I realized you've been there playing in the background since day one of me deciding to work for myself b4 i had any of this. Rob, I'm 56 years old and I'm gonna give you my opinion on it. Shiny new things are fun to play with, especially when you've gotten to a successful point in your life and you can afford to play with them. At the end of the day though, I think you would be best suited with an old girlfriend or friend that you have known for a long time. You may have thought about taking it further in the past but didn't for some reason. They are gonna be able to relate to you in a lot of ways that someone younger can't. Someone that what they bring to the table is how they make you feel, they are there for you, and they support you. Someone that can be a good friend in addition to a romantic interest. The reason I say someone you've known is because y'all were friends or more before you made it. They may not be as flashy as a younger one, but they are a hell of a lot more comfortable. Find one that can travel with you and knows something about cars.

Hats off to you Rob for owning up to it, and good for you for follow your own advice. It's easy to dole out, but difficult to adhere to stuff like this. As someone who's been the victim of abuse, and to some extent allowed myself to be abused, compromised myself, I've become hyper vigilant about stuff like this. But man it sucks making those realizations.

Rabbit, like yourself, I talk a lot. I think fast and I talk fast. Also like you; I am a leader, I am the owner, I'm the boss, I'm the one held accountable, I have people who depend on me. I can tend to pontificate, for better or worse, on some subjects and things. Many people, specifically from my past, who come up to me saying "how my words were so important or impressive to them, that they always remember them". After graciously saying thank you, I always ask, what did I say?, They tell me, and 60% of the time my response is. "Yeah that sounds like something I would say". To which I say to you Rabbit, just keep talking, you are a good person and will continue to say good things. Yeah we eat some crow every now and then. Nobody is perfect, and nobody has all the answers all the time. This was a very genuine and well thought out video, keep the information, advise, and stories coming man, because for the majority you got to eat the crow pie for, the rest of us are feasting on bottomless entertainment and knowledge.

I’m nowhere near where you are. I will deal some cars and I do OK but I tend to pick the fixer uppers to date and watching this video really woke me up. I already knew that I did it but thank you.
When you told her "was it insulting or was it close to home" and she lost it...nailed it. She knew when she saw it and didn't want to admit it to herself and then did what they all do when confronted with reality. Blame the man. You dodged a bullet.
My condolences to this man's family. May he rest in peace. With that said, the comment section is proof that society is due for a shake, rattle and roll global event. Forget about the material things. And we all must be able to park our ego in a garage that is locked only you don't have the key. Give it to the one person you love and respect that never tell you what you wanna hear. That person would have let you have it in this particular case or if it was similar. We need more context. Long distance, as in you met face to face when you first met or did you meet thru any type of technology? If it wasn't in passing and face to face, it was not organic. If there was no electricity is what I am saying. We are all actors on the the stage we call life, many play multiple roles at a time. Were they dating? Or were they meeting up to hang out followed by laying down or whatever to close out the night? Think about if you were a professional athlete and end up with whoever slid into your DMs or you slid into hers. All that is or can be is anything but genuine. Most athletes should try visiting museums when they have free time. If they happen to meet a woman or strike up a conversation with one in thst setting, its actually possible she won't know who you are or recognize you. Even if she does, it is an instant long shot following an actual, hi, my name is...its was nice to talk to you/meet you/etc. Best if you don't exchange numbers since you recognized her the last few times you walked the museum exhibits. Slow it down and just observe your surroundings is the moral to the story behind that approach. Relationships are hard. They are even harder today due to technology. It has made society its own worst enemy along with our own egos in life. Love yourself for who you are. Sometimes there is no room for another person in your life. Just don't cry about it later. Look back and be proud of all your life. Be honest with yourself. Good luck in these unprecedented times.

