Holy Land Franciscans

800 years of Franciscan presence in the Holy Land (1217-2017). Today up to 300 Franciscan friars realize God's vocation to keep the holy places, serve the local Christians, guide the pilgrims and pray for peace in the land made holy by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To really love Jesus means to love the country which He chose to be His homeland. "Come and see," He replied. So they went and saw where He was staying, and spent that day with Him (John 1:39).
