I have to admit that Royal enfields, although fraction of the price of the Harley are much better than Harleys in General. The one thing which every Harley lacks is Ground Clearance! I mean, you expect them to be 'tourers' and give them poor ground clearance . No Indian can take a Harley to the Mecca for motorcyclists (Himalayas)

Sanjeet Gaonkar I have seriously considered getting a Harley and I dropped that idea because there are lot of issues. Royal Enfield is the English counterpart of Harley Davidson. Enfield apart from Indian, Norton and triumphs are comparables. Indian roads, unlike American roads are not flat with no undulations. I have seen Harleys bottoming out in Normal roads, forget Himalayas. The Himalayas are the Mecca to motorcyclists. If a cruiser can't make it to that place, it isn't worthy of being called as a cruiser. IMO, the only Harley that can make it to Himalayas and back is the Street 750. Harleys suck at Traffic (they become portable ovens) , have poor ground clearance and are unreasonably expensive.
No where it's written that every bike enthusiast should take his bike to your "so called mecca" ladakh . I've seen videos of people going there and facing so many troubles......and for your statement which really pierces deep into my heart " if it does not make till Himalayas...it's not a cruiser" xD bruhh read a book cruisers are meant to drive on highways not in cities and ur mountains!!

Even a commuter bike can do things that a Harley can't do. The fundamental reason why Harleys are built the way they are is because they are American and in America , you don't need versatility. The mountain twistes are as good as highways. Most of the cities are not crowded (or you don't find Harleys in crowded cities). That's fundamentally the reason why American Cruisers are impractical for Indian conditions. But if you see the Triumphs (barring the Rocket III) , Nortons and Enfields, they produce versatile cruisers. That's the precise reason why British Motorcycles make more sense in India. I don't mean to hate Harley. But there are many improvements they need to incorporate to make the bike more practical. Like a bigger fuel tank, ABS , better heat dispersion and of course a better ground clearance.
2016 Bonneville looks so gorgeous and now with even more power liquid cooling etc. But the reason Harley's r expensive is because they r made in USA while triumph is made in Thailand.
Not mention that India has a 50% tariff on the importation of Harley motorcycles. In fact it was not until Trump became President that they lowered it from 100% to 50%. just saying
before harley entering india, i supposed to think they produce rock solid bikes for the price & which ever bike it may be, it will be fun to ride in every way & truly would be value for money package.. but till date, whatever models are been launched here are a piece of shit.. look at that engine vibrations... what the hell was that? is it a tractor or what? almost all bikes will die as soon as it land in practical roads in india with potholes & speed breakers... they have not study the road conditions much before launching.. i mean no one would really like to ruin their bike with speed breakers..
What no one mentions is the ground clearance of these bikes. Even small speed bumps are difficult to cross without hitting the bottom of the bike.

ABS is very important on Indian roads.
so you are dealing a chrome harley with motoGP costume...have some respect for the custom mades...
but a classic leather jacket and jeans completes this cruiser

The Bonneville T120 is a much better bike and value for money compared to this and most bikes in this price range
