There is no other group like Pink Floyd. At the end, David Gilmour tells the audience “Hope to see you again. Thank you for coming. Good night.” So humble and polite.
During the Division Bell tour, PF played a show in Houston, Texas, that unfortunately had to be cut short due to severe thunderstorms rolling through the area. I've heard a recording of it, and David is SO apologetic about the fact that the show had to be cut short -- he said something like, "I'm afraid we're going to have to love you and leave you."
Loved your reaction to this!!! I saw Pink Floyd on this Pulse tour at The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas in 1994. There were 47,000 fans and I had 18th row seats on the floor. It was an experience of a lifetime!!!
Love seeing people see and listen to Pink Floyd for the first time. Amazing. I've been listening to my favorite band for over 50 years. Great reaction. Might I suggest another experience Pink Floyd "On the Turning Away" live 1988 Delicate Sounds of Thunder Tour. You won't be disappointed.
This is a truly wonderful reaction. I was there at the concert and it was almost too much for the senses to take in. So many of their songs evoke so many deep emotions from people. The atmosphere was incredible. Sadly, no video can do justice to the stadium sized quadraphonic sound system which takes things to another level completely. Great reaction thanks.
Nobody compares to the sound systems put into place so that you not only hear every instrument and voice, but you feel the sound! Their concerts were an entire senses show!!!
There is another live performance of a song titled the great gig in the sky. It is sung by three amazingly talented young ladies. No actual words are spoken but I can promise you a vocal performance that will be tears to your eyes.
The thing I noticed first is the plain casual dress clothes they wear, normal haircuts, most bands dress up for an image. But what they do with their instrumental talent, the depth of their song stories, each one a journey of sound and emotional, has a maturity about it, now, timeless classics for future generations to rediscover and admire, similar to other past masters of music. Wow, wow, wow.
Your expressions and reactions are pure magic I've been a fan for fifty odd years and can't get enough David gilmore and pink floyd have got their fingers on our musical emotions and its fabulous how to feel so happy and content your so right they are just your ordinary guys so you feel we are all on the same level and wonderful progressive rock music is the conduit great reaction love you guys rock on
I saw concerts before this one and I've been to concerts since, but this is the only one that embedded itself in my soul. It was more than just a sensory experience. It was as close to perfection as you can get.
Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. Hard to explain how awesome that moment was in my life. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS
I have loved Pink Floyd since I first heard them. It is quality music that you can listen to over and over again, unlike many popular new songs that you get tired of after a short while. You just has to watch The Wall movie. Pink floyd has incredible concerts.
The music of Pink Floyd is cerebral and emotional and the concerts were structured to be a memorable experience. The band members and their music have created some interesting milestones. David Gilmour is the only entertainer since 79 AD to perform twice in the amphitheatre at Pompeii ( with Pink Floyd in 1971 and his solo show in 2016). Also, their live album "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" was the first to be played in space on the Soyuz mission in 1988.
I was so lucky to attend this Concert 94 Earl's Court London you just had to be there for the full experience greatest performance from the great live band ever how can you top that ❤
i missed pulse, but was at the MLOR tour at wembly stadium prior to this at the O2 Earls court, it was also a precursor concert with much of the same lights and circular screen, a flying bed and the wild boar, i have photos of this concert, and i remember it was amazing, i remember the comfortably numb feeling after it finished, because the experience is so amazing and so immersive and the band so humble that you are just left wondering what to do at the end of it, you just walk aimlessly to where you need to get home to, but everything is surreal and empty and heightened, as if you just witnessed the birth and death of the universe all at once.
Can you imagine ending a concert with this one?! I would be leaving with a few minutes left just enjoying it all as we leave the building; never wanting the musing to end!!
Thank you for this video. My first time viewing this song from the Pulse concert. A simple song made majestic by the genius of Pink Floyd. Love y'all's channel.