That, Sir Robert, is wonderful news. It’s nice to see good people performing at their prime, love it. I’ve never understood the grief people feel at a friend doing well - and that’s sort of how I see you; a friend I’ve never actually met… Creeepy :) You know what I mean :) I saw you first on VinWiki and since that first story, boom, great bloke, I’ll keep an eye on this fella. It’s worked out good for us all mate, and, might I add, long may it continue. There’s no amount of money that can buy that internal happiness that lets a chap sleep easy at night. It’s been a great day and this has topped it off (even though it was over a year ago). A friend who is killing herself basically because she has an odd aversion to food, emailed me that she’d put a stone on in six months, which is MASSIVE news fir this woman. If I lost a stone nobody would know a thing… To hear you, a fellow I’ve taken advice from and even a happy birthday wish by you (just a chancel comment years ago) watched and most of all, laughed with (laughed at sounded a bit wrong), well, it just tops it off. That is a quality really not found in many people... especially.. someone who is a growing celebrity... 9/10 of them... Well their status is already gone to their head... You seem to be like the type of guy a normal everyday work in class slob like me wouldn't mind having a beer with and shooting the breeze.... Your Aunt and anyone else who may disrespect your place in your Grandparents lives can do only what you let them, to your memory of that lost loved one. If your Aunt was the executor, well, you know it's her decision. But keep track of the car, find a way to buy it. If it's meant to be, it will be. But no one, can take from you the memories you shared with your Grandma. Believe me. I have walked that road. Sorry for your loss man.

Good advice. Know your worth... At least you didn't have kids together. I don't think the high road ran through my daughter's mother's town either. I just didn't figure that out until almost 9 years later and now we have a daughter turning 4 in February. I've been supporting both my daughter and her mother since we've been together. Out of all the dozen or so women I've been with this one hides her true colors the best. I'd be lying if I said she wasn't playing me like a pawn shop guitar. However since the family courts are crooked and I don't want her turning my daughter into another shallow hypergamous female I have a very difficult situation on my hands. Furthermore to my surprise the more you sacrifice and the better you provide for an unemployed "stay at home mom" the worst they treat you. It's unreal the type of lies that come out of thier mouth and they are very good at convincing everyone around you that you are in the wrong. Then all the other unemployed females they know are like an echo chamber of encouragement to her deceitful ways. I'll put it like this, if my daughter's future wasn't on the line I would have a lot more money and if nothing else I would have that and peace. However instead I have been enduring exactly what you had the sense to save yourself from. You listened to your gut and it saved your ass. Sorry to hear your relationship came to and end but think about for a second how much money, headache and heartache you saved yourself from. Just keep doing you brother. Things will be better. I worked for 25 years in network tv here in NY and my wife worked in theatre on the management side, we’ve literally met hundreds of people who were “famous” in one way or another. And maybe a dozen or so were real people that actually cared about people and were genuinely nice caring folks. Sadly most only cared about what you could do for them and the minute we changed jobs they disappeared like Casper. (Look it up). You’re right step back and take a good look at what’s really going on.

My condolences to this man's family. May he rest in peace. With that said, the comment section is proof that society is due for a shake, rattle and roll global event. Forget about the material things. And we all must be able to park our ego in a garage that is locked only you don't have the key. Give it to the one person you love and respect that never tell you what you wanna hear. That person would have let you have it in this particular case or if it was similar. We need more context. Long distance, as in you met face to face when you first met or did you meet thru any type of technology? If it wasn't in passing and face to face, it was not organic. If there was no electricity is what I am saying. We are all actors on the the stage we call life, many play multiple roles at a time. Were they dating? Or were they meeting up to hang out followed by laying down or whatever to close out the night? Think about if you were a professional athlete and end up with whoever slid into your DMs or you slid into hers. All that is or can be is anything but genuine. Most athletes should try visiting museums when they have free time. If they happen to meet a woman or strike up a conversation with one in thst setting, its actually possible she won't know who you are or recognize you. Even if she does, it is an instant long shot following an actual, hi, my name is...its was nice to talk to you/meet you/etc. Best if you don't exchange numbers since you recognized her the last few times you walked the museum exhibits. Slow it down and just observe your surroundings is the moral to the story behind that approach. Relationships are hard. They are even harder today due to technology. It has made society its own worst enemy along with our own egos in life. Love yourself for who you are. Sometimes there is no room for another person in your life. Just don't cry about it later. Look back and be proud of all your life. Be honest with yourself. Good luck in these unprecedented times.

