Yes. Typically, it can take 3-5 days for it to appear on Apple Music for artists.
i am using tunecore to distribute music and i already claimed my apple and spotify profile but when i put my correct apple profile link to upload music, its showing 'bad id' what to do ? i can't select my apple profile

So if youre a producer and youre releasing an instrumental album, basically, we have to release the instrumental album first? in order to claim our artist page?

Hi, I was featured on a song and it was deleted, I released a song 3 days ago and I’m still finding it hard to claim my profile which I can see after pasting the url. It keeps saying “the artist you’re looking for may only be a featured artist on all available songs”

Well that’s why lol. It’s always recommended that you set your release date for AT LEAST 3-4 weeks in advance otherwise dsps will take long to receive your music.
What if they lumped your song in with the wrong artists profile would that be an issue for the distributor to fix??
Yes. Definitely contact them at Apple Music and also, just an FYI I would consider spelling your artist name more unique or changing an aspect of it so that you stand out from the other artist that they lumped you in with so that this never happens again. Plus, it makes it easier for ppl to find you, etc.

I’m having an issue where when I paste the link and search for the profile it says “having trouble searching for artists right now try again later” any idea if this is just a temporary thing? Or do I try and contact someone for support? I Just have no idea how deep of an issue this is lol and it’s very frustrating.

@@JaceyFlames yes first song released today! So idk if I should give it a couple days for it to fully process or if my account is bugged. I copy the artist url link and paste it and it just says “unable to search artists, please try again later” but then I search any other artist and it pulls up all different profiles.

Don’t know if you’re still responding but everytime I try to claim my profile it doesn’t give me the song that’s actually mine because it thinks I’m someone else with the same artist name
Unfortunately Apple Music may have done that from their IT on the backend because your name is similar to another artists, so contact them in their support at this link so they can give you the actual link of your profile: artists.apple.com/support/
I opened the Apple Music for Artist app, and I am directed to update the app and after I do that, it still shows the same thing. What do I do?

@@JaceyFlames they both went live on apple like I can listen to them and share them, an acount comes up with the name "yungginE223" which is my name, and the only songs that are on the profile are mine, but when I go to claim the profile, it doesn't show or sends the error I mentioned before

You have to be the main artist in order for you to have a profile created by a distributor and claim it.

Unfortunately, no. You have to be the primary artist for you to claim it from a distributor.

Unfortunately, no. Unless the artist used Tunecore and paid for the “featured main artist” option.

It depends on when you set your release date for. It is recommended to set your release date at least 4 weeks ahead of time.

No, it means that people will be able to see your social media profiles so they can follow or add you as a friend.

How do you do this with an android phone? You cant get the app for android... and when i try to login with my new apple ID with a browser it tells me that i have to update my phone to IOS 12... but I don't have an iphone. it's ridiculous.

Once you release music through TuneCore, they should create the profile for you on Apple Music IF you have never released any music before through any other distributor. Otherwise, you should be able to connect it during the “upload a song” process.

@@ShadeX3 The way it works is that IF you are a new artist and this is your 1st time releasing music through a distributor, then you’ll have to set a song to release first through your distributor. Once you do that, then after the song comes out, Apple Music and Spotify will both create your profiles for you. Then you go and claim them. This TH-cam video is for those who have a profile already and released music already.

It typically takes 3-5 business days and sometimes up to 2 weeks to finish the claiming of your profile. If it takes longer than that, contact their support at this link: artists.apple.com/support/

@@ItsJustMilo I always recommend waiting at least 3-5 business days for your song to fully show up on Apple Music and then you can claim it.
What if I don’t have music live yet? But trying to claim account via username?
You have to sign up to a distributor first and set your music for release on there first. Once your music is then released, then you can claim it through whichever username you want.

What if your trying to upload your first song?
If you are trying to upload your first song through your distributor, after the song is released then your profile will be created by your distributor and then you can claim it.

Yes, you can. You pick the name you want to be shown from your distribution platform (if you want it to be different).

@@JaceyFlames ya something got messed up with the original upload so I reuploaded it. They responded but it wasn’t helpful, they just told me how to get the artists app and paste the Apple Music link. They told me I’d it doesn’t help reply with a video of the problem which I just did. I should also note I did a name Change so I changed my name in distro but I heard it’d take like 8 months on apple so I just made a new distro and upload undwr a different account
@@cap4303 Yeah, a lot of those changes effect your song and you being able to see it on stores. The stores take a while to receive changes and when there are multiple changes, it may negatively impact your music on other platforms.
