  • NOTE: The ferns I describe as Platycerium bifurcatum were later identified as P. hillii. There is a lot of confusion and mislabelling between these two species, and their also seems to be some intermingling.

    Do you have any details about the pot setup you’ve got your Platycerium on? Like a how to video maybe? Which species of platy will this work for with regards to the shape of the shields?

    absolutely brilliant setup mate, personal fav is the coir wrapper frying pan lol, i noticed you said this is middle of winter in the video how are the platy's outside doing? and how is the fertile frond coming along now on your p. superbum?

      Hey Matty (~8. The staghorns in the window box survived the winter, but I don't know how they're doing now as I gave the whole trough to a neighbour and I haven't been back there yet. You mean the fertile frond on the humongous superbum, right? Well, it is doing well. But I also haven't seen it since April as it is now in Northampton.
