That Isntree yam cleanser was my favourite until my sensitive skin found and fell in love with G&G Jelly Joker. It is smooth, easy to use and doesnt leave any kind of feeling on skin except feeling "fresh and so clean" 😂. Highly recommend it to all my fellow sensitive skin earthlings out there 🙂😊!

Looking for a cleanser for my mother-in-law who has dry, sensitive skin and is newly interested in K-Beauty. Your video was SO helpful! Thank you! And I love your lip colour!
I have dry and sensitive skin too, and have tried so many Japanese and Korean cleansers so far, and I found that using a milk or cream type in the AM and then a gel type in the PM works best for me. I also prefer cleansing oils to balms, as I find balms hard to rinse off, Fancl and Curel are the two cleansing oils I repurchase. I used to love the Siorus cleansers, although my favourite milk ones are defo that Isntree yam cleanser, and also the Make Prem Cleansing Milk which is thicker but similar, and Sana Nameraka cleansing cream. For gels, the Kaine gel cleanser is my current fave. Bioma have a nice cleanser too.
Alice! hi! As someone who’s also dry and acne prone, the Cerave BPO 4% is really good. I also love using the prequel gleanser, haru haru cleansing gel, the ordinary glypolipid cream cleanser, cetaphil acne cream cleanser, Cerave hydrating oil foaming cleanser and Heimish all clean green foam.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole hahahahah I know what you mean. The Gleanser is amazing. Also, I really love their oat cream ( replaced Cerave ) the only thing I’m not trying is their hypochlorous acid spray because I pay $12 for 16oz.
I have the Fresh Kombucha Essence Treatment and I have to say that the product works every single time single penny 😅. I have a good routine that works for me, but my skin type is dry and peels, I thought “OK this is what it is”. When I found the kombucha essence treatment this changed my skin in less than a week, also I have been a skincare fan since I can remember and nothing worked like this one. I didn’t know about the cleansing treatment 😮.
I have dry but not acne-prone skin and have always used super basic cleansers like Cerave hydrating and Vanicream, but Pacifica and Isintree sound lovely, definitely want to try them out.
Ah, interesting about using the Fresh one for a morning wash as opposed to some who I've seen use the Avene thermal spring water spray for their morning face refresh.
Forgot to say, Stylevana sent me the notice that the advent calendar was avail this week so I placed in cart today but then I got the weekend half off code.....so hmmmm...I then went back and found 12 amazing highly rated products on sale for total of $70.00, plus 2 full size gifts. So for this low price I scored 14 products.💖 I did not buy the calendar but very happy with my choices.💖
Every attempt to buy CeraVe (with a coupon in hand) ended with another value product. I have to agree for the value, the Pacifica Vegan Ceramide cleanser will appease many different skin types. However, I really miss the cleanser from their coconut line. It was the best formulation Pacifica ever had ... little amount turns the cream to foam cleanser and ends with deep hydration.
I have combo skin lean toward oily side and double cleanse dry out my skin too. I used the albolene hydrating micellar milk as first cleanser and gel cleanser as 2nd step. My face feels very dry after shower.
I have combo skin too and I also noticed I do feel dry after a double cleanse. I think my skin is actually dehydrated so dry skin ingredients like macadamia and mango seed oil really breaks me out. And I don't normally don't have acne issues.
My all time favorite cleanser is the Korres foaming cleanser. I also love that I can usually restock during Ulta sales for half off! But if I'm ever in a pinch, that Pacifica one sounds like something I'd like.
I want to nominate Prequel's Gleanser for sensitive skin! It's such an amazing and weird texture (kind of like snail mucin sticky?) but it still foams up a bit and it has never made me feel dry or itchy after, even on my worst sensitive and sensitized days
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I've tried most things except their hypoclorous acid and their urea cream (out of stock), and I've loved it all. The healing ointment is kind of too similar to cerave IMO so I won't repurche it, but the barrier therapy cream and the cleanser are absolute winners
I use Simple Water Boost micellar water in the morning. Sadly, once I’m through the bottles I have, I’ll have to find a replacement, because it’s been discontinued. My skin can’t handle any scent or fragrance even in rinse off products. The Fresh product has scent and is a bit out of my price range. So, that won’t be it, but it’s not an immediate problem for me. I agree with you for the products I need and use. When my skin is very dry and reactive, I use the Beauty of Joeson cleansing balm as my first cleanse, but I’m leaning towards using the oil you picked more often than I expected. And when my skin is more dry and dehydrated than “normal,” I use the Ceramedx Extra Gentle Body Cleanser for my second cleanse or as my only cleanser. When my face can’t tolerate water, I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It seems to work as well as the Avene Toleriane Extremely Gentle Cleanser for a lot less money.
