Wow, the new line up of automotive tools coming out is amazing. Retired military mechanic with 21 years of experience in diesel maintenance on heavy equipment. The cordless impact guns, the ratchets, die grinder, and the hand tools with sockets design with anti-roll technology built into them is amazing. I am particularly excited about the ratchets with the extended necks and the die grinder. To have one with no air hose or the need of an air compressor just opens up the versatility of utilization tremendously. A lot of times because of those pesky air lines you were force to remove an entire housing to conduct repairs, but now with this cordless die grinder the possibilities and flexibility to conduct repairs on sight has just been multiplied. I kind of wish the home depot's would carry in store the mechanics hand tools, so that you can see them and get your hands on them. For sure the stubby cordless impacts in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 will be put on my to get list as well as the die grinder. Thank you for an amazing video and to allow us to be with you through this video at the Milwaukee TSP.
    Very Respectfully,
    Carlos.

I just did a ball joint and tie rod end on my work car..I primarily use my tools in automotive applications..
( Hobby- DIY stuff)...I have these Milwaukee combination wrenches and ratcheting combo wrenches... Love em... so much I gave my co-worker all of my previous wrenches.. ~$300 worth of Gearwrench and Tekton. .. Fairly new wrenches... As far as combo wrenches the Milwaukee are my go-to now... they've got a great automotive tool line.. Thanks Vince for the "behind the scenes". ..🔧

I also have an older DeWalt DCF 820 18V 1/2" drive impact gun that is almost worn out and batts are very expensive to replace so that Milwaukee 1/2" impact gun is def on my need list when it comes out. Question about the Milwaukee torque wrench. Does it have an angle mode on it like my matco torque wrench? I deal with head bolts that require being torqued to spec (say 55 ft/lbs) then go back and add 90° to each bolt. My matco has this function built in so i dont have to get out an angle finder or mark the bolt and check it. Just set it to angle mode, set my spec, and start turning and it beeps when i hit the spec. Not trying to flex matco, but would be nice if the milwaukee has this as well.

Super excited for all of the new tools coming out. I have only one gripe though. I really wish they’d develop an m12 ratchet with the pass through style sockets. The gearwrench pass through sockets are the same as the craftsman ones, and like others as well. So pass through sockets have become a standard in their own right. As of now, craftsman has made the c3 max axess cordless pass through ratchet, but this was years ago. One of the main tool companies are going to eventually bring this idea back from the dead and reintroduce it to the market with updated brushless and battery technology, and I’d really be bummed if dewalt or makita did it. Someone who knows anyone at Milwaukee, please pass this up the chain?!

I really hope Milwaukee will come out with the electric torque wrench that does angle torque. I'm pretty sure every BMW tech would want to have one. Pretty much all bolts are torque to yield

I'm going to try that 1in impact.
If it stands up to the punishment it will get in an oilfield repair environment, it will take whatever else you can throw at it.
    I will let you know.
P.S. I'm real hard to impress, if it won't work and hold up, it can't stay!

Great tools, but the guy in the beginning needs more than a simple dust mask when grinding on aluminum. You definitely need a ventilation system and a respirator.

Id love to know what the warranty is on there hand tools. Are they marketing to compete with matco and snapon or is this more for the home diy guys. Also if they wanna sell that torque wrench to mechanics 250ftlbs would be my minimum and I would also like to know if they do angle torque as well as if it does newton meters.

I think they are shooting themselves in the foot on the 1/2 in torque wrench. I get it it's only a 12v ratchet but just about every other 1/2 in torque wrench goes to 250-300 ftlbs

Milwaukee has continued innovating. I've been in the electrical trade for 20 years. I've watch as contractors move from dewalt, to Bosch, and now Milwaukee. They dont even bother with dewalt any more. Bosch still has great tools that fill in the gaps Milwaukee hasnt covered or they just still have the tool that wont die. I'm currently getting away from dewalt in my personal tools, and moving to Milwaukee.

i have been so waiting for a cordless die grinder. im almost 100 percent away from air!!! i know theres times i have to use it but i hate it! idk about the sockets id prefer a super shallow set for these fwd cars. been doing this 39 years and its getting harder on me so any thing that makes it easier and faster im all for!!!! i see the die grinder and 1 inch in my future!!!! i love the fuel line!!!!

Do your wrenches fit snugly on the head of a bolt, or sloppy like Gearwrench. I'm not HAPPY with my Gearwrench wrenches.

Man i wish they would think about beefin up their bigger impacts with some kind of ip rating. I work in the oilfield and constantly have to worry with water, dirt, or mud with my gun and thats really the only thing that kills em out there. Maybe this might be doable in the future
