I’ve tried both on. One thing I noticed is the Mocs fit like a glove and are better for a lower to mid volume foot. People with high volume feet may like the croc style better. I have some fake crocs now but the croc style shoes I have an issue with lower volume feet shifting forward causing toe bumping the front of the shoe.Didnt notice anything like that on the Mocs.
Get the Hydro Mocs. I bought one, then bought 5 more colors. My Crocs are only for taking out the trash now. Also, the Yeezy FoamRunners jacked the Hydro Mocs style. Hydros dropped in 2019, Foams dropped in 2020.
@nf4866 yes but not AS wide as the Crocs. My favorite now out of all of them are Pollex Crocs by Salehe Bembury. They slip on fairly easily, are comfortable, and the sole doesn't wear down fast unlike the Hydro Mocs. I've gone through about 3 pair of Hydros now.
@@SupaVlinSantonE ok, good to know. Thanks for the answer. I wasn't expecting one on a year old comment but figured I'd take a shot before I made an impulse purchase online.
hi! have you heard about or tested the crocs all-terrain atlas shoe? i would be super interested in a comparison between those and the merrell hydro moc
I was actually about to buy crocs but then I saw the hydro mocs online, they look good and I am already a merrel user so I was able to decide to get the mocs. It's great and I like that it is convenient to use and the quality is very great. There are new colorways which I chose greyblack. Great clogs and I think it will last
At first I got the hydro Mocs cause they looked more masculine than the crocs. Then one day after having the hydro Mocs for a few months. I decided to go into a store and just try on a pair of crocs to see what the hype is all about. The hydro Mocs felt better than the crocs
I dont understand the sole patter on the merrel, are they fine for walking on asphalt or best for wet conditions? Will the traction suffer from being used on dry and rough/hard terrain?
The Merrells fit better, lighter and comfier but the sole grip wears out a bit more with the Merrells than the crocs and the merrells are slippier on wet mud (eg wet river bank). My skinny wet feet slip around inside the crocs more when walking on rocks with wet feet.
Hydromocs would be better if they had texture on the inside for grip. I own Crocs and hydro mocs. The overall ergos of hydro mocs are better than Crocs, however, Crocs just gets the little details like the grip texture and the scupper holes better than Merrell does
The hydros don't have holes at the very front of the shoe wich is not good imo, as soon as i seen that i got dissapointed tbh. My crocs always get sand and rock in them at the beach but just with a lift and tilt of the foot the front drain holes get the sand out quick. Love the look of the hydros though.
I’m looking for a shoe to just pop on and leave outside on the porch for when I’m running in and out. I like the Mocs but idk how well it’s going to work trying to put them out with no hands. I also hate shoes that fall off when walking up steps.
I own hydro mocs....for at least a year. Superior for any athletic usage. I've hiked 18 miles in mine. Love them. Zero chance I'm buying the new version @175$$$...nutz
Hello! Have you ever had any issues with the hydro mocs on the back of your feet? When I first bought them it rubbed the back of my feet or heel and it was causing me trouble it irritated me while I walk , have you had any issues like that? Do they need breaking in first so the heel part will soften?
Is the toe box as wide? Also, the toe spring on the merrells looks higher which is a little unnatural that contributes to plantar fasciitis. Would you say it goes down smoothly or is it firm?
My wife actually works for the parent company of Merrell so I get to try things out before they hit the market and I’m glad to see someone finally do this comparison. Have you checked out the Sperry Float? It’s basically a boat shoe version of a Hydro Moc/Croc and they’re pretty great imo.
Please help! Strap came off on one side of my Hydro Mocs. How do I fix this? I’ve tried reinserting with my fingers to no avail. I practically live in these. I love them. They’re comfortable. I’m 68 years old. Help me please.
i bought them about $55 no tax.. i bought at a store.. is not good to walk in public places? i wear with no socks on.. my feet can have some fresh air.. i want the tan color 1.. but they only have it in black color.
Hi, great content. What do you think about this Merrell shoes for water parks? I used ones like the ones surfers use but ended with blisters. I'm looking for aqua shoes that are comfortable enough to walk all day, that can be worn inside the water attractions, and that are the only shoes needed inside a water park. Thanks.
I have both i love both but in my opinion crocs are true to size i have a huge problem with my feet when i buy shoes since im autistic they have to fit and feel a certain way i usually only wear slip on's only now cause shoe laces bother me i tie one side to tight or to loose never the same so its quite annoying to buy shoes for me but like i said the crocs are true to size like the merrell hydro mocks i bought crocs a size down and they were too tight for me maybe thats just me idk 🤷♂️ but great review
I’m glad crocs make people happy. To me they’re just really ugly shoes. I’m not sure what the best way to rock the hydro Mocs is in a way they look “cool” but I like the shape better.
I got the hydro mic and the swift water, it felt good on swift water first because of the mesh and the debris doesn’t fall through the holes like hydro mod but then slowly I changed to hydro mic instead because the sole is way too thin on swift water
@@robertclarke7411 they don't hold water, I wear them kayaking, wading around in water a lot. I do a bit of rock fishing in them crawling around on slippery rocks and they have excellent grip. They're incredibly comfortable and easy to slip on and off. They're not great in sand or really muddy stuff. Sand seems to find a way in the holes and weigh your feet down and the mesh stuff on top doesn't dry very quickly.
Trust me these arent for adventure purposes. Get proper trail shoes. I climbed a mountain with a pair of crocs. I literally slipped more than 20 times. Went home full of bruises and mud. Lol
I have both. Both excellent. Merrells are better as shoes you wear out walking, hiking, etc. The crocs are better around the yard, garden, beach because you can slip them on and off more easily, especially if your hands are occupied. Both companies are woke but crocs came out supporting the gr000ohoomers i think so i am done with crocs and will just get the copies