I love how Guy Pratt (bass) told that when he auditioned, he was only asked to sing, scream, this song. Don’t play the bass, we know you can do that, just sing this. Now do it again. He wouldn’t because he was hungover, and he got the gig instantly
I was watching an interview with Sam Brown (the blonde backing singer), they asked her how 'rock and roll' it was. She said it was amazing but it was like touring with a bus full of accountants, all very professional and focused. All they concentrated on was delivering a perfect performance at every show. No fooling around or hijinx.
This is an amazing performance, as is the whole Pulse show. I suggest checking out 'Sorrow' from Pulse next. It features another thrilling David Gilmour guitar solo. I was fortunate enough to see him on his solo tour in 2016. He was promoting his solo album, 'Rattle That Lock', but also played Pink Floyd classics like this, complete with a light show. He was 70 years old that year and still sounded great. I suggest also checking out 'Comfortably Numb' as performed on that tour (David Gilmour, Live in Pompeii, 2016).
I have seen Pink Floyd Live 4 times… I saw this same show Syracuse Carrier Dome in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.
Was at this concert at Earls Court in London in October 1994 The Pulse Tour and this was the best song in the encore which they finished the concert with, the visuals were out of this World lazers, lights and pyrotechnics and explosions + the giant circular screen on the stage completely EXPLODES at the very end to finish the concert off..!! I'd taken a flask of Magic Mushrooms and was tripping my head off and was getting traces off all the lights and lasers and pyrotechnics a concert never to be bettered or even to come close to
Thank you two........... You both were smiling the whole video!!!! EPIC!!!! Hope to see you again. I don't think Pink will have a problem selling tickets and putting butts in the seats.... Not an issue.
I am 73 years now and been with the Floyd since 1967 and you must know where a band comes from to understand you must watch Pink Floyd live echos part 1 live in Pompeii (1971) and the best high hopes is live Pompeii (2016) must see!!!!!
The funny thing about this tour was that money was in fact, no object. The band partnered with Volkswagon to make a special edition Pink Floyd model, and money from VW allowed the band to make one heck of a show visually.
There's a video where David Gilmore and his wife are walking around town and they come across a street performer playing the wine glasses. David walked up to him and asked him to join the band that night on stage. To no one's surprise, he did.
@@redsquirrel1086 Thank you. That video was one of my favorite moments. He's such a normal person. Very approachable. I know that's weird to say but, for a man of his stature in pop culture to be that down to earth is incredible.

I had the privilege to attend this concert at the Miami orange bowl stadium, not only Floyd was amazing and the lights incredible but th entire stadium was wired for sound so the music revolved around you! amazing!
we are lucky to have such quality recordings of the live show near their prime. yes, it is more than just music … it helps if you have a pharmaceutical accelerant but is not necessary.
It's one thing to listen to a song but when listening with his life Performance, they were the Best at giving you not just a Musical experience but a Visual Experience I'll never forget that night watching him play live. Totally different it's night and day.
Pink Floyd's show and music is/was the total package. An experience that touched your soul!! David may not have been the most flashy. But they were darn good and David is special. Each of them is a master of their craft!!!!...... All of Pink's music is good to wonderful. It helps the more you watch and listen. RUN, RUN!!!! Parts of this tune their accent shows big time. High energy song. So much music and sound, yet they appear to be so relaxed... Smooth!!!! Pink's music and sound is a total body experience... That's Pink!!!! I summarize like this -- masters!!!!! WAS that great or what????? Near perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I love it......
Great reaction to my all-time favorite band, for many years now! Since the early days PF have always striven to not just create and play excellent music, but to provide a complete experience for the concert goer that takes you out of your everyday life for just little while! I have always thought that they do this exceedingly well, and these PULSE concerts are a great example of it!! Cheers to you both!
I believe I have mentioned this on one of your other videos. I have seen hundreds of live concerts and there are 2 that stand above all others in how to finish a show. Pink Floyd playing Comfortably Numb, followed by Run Like Hell and Nightwish playing Ghost Love Score followed by The Greatest Show on Earth. Not only 2 of the best show finishers of all time, but two of the best live shows of all time.
