    You brought back an old memories.......60 odd years ago we lived in an old caravan (trailer) my dad and me, and the waste water just ran out of our sink and into a rut in the field. The owner of the field had geese who would come up every now and then to drink our washing up water. They would always sample it and throw their heads back clacking their beaks as if it was the the very best wine. There was also a horse that managed to get the door open and steal the loaf of bread the baker had delivered. The geese would drive the horses to the top of the hill and the peck the horse to make it gallop. Then they hung onto the horses tail and spread their wing so they could glide/fly behind the horse to the bottom of the hill. Only of course to do it all again.

      Id believe that, geese are crazy clever/cheeky. The Untitled Goose Game isn't far off. My grandfather's goose had a penchant for shoelaces. My sister at about 3 yo wore a dress out to his place once with a big ribbon bow on it, which the goose thought was the greatest thing ever. Chased her around snapping at the bow. Course, she was about the same size, and kinda scarred for life. I thought it was hilarious. Raptors would have been terrifying.
      Also, Ive seen pink n grey galahs climb a grassy hill, lie down n roll down it sideways, only to dizzly stagger back up to do it again. Birds absolutely have more smarts than given credit for. Solving puzzles for food rewards is one thing, coming up with games just for fun is next level.

    This type of video with you freely narrating about the animals as a voiceover could become an occasional thing! It's really relaxing and a nice change of pace from the other types of videos. Also, your tone of narration seemed different here (because you were probably sitting down and reacting to video instead of being out there doing chores), and it was different in a positive way. Please make more of these in the future :)

    I really liked this video! I have two geese and 11 ducks. I hand feed my birds every night, before they "go to bed", fresh greens such as kale, collards and giant dandelion greens. I LOVE watching my geese eat! The ripping and tearing is so cool, and they do it so fast. When their little tongues poke out of their beaks, as they eat, is stinking adorable! It's my favorite part of the day. I get one on one time with my birds, it's when they let me pet them, and they get "snacks". They know the words, "Birdie birds! I've got your snacks!". They come running, wings flapping, and making so much noise in their excitement! Now, they get excited and come running every time they hear my voice, but they are exceptionally louder when I bring snacks... Lol

    it's funny.. rather than breed ducks and geese, I breed fish - and a lot of what you say here about observing your animals and how you love just watching them do what they do and finding ways to improve their environment based on their perspective is what I do when it comes to my fish tanks. You learn so many invaluable lessons just by watching their behavior on an average day that you could never learn by reading an article somewhere, and that observation helps you a lot when it comes to spotting changes in their behavior when they're ill or something is wrong. Animals in general are just so amazing, and observation of them is one of my favorite things to do. You feel so much more connected to them and understanding of their behavior when you do!

    I was thinking the same thing. I love watching and hearing the grass eating up close!! I could also listen to their little feet go up and down that duck ramp all day! Why can’t you use an insert or use that heavy black tarp stuff used to make backyard fish ponds for your duck pond? Is there some explanation for that?

    • @Lemonade20016
      @Lemonade20016 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as the pool liners go, I believe he mentions in a past video that he wants the pond to be the most natural experience for his birds. With intentions to harvest them at some point, he doesn't want to expose them to unnatural chemicals/plastics that will leech into the water. I could have misremembered the details though

    • @dawsie
      @dawsie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s correct Morgan was looking into other options and with ducks and geese a pond liner would cause more problems in the hotter times as the water would receded naturally anyway and the liner would then be exposed and cause problems 🙈 it would become slippery which would then act as a sliding problem as to the other kind of liners that have a sand paper effect on them that would cost a lot more money than he would want to spend on a liner pulse liners over time do brake down and need to be replaced so not cost affective

    I always laugh so hard at the little clips you stick in “I wanna punch you in the face so bad right now”! 😂 Ahh! The exploding pillow days scare me sometimes. When the wind blows a bunch in one area ... it literally looks like an alien abducted one of my birds and left her feathers behind.... or an earthly predator.

    Maybe if you get them chewing toys like plastic rings for babies or dog toys they'll ease up on the chewing?

    Now, I KNOW you didn't REALLY try to go-pro Pablo! Untitled is a really sweet goose, he didn't mind the camera, just went about his goosey business.

    Lol they eat the grass through the fence even though there’s plenty within the fenced area. The grass is always greener...

    One of your best videos I think, so interesting!! Love that poor little untitled goose-cam goose, giving us a window into their life 😊

    The first thing that I noticed was the color of the sky! Such a beautiful turquoise blue!! Complete opposite of any waterfowl drinking water at the end of the day.
    I swear I heard you call the camera goose ' Entitled!'
    Wonderful video - really enjoyed it!
    Poor Pablo Escobarn!

    When I was little we used to have geese, and one of them which was handraised became one of my best childhood friends, he was such a character! He even got very attached to our dog, they played together, the gander even 'barked' whenever the dog barked, and we used to walk together around, kind of as a flock, I have lots of beautiful memories with that goose. :) Also when you mentioned how much can a goose fly, I immediatly remembered one of our other geese which actually was swift enough to fly, and wanted to share that with you. It was crazy, she once got scared by who knows what, she was quite skittish too, and flied away from our yard to the main street, that would be around 500-700 meters in lenght, but she was actually very up in the sky, maybe over 10 meters! I bet she could have been able to fly with a wild geese flock too...

    Great VR video
    Geese might be like parrots in that they bite things to feel texture, possibly because they also scavenge for food like said birds - hence the destructive behaviour.
