I guess it just depends what that means by "beaten". I agree, as a OnePlus Open owner, that this is superior in most ways compared to the Fold 4 I was using. However Samsung (in the USA) sells to all carriers, big box stores, and has name prowess. Oneplus... Not so much. You can't buy the Open at a carrier, they aren't advertised nearly as much and don't have much presence besides the enthusiast market.
@@chrgeorgeson1- The world does not revolves around US and their carriers. 2- Best does not mean most popular. @@jacksonburger2081 Both actually! Great video and great device. I'm glad that I could at least get the global version of the Oppo Find N3 here in Thailand so it does have Android Auto like the OnePlus Open.
It would have been great if OnePlus open offered the u.k. market the same trade in deals/ offers as they do for the US market. Unfortunately oneplus open (like all foldables) have too high an asking price.

Okay, i will say that this is my opinion only, but i was in the fence between fold 5 and one plus open! Even tho the one plus open seem to be the better choice for multiple reasons ( bigger outer and inner displays and the less noticeable crease) I end up going for the fold 5. 1- is a more proven phone ( 5th gen) 2-wireless charging 3- one UI ( well optimized by now for fold) 4-pen support 5-will hold it's value if you were to trade in later 6-DEX And maybe i'm missing more, but that alone is worth more to me than having a normal cover screen and a less noticeable crease. Again i know the cover screen on the fold is supper narrow, but the fold is meant to be used open and that cover screen is just to take care of minor things ( would i like samsung to have a bigger outer display? Yes) it would be nice to have a classic form factor but having to deal with this narrow display occasionally, is not taking anything from the amazing experience with the Fold 5 . At the end what i'm trying to say is that you buy this foldables for the inner displays experience, and they both deliver, but ultimately Samsung experience is more polish by now and you get extra perks on top of it.
