- If Brian Phillips can do it , so can I, I've wanted to do this for quite a while, so when I saw Brian's Video I knew it was time, I have step by step pictures and videos of the process and the end results are GREAT, this now has an even wider flite envelope, don't know why Horizon Hobby didnt do it!
the Conscendo is such a GREAT plane but with flaps the flite envelope is even bigger : )

Thanks for taking the time to put together and post this video. I ordered the Conscendo Evolution a few days ago. Guess I'll have to add some flaps. I enjoyed the peaceful relaxing music you used.
you will love the Conscendo and the flite envelope is really expanded with Flaps
The proper way to bleed off speed and hit the target landing strip with a sailplane is to slip her in. It works great and looks cool too. Sometimes if my Conscendo is really too fast I use low throttle and let the prop slow her down. Also my CG is a little past the rear mark and that really woke up the elevator. What a fun plane!!

this really made landing easier
With your pictures and explanations it looks easy enough to do this mod. I have an AeroScout which I like except for how much runway it needs for takeoffs and landings. I just might add flaps to the plane. Besides, the three other planes I fly have flaps, why not my AeroScout?

A few last questions. Can you please give me some details on how you reprogrammed your Transmitter. Did you have to go in and change the Wing Type to 1 aileron, 1 flap. If not, how did you get a Flap option on your Transmitter. Can you give me some more details please. The physical part is EZ for me. It's the Transmitter configuring that Kills me. I have this airplane coming in the mail right now, and I fully intend on installing your Flap set up. THANKS a lot Sir.

@@dutchloveRC the cool thing about what you did by adding flaps - you basically made it two planes in one.
In it's stock set up, it's basically designed to be a speed glider but with the flaps, it can now also function as a Soaring glider in addition to functioning as a hotliner speed glider.

Hello friend, I'm doing this mod and trying to understand servos.. I have six channel set up with as3x and safe,I have channel 5 and 6 available for flap servos so I will program the same switch to control both flaps, hopefully they will be in sync? Those look like plastic gear servos, are they durable enough? Also wondering if analog is okay or does it require digital servo, sorry I'm a newbie and Crescendo will be my maiden plane
Thank you for the Question friend, I still am flying it without any damage to these plastic gear (and Analog) servos! My radio is set up for 1 servo (I am using a "Y" harness) then make sure the servos lay on the wing with the same side up and forward so they will be in Sync, My receiver uses one channel for the safe so I only had one open channel, this mod really slows the plane down to land!
