- Will the base be finished in time, and will what's there hold up to demos and cops?
Join me as I battle the zombies of 7 Days to Die in Alpha 21, with a custom mod that prevents horde night from ending until all the required zombies have been dispatched - and stay tuned for the finale, where I take on an infinite horde!

7 Days to Die is a survival horror video game set in a post-apocalyptic world where players must scavenge for resources, build shelters, and defend themselves against hordes of zombies. The game takes place in a randomly generated world and features a day-night cycle, with the zombies becoming more aggressive and difficult to deal with at night.
Players must also manage their hunger and thirst levels, as well as avoid other environmental hazards such as extreme temperatures and wildlife. The game can be played alone or with others in multiplayer mode. It was developed by The Fun Pimps and released in 2013 for Microsoft Windows and later for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Linux.

First time watching, been playing 7 days for a long time and I'm not gonna lie, I really thought the pathing would be a problem. Impressive!!!
Thanks and hi! I do like this base when you need to get through lots of zombies without using much ammo!
Looking forward to an updated version of this base without glock9s 3x3 restrictions, and your idea on dealing with cop spit.
Thanks Hyxth! Shouldn't be too far away now :)
Great horde base CP, very impressed.
Thanks! It's working well so far 😀
Nice I'll probably do this next time I do a perception run. Mostly I lean into a spears sniper base but this looks fun.
Especially with 1.0 bring in more zombie limb destruction :D
You should use scaffolding bars to block cop puke, you can shoot through them aswell
I use them to block the cop spit that might hit the spotlight. I tried them once where you fight from and didn't like it, it gets in the way a bit much and doesn't stop them spitting at you. I have an upgrade planned though... 🤔😜
Been a while since I seen a good pit base, good to know they still work. I like to use them when I want to play but I'm too tired to keep up a max pace.😂
They certainly are more relaxing, as long as you can trust the design 😀
nice episode with my morning coffee.
Personally I'm trying to stay away from city area to have as much FPS saved as possible for horde night or at least so I'm positioned so I look away from the city or any POI. press F8 it will show your fps. it can make 15+ fps difference on horde nights.
Mmmmmm coffeeeeee :) I know what you mean about FPS savings - hopefully with the new window optimisations for 1.0 this will be better!
Great episode!
Thanks! :)
I copied your horde base over the weekend and it worked perfectly. Lots of fun. 👍
That's awesome! Glad it's working well and is fun to use!
Thanks for trying these different designs 👍
My pleasure - thanks for your support!
OK, that base is pretty great. I've been wanting to have a part of my base where I can use explosives and I think something like this might just work for me. I will have to give it a try. Great episode, loads of fun to watch.
Thanks - it takes a little to get that pathing right at the top, but once that's in place it's good to go!
Very cool!
Thanks 👍
I sugest you to build a way out for then to climb on, just a very hard on, for then to try, instead of only breaking the walls of the pit.
That's an interesting idea - I think the 3x3 internal size might be too small for it, but on a larger build it might do well... something to try!
@@CautiousPancake My base got a 8x6 pit with a way out, not meant for explosives, just to contain damage, but after your vídeo gonna spend some points on explosives and try to do something about it
@@josesaldanha2683 Nice one - keeping them grouped and is what helps with the explosives, so if you're way out can include a zombie dropper that puts them back into the pit again, that's what I'd do!
I will try to guide then and put some eletric reinforced door with eletric fence, só I can turn on/off. Maybe play a little with door bridges. I don't know. I do like complicated bases.
If there is no probable cause, these search are illegal in the first place.
I think any building filled with zombies allows for a legal search
Have you ever tried Age of Oblivion since the newest version? The server i play on, i have the highest gamestage which is 500, HN is a mess but fun, i mainly use turrets.
I haven't - I'll have to put it on my list!
great video! pipe bombs are more eficient than molotovs? i think molotovs dont do block damage and dont trigger demo explosions , dont know exactly if use molotovs instead pipe bombs is a good trade. less repair on base, i think. the cost of molotovs are a little concerning too. what do you think?
Good question! - I think (but am often wrong :D) that pipe bombs (PB) win out of molotovs (M) for a few reasons:
* Similar damage (253 for PB 250 for M) but pipe bomb is all at once - so more likely to kill rads
* M will usually cause cops to explode as the damage brings them down to explosion range (33% I think it was)
* PB can be stacked for increased damage, but M can't - singe debuff only
* Cost - PB only use 12 gunpowder (so 12 coal and 12 nitrate) and a short iron pipe (1 forged steel) vs a M needs 300 gas (150 oil shale) plus and oil (24 oil shale) plus 5 cloth - which feels more expensive to me.
* If I hit the edge of the pit with a PB it'll usually fall in still, rather than instantly set me on fire like a M 🤣
Molotov advantages:
* Fire spread means some zombies not hit initially will still catch fire
* No damage to blocks (pipe bombs do 5 damage to blocks - so for a horde night with 100 pipe bombs, it'll do 500 damage to the blocks)
Early game - I'd still use M for sure if I was doing this base - since before rads come out they would be worth using for sure. Once you get to rads though - I'd go PBs exclusively.
@@CautiousPancake thank you, it was very informative!