I’ve just watched this video (sorry brother, I’ve been out of the loop a bit, been working crazy, though we must never moan about being busy!) and you very nearly made a 6.4 skinhead, built like a brick thunderbox, (I don’t aim to look like that, I look ridiculous with hair and I’m bloody massive by nature, but that affords me a certain no Fs given over the years) have a damp eye for a second or two… You did actually achieve a lump in the throat and an audible “Awwggghh!” from me when you said at 43 you’re the happiest you’ve ever been, at least work-wise. That, Sir Robert, is wonderful news. It’s nice to see good people performing at their prime, love it. I’ve never understood the grief people feel at a friend doing well - and that’s sort of how I see you; a friend I’ve never actually met… Creeepy :) You know what I mean :) I saw you first on VinWiki and since that first story, boom, great bloke, I’ll keep an eye on this fella. It’s worked out good for us all mate, and, might I add, long may it continue. There’s no amount of money that can buy that internal happiness that lets a chap sleep easy at night. It’s been a great day and this has topped it off (even though it was over a year ago). A friend who is killing herself basically because she has an odd aversion to food, emailed me that she’d put a stone on in six months, which is MASSIVE news fir this woman. If I lost a stone nobody would know a thing… To hear you, a fellow I’ve taken advice from and even a happy birthday wish by you (just a chancel comment years ago) watched and most of all, laughed with (laughed at sounded a bit wrong), well, it just tops it off. As I say, the good people, the ones with real heart rarely hair it through, you’ve broke it in two my brother, take care!

Spend as much time with your Mom as you can because when she's gone, you are miss her terribly!! If you had a lot of fun with her personally, good for you. Every guy watching feels this way, so she wasn't marriage material for you, I hope you had a lot of fun!

You learn allot about people in times like this. Your Aunt and anyone else who may disrespect your place in your Grandparents lives can do only what you let them, to your memory of that lost loved one. If your Aunt was the executor, well, you know it's her decision. But keep track of the car, find a way to buy it. If it's meant to be, it will be.
But no one, can take from you the memories you shared with your Grandma. Believe me. I have walked that road.

She was gorgeous ! and I put her thru Law School at UGA.. Turned out she was a taker not a giver. I was SO GLAD to get rid of her...

At least you didn't have kids together. I don't think the high road ran through my daughter's mother's town either. I just didn't figure that out until almost 9 years later and now we have a daughter turning 4 in February. I've been supporting both my daughter and her mother since we've been together. Out of all the dozen or so women I've been with this one hides her true colors the best. I'd be lying if I said she wasn't playing me like a pawn shop guitar. However since the family courts are crooked and I don't want her turning my daughter into another shallow hypergamous female I have a very difficult situation on my hands. Furthermore to my surprise the more you sacrifice and the better you provide for an unemployed "stay at home mom" the worst they treat you. It's unreal the type of lies that come out of thier mouth and they are very good at convincing everyone around you that you are in the wrong. Then all the other unemployed females they know are like an echo chamber of encouragement to her deceitful ways. I'll put it like this, if my daughter's future wasn't on the line I would have a lot more money and if nothing else I would have that and peace. However instead I have been enduring exactly what you had the sense to save yourself from. You listened to your gut and it saved your ass. Sorry to hear your relationship came to and end but think about for a second how much money, headache and heartache you saved yourself from. Just keep doing you brother. Things will be better. I worked for 25 years in network tv here in NY and my wife worked in theatre on the management side, we’ve literally met hundreds of people who were “famous” in one way or another. And maybe a dozen or so were real people that actually cared about people and were genuinely nice caring folks. Sadly most only cared about what you could do for them and the minute we changed jobs they disappeared like Casper. (Look it up). You’re right step back and take a good look at what’s really going on.