Hello Alice, I hope you are feeling well today. The gentlest cleanser I have found is the La Roche Posay lipikar syndet AP+ wash cleanser, it is like a foam with cream, although I would prefer it not to foam, because I leave the bathroom full of water and I use it more in the shower and for convenience I use an oil cleanser from Etude and I don't do a second cleansing, because it doesn't leave a greasy residue on the skin and if I do a second cleansing it's too much for my dry skin. I was waiting for a video from you, because you brighten my life and help me make good decisions. Thank you, I love your content and your intros, in general the entire video and I don't care if it lasts half an hour or however long it lasts. A big hug Alice 😘
Thank you for the kind words! It’s been an annoying cold but thankfully not too bad in severity (just the kind that drags on, gah!) Interesting to hear Etude has a nice cleanser. I associate them with makeup in my mind, but I’ve noticed the makeup-focused brands often make great makeup removers!
Hi Alice, my fav has always been the Aveeno Oatmeal foaming Cleanser after I use the Bioderma miscellar water. With that said, since I have dry acne prone skin, I ordered a few Cleansers from kbeauty Like Lagom, Haruharu and BOJ green plum Cleanser to test out, hope I do not break out, lol.😂 I cannot use cleansing oils.
So I was in the “rinse only in the morning” camp until I tried the Lagom cleanser and now I cleanse most mornings 😅 It’s lovely, let’s hope they never discontinue it.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole this is my excuse for trying out a million things - you need options in different categories so you have a backup if products get discontinued. Or at least this is what I tell myself as I ponder my overflowing product stash 😜
yay product favs!!! been loving the 107 chaga jelly cleanser lately for my dry skin, SO fun to use! ill admit i dont like cream cleansers too too much, but i do like the la roche posay one as i feel it rinses off quite cleanly!
Do you have other recommendations for cleansing water category? Not necessarily as a dupe for fresh, but anything else that we can use without washing it off?
Any micellar water that says “no rinse” has been tested in a leave-on capacity. Granted, tested isn’t the same as works for every last person, which I think is why some do well with Bioderma but not Garnier, for example And in K-Beauty, there are quite a few cleansing water options. I liked Innisfree’s blueberry cleansing water!
Have you tried the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser? It's the only cleanser that doesn't strip my skin and I'm curious how some of these would compare.
I recently ordered the skin1004 and lagom cleansers after diving into your video archive searching for the best one for my skin type and needs (makeup wearer who doesn't like to double cleanse, sensitive and sometimes dehydrated skin + some mornings or no makeup days i just want the gentlest). After watching this video, it feels like i got an A for my choices 😂
My favourite cleanser is bioderma Hydrabio (blue bottle). I don’t think sensibio drys out my skin, but it certainly doesn’t lock in hydration. My skin does not feel dry at all after using hydrabio. In fact, it’s more hydrating for my skin than washing with tap water. So on really dry weather, I’ll use it instead of tap water.
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleyea so it’s weird that people recommend us dry skin folks to splash your face with just water in the morning, when a hydrating cleanser could be much better.
PAULA'S CHOICE Pore Reducing Cleanser has become one of my favorite cleansers of all time. It cleans my skin but leaves it so silky soft. I tried of the Pacifica and I ended up throwing it away. It was awful.
I would REALLY be interested to know what your thoughts are on the Prequel Glycerin cleanser (Gleanser) from Dr Sam. It’s new and I’m so interested in it since it’s got 50% glycerin! Wonder if it’s suitable for acne prone skin. You should order it and review 😊 Also any SA cleansers you like to swap out with the BP cleanser for clogged pores?
I need to cleanse in the morning. My face does not feel clean unless I do. I like the L.P. Lipakar AP gentle foaming cleaning oil for dry to extra dry skin this time of year and in the winter. Seems to work decent for me. I also use ELF cleansing balm at the end of each day to remove my mineral sunscreen. If you use mineral sunscreen you definitely need to double cleanse. Cleanser alone does not remove it.
