" lists!!!
The originals are up on the channel individually in 1080p. This compilation is meant to be an alternative in the style of an old bootleg VHS, two different aesthetics for two different tastes.
I'd like to suggest 'star ixiom' as a suggestion for obscure games, was a space shooter with light RPG mechanics, and a somewhat RPG like story, wasnt bad honestly, gets a bit brutal on the difficulty late in the game though. Also as you seemed to enjoy bloodlines, I'm also gonna recommend 'blast chamber' to add to the list, that one was a bit of quirky fun for me and the friends back in the 90s
@@SeanSeanson yeah with duckstation you can also make it ultra wide but the game isn’t happy that way lol. But yeah playing this game at high resolution with a mouse at 144FPS is a real treat. I wish more ps1 games logic wasn’t tied to frame rate.
Your videos are so very well produced and you're a pleasent narrator. Definitely one of the better gaming TH-camrs in that niche!
Agreed 💯👍
Holy hell that demo music came out of nowhere and gave me chills. Slipped right back to the 90s.
LOL. "Knock it down. Stack it up. It's your dirt. Have fun."

The ol VHS intro never fails
Hey, thanks for the compilation, Sean. Your stuff is extremely watchable when awake, and extremely calming to sleep to as well.
only just noticed the timestamps - youre just the best
soft piano jazz during the Dreams boss compilation is still so so good
I'm at work right now, but oh boy I expect a nice Wheel and Chill evening.
I'll love to see it.

I'm so in love with your video format aesthetics. It captures the Y2K vibe beautifully 😍

6 hours of Irishman reviewing PlayStation games to relax and study to

YES THNX FOR THE CORRECT ASPECT RATIO, FINALY SOMEONE WHO CARES :D

I lied, put your pants back on, we're watching Obscure & Forgotten PS1 Games Compilation (Vol.1-10) | Sean Seanson [6:39:07].
It’s been awhile since I watched the older volumes so this is a good time to rewatch. Good stuff Son of Sean

I've seen all of them already, so this will be a perfect sleep video for the next few weeks
Thankyou for this wonderful longform loveletter of a compilation edit. It's on the sleep playlist the wheel will provide
The intro to this video took me back man....hilarious piracy warnings hahah🤣
So Ive managed to watch every episode till this point. Gonna watch this all again now.
Rewatching this and Wakle Skade gets me every. single. time. Thanks for the compilation Sean. I shout your stuff out to anyone with ears.