I went on this tour in 94' and Floyd always went the extra mile and was great value for money, I also saw Elton John in 94' and I believe the ticket prices were the same £15...ish for either act. Floyd would put on this unreal visual show whereas Elton would sit at a piano on a stage with a few lights on him. Floyd are legends 🙌
Great reaction you two i was there at that concert london 1994 and am still getting over it i am now 75 and can stlii freeze over when i see the video .Try from the same concert High Hopes i think with your quality of love for music you will love it God bless and carry on reacting
The best concert video ever IMO. The DVD has a warning on it about the intensity of the light show. The best part is on the 2nd half they play Dark Side of the Moon.
Nice reaction there, enjoyed that. I surgest you watch all the songs from this concert, there all fantastic. My friend and I went to this, dropped two acid trips each on the way there !!!!!, what a night we had, my feet haven't touch the ground since, it was truly a stunning performance all night, three cheers to you thanks
I’ve just discovered your reaction videos. Maybe I can help you find some words to express what you’re seeing and hearing. Pink Floyd concerts are an immersive experience. Sights and sounds that take you from the arena on a journey to somewhere, (the choice is yours) and back without ever having left your seat. If you can stay seated at all. 54 years a Floyd fan. I fully enjoy your personalities.
This whole concert is amazing…you can’t go wrong with any song from it. I was waiting for one of you to say David Gilmour does with the guitar what Floor does with her voice. 😊☮️
The lights the music and his voice work in unison! They say Pink Floyd is a thinking person’s music. It’s kinda like tripping in a lot of ways. It opens your mind and makes you think deeper and go places you normally wouldn’t go on your own.❤ They had a laser show when I was a teenager at the Hayden planetarium in New York City that was really trippy you later back in your seat looking up to the sky watching lasers go to the music. Dark side of the moon!❤
Every song from this concert was top quality in its production: lights, music, video, everything! If you choose other songs from this concert, you can't go wrong. Some have mentioned "Sorrow," which is brilliant, or you could check "Time," or "One of These Days," or . . . anything. And, yes, I really enjoyed your reaction!
Same concert...Coming Back To Life, Sorrow, Wish You Were Here, Keep Talking, Shine On You Crazy Diamond. What the hell, just watch the entire concert.
This is probably the BEST concert EVER
Best finale to concert you will ever see

David looks like he's coming over to mow the lawn then proceeds to rip apart his guitar on each and every song, performing like no other.

Great reaction you two i was there at that concert london 1994 and am still getting over it i am now 75 and can stlii freeze over when i see the video .Try from the same concert High Hopes i think with your quality of love for music you will love it God bless and carry on reacting
Their genius taps into your genius. A gift, really.
The best concert video ever IMO. The DVD has a warning on it about the intensity of the light show. The best part is on the 2nd half they play Dark Side of the Moon.
this band is the best. been my favorite since the 80's
surely the ultimate encore!
for me, Pink Floyd have always been about the live shows with the great music.
Great band Great solos old school enjoy
Pink Floyd have sold over 300 million records.
This whole concert is amazing…you can’t go wrong with any song from it. I was waiting for one of you to say David Gilmour does with the guitar what Floor does with her voice. 😊☮️
all their shows are wonderful, pulse 1994 is extremely complete in all aspects. another tipp from pulse live: "one of these days"
Their music is emotional
The lights the music and his voice work in unison! They say Pink Floyd is a thinking person’s music. It’s kinda like tripping in a lot of ways. It opens your mind and makes you think deeper and go places you normally wouldn’t go on your own.❤ They had a laser show when I was a teenager at the Hayden planetarium in New York City that was really trippy you later back in your seat looking up to the sky watching lasers go to the music. Dark side of the moon!❤
Many more songs to watch feom this show.
Sadly the concert hall Earls Court is no longer there , it made way for block of flats !!
Same concert...Coming Back To Life, Sorrow, Wish You Were Here, Keep Talking, Shine On You Crazy Diamond. What the hell, just watch the entire concert.
Wonderful reaction and that is a very good description, with Pink Floyd nothing ever seems forced. Magical is also a feeling I get with Pink Floyd.
I can't even imagine being there!
