I am absolutely thrilled by the many comments stating it was not the staff that caused the ten plagues or parted the sea or even split the rock for water. It was by the power of God! And that's the kicker because Moses hit the rock for water in anger. Because of his anger God told Moses he wouldn't be going to the promise land only he could climb the mountain and gaze at it. So it's not about Moses or his staff. It's about the power of God.

It seems that it's not known that there is an actual Moses
Rod made of gold with stones
      placed in it which generates
the kind of pwr the story spoke abt.The price is around
10k or a little less & one must
be vetted to be able to get 1.
Just bc you got de $$$ does not matter. One must also have the correct traits to be
given the opp to buy,no sinister elements will be able
      to purchase.Indiana Jones
showed the idea of there being actual staffs & to some
      who have unbelief....there is

This was a fascinating documentary and even though we don't have any type of Carbon dating results, etc. I did not want this documentary to end. I enjoyed listening to the passion of the researcher and his devotion to trying to find out more about this particularly interesting staff that was on display in the museum.
My only problem with the museum displaying an artifact that did not have any of the available testing performed seems a bit sketchy on the museums part. The museum should be amenable to performing tests that are available so they can at least attest to the time frame and materials used to create the staff.

Siani, is in Saudi Arabia, and there is compelling evidence to say so at Tell Jaws in Saudi Arabia, the entire Mountain is burned, and there is a big rock at the bottom with a bull on it, Petra is the city of the dead, and the red sea is no where near it really, he was buried in Moab right? I just know the rock Moses struck was in Rephaim, and there is a huge rock there with a big split in it with what looks like water was gushing from it at one point or another, they are full of it, I am tired of these programs lying.

The only reason why Moses was able to perform all the wonderful miracles he did, same with all the other prophets who followed after him, as well as men like his successor Joshua and all the Judges to follow and later the Kings of Israel, many who won spectacular victories against overwhelming odds, is because God was with them.
By himself, Moses was just a mere man. But because of God working through him, and because God blessed Moses for his obedience, Moses became a man among men, and to this very day he still remembered and held in reverence.

In Hebrew the name of Moses's elder brother is spelled אהרון in the original Hebrew and is pronounced Aharon. If you want to pronounce his name as it is improperly transliterated into Latin letters in your English translation, that is your decision. But his name in Hebrew is Aharon.
      כנים is lice.
So Kinim should be translated as Lice. It was the Third Plague.
      Exodus 8:12-13
12 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Say unto Aharon: Stretch out thy staff, and smite the dust of the earth, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.' 13 And they did so; and Aharon stretched out his hand with his staff, and smote the dust of the earth, and there was lice upon man, and upon beast; all the dust of the earth became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

If you can't find it in the bible, then ask yourself if it's knowledge from God or other. Pray in the Spirit before believing in false idolatry. If you believe the bible is the unerring Word of God...then why do you need to go looking in other books. Trust the Spirit had His hand in the early building of the bible and leave it at that, unless prompted by the Spirit.

Because Moses did not have any power until the Lord God Almighty Jehovah called him and told him to go and speak with Pharaoh to let God's people free. Wait was it Moses's staff or Aaron's staff that turned into a snake?
Moses and Aaron appear before the pharaoh, and Aaron's rod is transformed into a serpent. Pharaoh's sorcerers are also able to transform their own rods into serpents, but Aaron's rod swallows their rods (Exodus 7:10-12). Aaron's rod is again used to turn the Nile blood-red

"Staff" keeps getting used here but the Hebrew term isn't those words (Maqol, or Mushaan) for a walking or standing stock of usually juniper wood, but rather precisely Matheh (a Rod) an extension reaching "scepter" if wood a textured branch of almond then well smoothed...
The Rod is small by comparison, used by a shepherd to guide sheep- or by a rider of a camel or donkey to control it.
The Rod & Staff together are a significant length ratio... The ground laid staff setting their distance apart and both stood upright pointed out the elevation on the horizon of the North star so important for wilderness navigation.
A note (contrary to this) scripture does refer to Moses as "the Egyptian" when he is at the well in Midian (NW Saudi Arabia)... Could this be the rod of Moses(?), maybe- if he placed it there where Aaron his older brother died, as it isn't significant in TheWay from that spring of their associated sentence onward.

My parents' garage. I owned this thing when I was a kid, and performed plenty of miracles with it. I know it had belonged to Moses because, at the bottom end (the "working" end, if you will) was engraved "המטה של מוזס" which, my 5th grade friend Ezra told me meant something like "Moses' staff." Moreover, on the opposite side was engraved, in an apparent Archaic middle eastern language "hecho en Mexico." Ezra now lives in Springfield, about 2 hours from here. Maybe he can translate it.

This woman fed Moses secretly until she spoke to his father to release Moses as his father believed that Moses might have committed crime in Kush and they might be looking for him which is why he put him in prison for 12 years after which he plucked out the staff which his father-in-law had stolen from Joseph and when he was dismissed with shame in Egypt, he took it with him.
