400R-50-22 Face End Mill With MT3-FMB22 Shank And 4pcs APMT1604 Inserts
Product is really good fot that price, with a bit better index insert this will be really usefull tool in my workshop.
I bougt same one from ebay UK and pay more than double price for it, and got only 3 insert and much more vibration during work.
Head fits perfect into shank, screws are perfect quality (no free space between them and tork key) cutting nice, not too much vibration...
Good tool for that funny price i don't heave to say anithing else

Hi, again. I'm in UK (obviously!). The face mill you got from here was almost certainly made in China at any rate, so you might as well use Banggood. A good on-line catalog is from 'MSC Direct' US company trading in UK (watch out for US rather than European threads on tools though). Their catalogue is VERY big and gives lots of ideas, it is not the cheapest but in UK delivery is overnight and customer service very good, which can be very valuable. Also try Rotagrip, Chronos, Arc Euro Trade, Amadeal and Axminster Tools. Even Amazon carry some machine tooling. The real quality stuff from the high end manufacturers (eg Coventry Tooling and their American and European equivalents) is VERY expensive, perhaps ten times what you paid. I wish you well. BobUK.
Robert Hawtin hy, the facemill i mention i buy from chronos, brand glanze, i bought lot of tool from chronos, before banggood sell them, but the glanze tool is not high end quality like for professional use, but the price is high i pay about 40-50€ for a single insert tool holder for a lathe + expencive inserts by piece, for that price i can bought about 20 toolholders from banggood + lot of inserts and the quality is the same, as glanze, just without marks, eaven glanze can't compare with high end brand like garant, iscar, seco... But that's another level for industry work.
Shortly i can't bealive what you got from china for the price. Last stuff i order from chronos is rotary table, because of shipping cost and no tax inside eu.
My face mill from Banggood came with inserts installed? Mine has an R8 collet. It uses different inserts for aluminum vs steel. Can't wait to use it. Good video.
Mature Patriot yes they got manny different face mills, that one is one of cheapest, i see banggood sels also lot of better inserts for that face mill.
The inserts I received with mine were not sharp and didn't cut very well at all. I sharpened the inserts and now this cutter is ok. Not something I'd brag about, not something I'd talk bad about, just ok.
Yes the insert come with is really bad, not sharpen at all, i also must to order some better one, but the head is ok for the price
Hi! Ah, good and well done, you are moving to using proper morse taper tooling. So much safer than using that drill chuck! Please keep the videos coming, you have some very helpful ideas and a nice way of showing them. BobUK.

These have a major flaw, when you stand up the face mill on a flat surface you will find that 1 flute is 0.12mm shorter than the rest. That is why you have uneven finish and vibration
Why does that impact the cutting ability? Fly cutter’s produce a good surface finish with just one cutting edge?
Great tool it needs more rigid milling machine it can cut 5mm per pass. 👍

Noè Luciano hello, for 90% i use 100% rotation speed excpet some big drill bits and cutting thread, so i running it all the time at 2200-2300rpm

Hello. I thought that to calculate the rpm, the formula is ~ 100 000 (alu) /(3.14 * tool diameter). In tour case (diam 50 mm ?) this gives about 640rpm. Who is right ?

whats the rpm and feeds you use on this one?
Don't remember feed cuz i got potentiometer control unit, and the rpm is max so 2200-2400rpm
