Synopsis:
Thank you Inkbird for sending me this product to review. Inkbird did not pay me for this review, but they did send me the product for free to give my honest opinion of.
Overall I give this Inkbird WiFi ITC 308 a 4/5 stars. Here's why.
Pros:
Real Time Iphone/Android Alerts
Downloadable Smart App
Easy to Program
Cons:
Probe is Not Replaceable
Mounting Options Not Ideal
Inkbird has another model amzn.to/2Yf31iR which is specifically made for aquariums. It comes with an upgraded plastic probe. It also comes with a female headphone jack so you are able to replace the probe in the future.
If Inkbird were to combine the aquarium controller and the WiFi controller, I would easily give the product a 5/5!
In this video I go over how to program the unit using the mobile app as well as the device itself.

I literally just bought this. I had upgraded to T5's and it raised my temp to 82 so got this controller to manage the temp. Works great!

Hi Joel, the version I always use has a spot for a heater and a fan. So I set it to turn the heater off at a certain temp and the fan on at a certain temperature. I actually prefer the one by Bayite now. Here is the link. amzn.to/3Hm5H4K
Looks nice a decent controller for the money. Like you said if they were to improve the probe on your model it would be a win win for inkbird.

Great review! Just bought this product but doesn’t connect to my wifi. It says that i need 2.5GHz and my wifi is 5 GHz. Is there any way to connect to my wifi? Or did i missed something?

I have my set value at 78 degrees, and heat and cool diff at 1 degree. But it says heating or cooling even with just 0.1 degree diff from set value. So at 77.9 degree, it would say "heating" and at 78.1 degree, it would say "cooling". Am I missing something?
Is that 3 degree swing adjustable?

Well...4 years on, and there's still no combined heater/chiller with wifi and rubber probe, as far as I can see... 😢
I just purchased this to control a bread proofing box. I had no idea what I was looking at. Thank you for explaining how to set it up. Because the directions didn’t help.

That's a great question, and since I don't know what a hydroponis dwc is, I couldn't answer! Sorry. It will work for anything, as long as the power rating isn't too high!

paul cahill I actually don’t use these anymore because a couple of gone out on me. But not trying to badmouth the company because I know many people who have had great success. And also the company Inkbird has new aquarium specific problems which I’m guessing will last a really long time! I currently use a different controller from a different company. amzn.to/2BVXxjJ

How did you get the app to send you text alerts?
Slappy Stapley It’s actually super easy. Just download the mobile app. Make sure the notifications are on for your phone. And then in the app set the high temp and the low temp value. And then as soon as one of those is triggered you will automatically get an alert! It’s pretty cool actually

@@NCPino Oh no, I wonder why? I had to change my settings to allow the alerts. It was kind of hard to find. I'm sure your tech savvy and tried that, but if not, go to your iphone's settings, notifications, and make sure they are both turned on for your entire phone and for the app. Then, go back to settings, scroll all the way down to the bottom until you find your app, and make sure notification are also turned on there. Sorry it's not working for you, that's lame!

Oh, I haven't had that inkbird in quite a while, so I don't remember. But a lot of other hobbyists use this so just do a youtube search and you should find the answer. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Great question. I think somewhere well below 0 degrees.
How do I shut off the alarm vía the app?
Hmm., I can't remember actually. You could probably just adjust the alarm high or low and that might work. Sorry I can't be more help, I don't use the inkbirds anymore.
