Yeah, she totally was mostly protecting Charlie and her dreams/goals for this hotel.
That’s why I love Vaggie, she’ll protect anyone without a second thought, even if she knows what she’s dealing with.
Very true but watch the pilot again and look at her face after Al owned Sir Pentious (the snake guy, hope I spelled his name right).
That is the face that says, “Holy crap, what have I got myself into!?”

Yeah she does. When she saw Alastor, she was scared, yet still jumped in his face with a angelic spear, being protective.
Alastor was already one of my favourite Hazbin Hotel's characters but this AMV is soooo perfect ! I think that now Alastor is the one I love the most ♡

I find it interesting, because Alastor has all this power and rarely uses it, but when he does *he pulls an entire spaceship into the void with a snap of his fingers and a drop of blood*

I find this AMV revealing of what most fans don't seem to see with Alastor. They find him as a fun and interesting character, and I'll be 100 I agree with them. But he also sends off every alarm bell and red flag in my mind in this story. He is the smiling antagonist, I am sure of it. In the pilot, he literally managed to get the entirety of the Hotel under his thumb with little to no effort. A failing hotel and the daughter of satan is indebted to him, and the hotel now has actual staff that will no doubt be leaned upon. Alastor can now snap his fingers and the entire operation colapses under its own weight, and he is there to enjoy the way the building falls.
My theory is that he is just using Charlie to get to Lucifer as a means to take over Hell. It's perfect leverage, why else target the spawn, and for free at that. That's just my opinion!

@@OnceProphet exactly, which also leads to my theory that when the entertainment of watching the demons fail to find redemption, that his ultimate entertainment will be the failure of the hotel itself.
If there ever was to be a twist, it might be Alastor's redemption. That would be an outcome not even Alastor would forsee.
I have another theory, because he said that he likes to watch people (demons) they suffer from their helplessness, in attempts to improve. Suddenly, after playing enough, he will simply destroy the hotel and will already be watching the suffering of Charlie and the others?

There's a single "inconsistency" with Alastor's design that I only just noticed here. Sometimes Alastor's fingertips are totally red from final joint to nail tip, and sometimes just his fingernails are red. (And I put quotes on "inconsistency" because I don't want to watch this specific video too closely too many times in a row to clarify whether that's a true inconsistency or just one hand's one way and one hand's the other way. The special effects on this video make it hard to be sure what I'm looking at for figuring that out for sure.)
Watching a different video with a lot fewer special effects confirms that yes, it's a true inconsistency. Now I just have to decide not to let it bother me. (That'll be hard; I've got something resembling a hand fetish.)
