I own one, and I don't think you need to know most of these. Good to know: Slow to mature. You'll have a puppy in your house for at least ten years. They need lots of exercise, more than you think. They are very intelligent but not necessarily obedient. They're always gentle with children and women. They're not shy with strangers because they're always looking to play. Their hunting drive is very strong. You need to brush them almost every day.
I owned one years ago. He was a mammas boy. He was great, loved children, and hated water. He also thought cats were great friends. Hunting just wasn't a thought in his head.
