@danie, you should never put the relaxer on your scalp and i think you use to much product and it went way past your new growth. Eventually your hair will break bcus of over processing please keep these tips in mind. Also our skin hair nails and hormones change every 5-7yrs and when we get sick our body gets the help and our hair is last so take a good multi vitamins and dvit d3 and LOTS OF WATER to keep your body nourished. Thank you 😊 the last time I relaxed my hair before doing that video was about mid November of 2022...for length retention I can't say I do much I have never worn a wig and I have only ever braided my hair 4 times since I started relaxing from 2016. I usually just catch my hair into one (not tight) and wrap the ends thats like my everyday look otherwise from having it down if I recently relaxed as well as I sometimes do styles that mimics a French twist. So personally I cannot say I do protective styles on my relaxed hair little manipulation is key and safe practices. I will try to do a video showing the few ways I style my hair but I hope this helps
It can be done sis...I posted a video on this with the basics hopefully it can give you some pointers but there is a growth oil called Wild Growth Hair Oil that I would definitely recommend coupled with the right maintenance practices