Alice, did you ever review the Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cleansing Water that you hauled several months ago? I was wondering how you like it compared to the Fresh one. And I'm a sucker for any skincare that is fruit themed or based. Oh, and w00t for the Stylevana Advent Calendar being back in stock last night. I basically apparated (faster and more mystical than flying, yo) to my laptop and bought it before I missed out. Thanks for your code, doll!
Well, I tried, I really did try to have some for this Prime Sale. Um... I failed so so hard! Granted, I'm extremely excited to have gotten both brands and/or products I've wanted to try for a while at an amazing sale price. Add to this restocking favorite products for 50% off, and I'm not sure why I actually thought I could exhibit any self-restraint. 😂 Love the Isntree cleanser!! 🥰
Hi Alice, I may try out the Isntree yam cleanser since I have dry scaly skin after over exfoliation. 😂 My skin cannot take the foaming cleanser already... 😅 The RNW tea tree oil ampoule you recommend for acne breakout, I just wish to say thank you for the best solution for the acne marks the moment they come back. Love it. 😊
I just turned 51 and all my life I was combo oily and probably wouldn’t have watched this video. Now my skin does all the things. My nose and forehead are still really oily, my cheeks and chin are “normal,” my under eyes are dehydrated, and in the winter my upper lip is dry to the point of flaking from Tretinoin use…..
I want say thanks for all the research you must have done, but when you said that you're not good at animal identification---I was rolling on the floor! You are informative, and hilarious.
Any good recommendations for a ‘one step cleanse’ at night. I have been double cleansing because i do wear sunscreen ( no makeup). But sometimes I couldn’t be bothered doing a double cleansing. 😅 Your girl is a new mum. So busy. 🥹
Aww congrats! Aside from the skin1004, tbh I think you could use either of the first two for all in one cleansing depending on how difficult your sunscreen is to remove ☺️
2023 has been VERY disappointing for no new releases on VERY gentle creamy cleansers. I recently bought LRP Dermo cleanser. My eyes don't tolerate the film left behind from that cleanser. I stopped double cleansing because the extra tugging started irritating my face more due to rosacea. I like a clean, fresh feeling but I don't want to feel stripped or a film left behind. It is difficult for me. I really thought I would see more GENTLE options come out but nope. 😤
Despite having oily t-zone (ready for harvest!), I very much enjoy Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk cleanser, because it does the job so well and without unnecessary stripping. I simply refuse to believe that anyone enjoys that squaky clean feeling - smile or raise your eyebrows and your skin pops right off your face. No thank you 🙃 and yes, racoons wash their food and that unfortunate felllow tried it with cotton candy 😂
Have you tried the Laniege cream skin cleanser ? I like that for a one step cleanser when I’m not using any makeup. Kelly Driscoll hates it but I don’t mind it !
@@AliceintheRabbitHole omg girl what!! Definitely check it out!! I don’t love it for makeup but I think it works great for sunscreen. But if you like that squeaky clean feeling you won’t like this, it leaves your skin feeling untouched, in a good way. It could be used on wet or dry skin, as a first or second cleanse ! I also enjoy it for the morning on the rare days i cleanse in the am
I’m so nervous to try anything else from the Pacifica vegan ceramide line because I used their eye cream and oh my gosh every time I used it it BURNED my eyes so bad ! Not sure why but now I’m hesitant
I'm very dry. My favourite cleanser is the rovectin skin conditioning clesnser. I foam a pea sized amount in my hands and then cleanse with it after my oil cleanse. It leaves my skin baby soft and supple. Most people use far too much of this and apply it straight to the skin.
That’s a good one! And yeah I agree. K-Beauty cleansers work so much better when used in that way. It is a big contrast to what most western brands suggest (with their “dime size” descriptions and applying to dry skin). The nice benefit of KB cleansers being: they last FOREVER lol!!
Good video....I just use cetaphil and micellar water for a double cleanse. Not related...but, my eyebrows stop halfway!...do you use a brow product you love and what is it, if you have an opinion? I not only have to fill in, I have to create the end of my brow.
