Thanks C Burgers. I got these particular spores from a Thai seller on eBay (sirinybuaba_0). I got fantastic germination from them. These ought to grow with the standard hemispherical shield form. I also have billions of spores of a form that appeared in my growing with an unusual shield form which I call "Star Shield" (I am presently selling the mother plant on eBay). I was selling these spores last year, and may start selling them again.

@@karstent8138 Indeed a very well assorted seller. What kind of Platycerium species would you recommend for indoor environments in The Netherlands? At the moment I have Pl. Alcicorne, Pl. bifurcatum and Pl. veitchii? I like to try to grow some from seed, think end of spring is a nice time to germinate them...

@@cajbrg Can I recommend that you join the Facebook group I set up for staghorn ferns and ask in there? It's called "Staghorn Ferns Group UK". I'll respond there, and you might just get some input from other European growers. It really helps me to keep myself focused in just one place for all this!

I grew this myself from a spore @Nicolo. The only seller of these that I know in Europe apart from me is cycadales.eu in France.

Yes, that's the way in nature. Not always so easy though in cultivation! The syringe method works really well in this case.

I haven't tried those Sandy, haven't needed to yet. They are usually attached to a bottle, I think, and take up too much space for me. You can get P. ridleyi from cycadales.eu.

There's very little difference @James. You can give it a bit more fertiliser, and it needs warmth all the time to do well, best temperature range is 20 - 30°C. That's it.

On average it's been about 50%

I'll be selling some in spring 2022.

I don't know @Yapa Creation. But there are no pests on it. I think it is an artefact of it's precise environmental conditions.

I have the spores for sale, and they grow very quickly. I will probably have plants for sale at some point, but it might take a year or so.

I sell them on eBay. My eBay name is "karstensbotanichorticultural". The plants in this video though are long gone!

I've tried that Jerry. They get clogged up too easily, especially at very low drip rates. This way is almost no bother at all.

I don't live there anymore, I sold the tree fern. How often is a bit of "how long is a piece of string?" question.... I might say that I watered it twice a week on the trunk, on average?
