    Im 20mins from Mt Torlesse and 45mins from castle hill.
    The majesty that is New Zealand..
    I lived thru the christchurch earthquakes of 2010/11..
    An unforgettable memory of Earth's sheer violence and fury unleashed on my fellow kiwi's humbles me and my respect for our planet has grown since..hence the vid im watching!

    I still don't know how our oldest rocks got mixed up with the much younger ones. Also these older rocks are of sedimentary origin & not continental? Therfore, they can't be called continental rock which is plutonic by nature. N.Z. is the result of "deposition" of material eroded from Gondwana into a trough. So how come this region is classified as a long lost continent when is was really just a continental debris "rubbish dump"?
