Absolutely love this video! Great info! I have a question about how you applied for a street stall? How did you provide all the measurements in the application? Thank you
Thank you so much for this vlog you have literally covered all the basics I really needed for help, I cannot thank you enough for this vlog. I have been looking for information that I understand and this is the best one I have come across. Thank you again!
Thank you so much Rex im so grateful for this, its something ive been procrastinating for far too long and you have given me the information and advise i needed to get started and am excited to actually do whats needed. Thank you so much. God bless you, wish you all the best
Great video. I've had a food idea for a while now and I'm finally thinking of giving it a go. It'll likely start as a side hussle as I work full time. The pre-marketing is a great idea, it's got me thinking.
Greeting Rex, thank you for making such an informative video. was browsing for such info from UK chefs, at last found your video in my suggestions. Many thanks again.
Thank you much the information. I hope you helf us .We doing Filipino restaurant this coming month ,I hope you can guide us to run this successful business.
Hey mate Great video, just 1 question I can’t find anywhere - the food hygiene inspection at home do they need to inspect the gazebo set up as well where you sell the food from? Thanks
What a great content, thank you for your honesty. I have this passion since I was a little girl, I live in apartments, how can I sell the food from home, always make me pause how the costumers get the food if I don't own restaurant that's what i mean?🤔Thanks!!!
Hi, Thank you for the video, it helped me a lot. I started recently my business and went for a stall. But at the moment I am considerino to get a trailer since it will make preparation, cooking and selling much easily. Do you know if there is some more requirements to have a trailer compared to a stall and if I have to reapply for a food rate certificate?
In short they all do the same thing, the comission rates are ridiculously high right now if i'm honest so yes you should use it to help with exposure but personally i wouldnt rely on the platforms completely.
This video was very helpful; thanks a lot. I have got some questions if you could help me; I am looking forward into launching my own weight gain product here in the Uk, & from my research, I do need a product liability insurance right? Pls any company you would recommend for that?
Thxs I've always wanted to do this but lack the courage. This video is very simplistic and its not that hard so thxs you. If I have any questions can you help as I'm going solo?
You are most welcome. Yes its true most things in life simply require just the courage to go ahead and give it a try. Dont be afraid to stumble or even "fail". Its the only way you will really learn to push forward =). Sure happy to answer a few simple questions, I do provide consulting if you are looking for serious progression. You can do it! I started solo too!
@@ChefRexDeGuzman Thank you that would be really helpful. I should have been more specific and asked how having a food business at home affects normal home insurance in your case.
Hmm it's a tough one, it depends on your neighbours. ultimately, assuming you were even busy enough that motorbikes were constantly collecting / delivering, then they could make a complaint to the council etc. having said that, if you kept your delivery hours within reasonable hours (I think before 10pm), in theory you should be okay. Hope that helps
Very good information. I want to register my foods business with the council to operate foods only for the weekend at home. Do you think I need to register business with the companies house? if so should i go for sole trader ? Many thanks
Good question, if youre just doing it part time / starting out i think you'll be fine as a sole trader but if your intention is to go full time and bigger then its worth setting up the company
Hi Rex, Your information on this video was really helpful so thank you. i am at the stage of trialing a food business, assessing the potential interest. i understand you have to have public liability insurance. is it expensive and where do you get it ?
Thank you so much for this! I'm following it precisely. I'm wondering if you can help me with a question - there are two of us starting the food business. Do we both need the certificate or does one cover the business as a whole?
You are most welcome, and hope it works for you! If you are referring to the Food Hygiene certificate then yes technically anyone who will handle food should be certified
Hi Rex, thanks for the video. Hope you are still on youtube. Are you allowed to make food for sale in your home kitchen if it has a washing machine in? additionally, do you have to sell it in a stall. can I literally just market it for my village, cook it and deliver it to people?
Thanks so much for your video I really like it I am in uk I wanted to do something like that but fining food containers are giving me problems please help me thanks
Hello Rex, Thank you for your video, really helpful. Just one question, I am planning to cook from home a kids food (1-3 years) and to be delivered to they're homes. Do I need to have food premises approval,as I'm prepared at the moment only with Level 2 Hygiene certificate and Food Allergy and intolerance training, i will register the firm and will wait for the health inspection, liability insurance need to have ? and thats everything in terms of requirements, do i miss something. Thank you very much, life saver!
@@viktoriqvasileva8624 I think you're pretty much set in terms of minimum requirements! If you've already applied to the council and are awaiting inspection, you can technically still start trading! Hope that helps, if there's anything I can recommend it's to make sure you have systems for taking temperatures etc
