My youtube Algorithm is super on point, dang. I'm an Esoteric Anglican (theologically orthodox, articles-affirming, but Origenist, Qualified Nondualist, etc) with a history of Perennialism. What are the substantial differences between the AJC and, say, the Liberal Catholic Church? Where does the liturgy come from? It seems there is an affirmation of the Nicene Trinity (noting Christ not as one of many prophets by THE one true God, perhaps the enemy of a lesser demiurge, but not the enemy of the OT YHWH), but a lot of almost valentinian gnostic language and references to Masonic orders which is quite an interesting combo.
Thanks for the comment and the Apostolic Johannite Church welcomes pleasant encounters with the rest of the One, Only, Holy etc. All current info is via our main site @ johannite.org. From there you can find a set of courses on Johannite School - particularly one that covers the history, theology and main concepts of the Apostolic Johannite Church - it’s free, video based and no requirement to do the homework but covers a good amount of ground on the questions you mention. A short answer is that we are openly Gnostic in orientation but inclusive on esoteric Christianity, esotericism more broadly. Zooming out, we continue the work of a few earlier communities and movements - being those of Fabre-Palaprat’s Eglise du Christ / Johannite Church and the Eglise Gnostique of the French Occult Revival era. To this you can add pre-Nicene Christianity more broadly including classical Gnosticism. That said, we orient from there but we do not end there - and you’ll find a wide range of views on the Trinity, Christology etc across membership. In addition to the courses and material located on our main site - this channel has a variety of talks on the nature of the church, its practice as well as its interests, and a wider variety on the spectrum of esotericism, Gnosticism, mysticism and practice from internal and external speakers as well as a handful of Q/A sessions. Welcome and enjoy.
@@minnihd6470 yeah I watch a lot of Catholic stuff and old traditional masses and liturgy so maybe TH-cam just saw “consecration” and tossed it into the top of my recommended lol
Beautiful service! 🙏🏻❤️