Was impressed with the comfort and look of Merrell, bought 2 Hydro Mocs. On sale here in Oz for AU30/US20.

Do the mocs have the wide toebox like crocs? It's hard to tell from looking at them.

Initially, but not long term. Crocs feel better throughout the day vs. merrells.
Hydromoc look really nice but the heel taper from the crocs is just 👌🏼

merrell needs to read this comment section and make some improvements 😗
how about vs the crocs LITERIDE? are the merrell more cushioned?
Picked up a few Mocs today as they were on sale for $45 and get two more for $22.50 each and I have to say I really like it as a alternative to Crocs.
That's a steal! And I agree

What about arch support in the hydro moc? Crocs have excellent arch support.
Hydromog just look better to me. Those seem like a foam runner competitor

just wondering are the sizes the same like if you wear 9 then 9 would fit

I think they would be great for that. But I'm not sure how amazing it would be for true wet grip. It's going to be convenient thats for sure

wish they made the toe box wider for real feet.
Merrells feel better initially, but Crocs stand the test of time throughout the day. Crocs 100% better hands down.
Do merrel get hot in summer? 🤔
Crocs for life! ❤
Oh, so the strap that makes it come of less easily, makes it come off less easily. Got it.
I never knew crocs were considered a water shoe.
Hint is in the name 😂
@@spa2damax that’s true although even throughout its popularity growth I’ve never seen anyone wear them as water shoes while camping. Makes sense
I find the hydro fits big
Hmm would you say you have wide feet? I think that might be the reason
Tried these, and the back tab started to hurt my ankle after a while
Yikes, even without the extra lock? That sucks
@@BillyVisuals Yeah, though I think it could be a fitting problem due to half sizes not being available
I have Merrells. I have Crocs. I love my Crocs, and my merrells hurt my feet.
You should test them on escalators.
Yikes, I think I've seen a pretty bad article about the Crocs being eaten up by an escalator. That is scary

I think khaki pants and grey socks for an adventure vibe. Or black cropped pants with white socks is pretty good too
@@BillyVisuals No socks look good with clogs/sandals it’s just a big NO. It looks like you’re on day release from an institution.
Gonna give this a try. Not sure if this has as roomy a toe box as crocs though.
Not as roomy as accentuated as Crocs, but I still think it's more than enough
