I've the Sim 2 also Stuart, got fitted last year, hit it well when my swings in rhythm,😉 I prefer the look of the Titleist, but unfortunately they don't fit that brand, I can see your point of using the 60 as it's slowing down whereas the bump and run rolls out,
I dont play loads of golf on Links turf these days but on my last few rounds at Birkdale I have loved the 60 everywhere as the green are so fast I like the grip to control it. you do have to be careful with accurate strikes though so not for the faint-hearted.
Pick a club and get used to it, when we use lots of different lofts they all react differently so we need to adjust for that. Without a lifetime of managing these differences (and from all different lies) a quick route to more consistency is to limit the clubs used until you can consistently control the distances.
@@cartersmithgolf Yes, we're both doing well thank you. Thinking about you guys too obviously. Are you guys coming up to Corrines CoppaFeel Charity Day? Be nice to have a chat if you do. For sure course management come easier to some than others. It can be taught but do you think it's down to personality? I have a playing partner (good golfer) who I constantly have to rein in. He 'sees' shots I wouldn't even consider because of the risks involved in taking them on... admittedly he can produce fantastic shots and gets more eagles than I do. However, he definitely get more bogeys (and above) than me also 🙄
@@cartersmithgolf it's around your guys Wedding Anniversary Stu, Sunday 31st July, that's why you couldn't come last year (after Maddie reminded you😉)...you were getting married lol Agreed, it'd be lovely if you could manage it 🤞 Either way...have a great Anniversary 👍
@@cartersmithgolf I wish it was as good as yours stuart, do you play in regular comps when your career and other circumstances allow it, best wishes to maddy
Great playing Steve. The 60 is for me indeed not a good option. I've become more comfortable using the iron 9 which is in my case 43 degrees. Thx for the vid and best wishes. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

Exactly, that's probably why links player's only use the 60 when really necessary 😉 takes a lot of confidence to use it regularly
Interesting vlog, I’m still not sure when I play if I’m better off sticking with one club to chip with I find a 9 iron gives me the best results.

Nice vlog Stu.
Course management, the most underrated club in the bag 👍👍👍
Thanks Kent, yeah it comes quite naturally to some but always so vital to everyone. Hope you are well pal. 👍

Yeah a 9iron is a good choice. Much less movement and a nice and consistent roll. 💪💪👍