Mm brows are frustrating for me due to how sparse mine are! My personal favorite is still Joah’s precision brow pencil, partially because it’s hard to find a cooler toned, light brow pencil and partly because the formula leans a little more creamy. I do think creamy is helpful for those of us that have more to fill in!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I have the Shu Uemura Hard Pencil which I heard was the best but i find it difficult to draw a tail. But the colors are great, I have in Seal Brown, no red in it. I have a #9 pencil and they also make a #6, which is a softer pencil. I'll try the Joah pencil in Cool Taupe. Thanks
Hahaha I finally told my fiancé he will use what cleansers I buy for him...( well technically he pays lol ) I get the CeraVe Acne washes. No more clean and clear garbage over here lol
I have a question , kind of unrelated, but sometimes after I cleanse my products after , typically my toner , seem to almost emulsify? On my palms before I put it on my face. For example the cosrx propolis toner almost bubbles?(not the best way to describe it) why does this happen, does this mean I’m not rinsing off my cleansing well enough?
I’ve had that happen as well! I suspect it happens from interacting with another product (or indeed, water). It seems some products layer beautifully, others need to be applied with a wait time in between steps!
I would say no, from what I’ve tried. Round Lab makes nice cleansers, but they are foaming (I think all of them? Dokdo and birch for sure). In contrast, the yam root cleanser does not foam at all
My fav cleansers for everyday are Bioderma sensibio Aveeno daily moisturizing Drunk Elephant and couple of times a week Tatcha Rice wash! Omg it makes my face so soft lol I use Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM exfoliating cleanser it’s not drying at all SA GA MA and lots of moisturizers it’s amazing!!!! Cleanser alone does not remove it.
Thank you for sharing!
Prime Day really does have some incredible deals on K-Beauty!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole CosRX propolis moisturizer is 65% off right now. They must want me to go broke! 😂
Love it. 😊
So happy you’re enjoying that! I’ve been breaking out due to my cold and I gotta admit - that’s a very underrated product for combating acne!
Ooh ouch! Flaking skin is quite painful 😔
I want say thanks for all the research you must have done, but when you said that you're not good at animal identification---I was rolling on the floor! You are informative, and hilarious.
Hello. Can you check on Abib pore cleansing oil please? Also same company collagen eye patch? 🙏
Congratulations on 40k👍❌️⭕️
Thank you so much 🥰
2023 has been VERY disappointing for no new releases on VERY gentle creamy cleansers.
Oh interesting, thanks so much for sharing! The poor little fella, if he could talk we would have heard him say “WHERE DID IT GO!?!” 🤣😂
Have you tried the Laniege cream skin cleanser ? I like that for a one step cleanser when I’m not using any makeup. Kelly Driscoll hates it but I don’t mind it !
Whoa how did I miss this products existence!? I’ll have to check it out!
I love your videos! Quick question: Do you still like/use the medicube booster?
Yep! I am planning to re-rank my devices, so as a spoiler: I still like it, but it moved down in terms of favorites (and Ziip and Ussera moved up!)
I’m so nervous to try anything else from the Pacifica vegan ceramide line because I used their eye cream and oh my gosh every time I used it it BURNED my eyes so bad ! Not sure why but now I’m hesitant
Oh ouch!! Like the eye area or it burned your eyes like a sunscreen? 😱
@@AliceintheRabbitHole it burned my under eye area right where I applied it, like when you apply certain chemical sunscreens actually!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I wonder if some western cleansers would work better that way? They seem so harsh
Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Super cute outfit!
Thank you 🎃😁 Hope you have a great week too!
The Fresh one has fragrance... well, at least I'm oblivious to this one 😆
Same lol. It must be very light!
Is the yam cleanser similar to round lab cleansers?
I would say no, from what I’ve tried. Round Lab makes nice cleansers, but they are foaming (I think all of them? Dokdo and birch for sure). In contrast, the yam root cleanser does not foam at all
Hi. Busy day. It was my son's birthday! He is 34.❌️⭕️
Yay!! I hope he had a happy birthday! 😁🎉
My husband loves Cerave.❌️⭕️
i love u alice
🥰😁
Ah the isntree yam one has fatty alcohols. I wouldnt trust fatty alcohols on sensitive skin tbh. Reacts so bad for me.
BINGO 🎉😂😂❤
🤣💕

My fav cleansers for everyday are Bioderma sensibio Aveeno daily moisturizing Drunk Elephant and couple of times a week Tatcha Rice wash! Ooh I do like the Tatcha rice wash too! Thank you for sharing ☺️💕
Love the 2% BHA, so so good especially as my skin does not usually like salicylic acid products @pneetjhangri
