Omg! ♥️Claude♥️ You may be too young to remember this but his pose really reminded me of the centerfold of Burt Reynolds in ..Cosmo...I think. Burt had his hand over his outdoor plumbing as well and I think Claude has less hair, lol! I havent thought of that picture for years but immediately thought of it when I saw Claude. Well, after I stopped laughing at how cute he looks
I am NOT too young to remember that! Pretty sure my sister somehow managed to get that magazine. She had an uncanny ability to come by all things "illicit" in our house 😂
I made similar long pants recently using Tina Givens Quattro pants and adjusting the bottom piece of the Elope pant to be wider and bring in the bottom of the leg. I added length and a curve to the bottom of the Quattro to match them together. I like the result.
Great to see you and Claude back!! Fabulous inspiration as always. Scratching my head as to names of patterns for some of the looks which is frustrating as I know some of the styles are out there- just don’t remember names and numbers!! There is a Big4 pattern for the high neck knit with the split on the front for sure. Just made 2 Mile End sweaters from Closet Core with the gathered tie at the front, one in modal jersey and the other in sweatshirt fabric and love them. Have also adapted the Paper Theory pattern to add drawstrings at the waist which works well. Happy Sewing. Lynne😊
Loved all the fashions but not sure how they would love the figure. Claude looked nice & relaxed. I have a Pitbull who looks a lot like your Claude. She is a lady who sleeps in some unladylike like positions herself. Her name is Molly.
Congrats on almost being at 5000 subscribers! Your channel is one of my favorites. Seamwork has two patterns that may work for the cropped drawstring top - the Riley top is sleeveless but has the same feature at the waist and the Rooney sweater is a boxier top with a drawstring at the waist.
Those first black pants are to die for. Loved all of these. I am making Style Arc Porter woven top out of a lovely linen. It’s boxy and cropped. I found some great antique buttons I’m using with it.
Always love the inspiration videos! Also always love, love pictures of Claude, and this one is priceless! ❤ That yellow crop top that’s really wide with the tight lower sleeves is super cute, but as soon as it gets cold here I’m layering but always have a handknit wool sweater of some kind on top, so not seeing how to work something like that. Actually, you are the expert on layering, so might throw this question out, if you have any ideas, or think it might be interesting to anyone else. I lived in tee-shirts (and light cardigan sometimes) for summer, long sleeved with wool knits in winter, until I started sewing again a few years ago. Even the boxy tops that fit well when worn alone are always bunching up when I try to wear something over them. It happens with a few bought tops that I’ve upcycled as well. I really want to make long-sleeved versions of some of these woven tops for winter but have no idea if there’s anything that would help them be wearable under sweaters! Any suggestions?
I think with the boxy tops you really have to use them as an over layer. Under something else I think they will always bunch up. They are super cute over a sleeveless tunic though and that way I can wear my sleeveless tunics and slips all year!
@@thebigsewalong Thank you! I was kind of afraid that might be the case - and you are clearly made of much stronger stuff than I. The only sleeveless thing I’ll be wearing all winter is a thermal vest, which will go under at least two layers of long sleeved tops, one handknit (and therefore warmer) wool. Oh well, I can admire your style during the colder months, and wear the boxy tops in summer! 😎
I'm really into vests and short sleeved jackets this year. I hacked the aurabelle sleeveless cowlneck top and made it into a cropped vest. I used thick fleecy sweatshirt fabric for our Autumn/Winter in Australia and it was lovely and cozy.

I was just too young to be *allowed* to read Cosmo, but - what a perfect comparison! 😂
@@hallie7220Google it. It's a classic photo. I remember my mom tittering over it at the time 😅
lol, I remember that centerfold. I took it to high school! 😂
😂

For denim see also Just My Luck Jeans. They are fabulous.
wow those are really perfect! Thanks!
So hot in SC, don’t layer until November 😅through February
😂😂😂
Glad you gave yourself a break!! The color blocked tops are really interesting & inspiring
thanks Beth!
Great inspiration ! Love that scrappy top! Thanks Gini, always fun to see what's going on in your sewing room!

that's a really good hack!
Sew liberated Arthur is a good one too, with more volume than the chantetelles
totally right about that, not sure why I forgot about the Arthur but I think it's closer to the inspiration than the chanterelle, Thanks!

Yellow top is cool too!

That sweatshirt with the channnel and ties is like a Cliset Core pattern. Fun video ❤
It is the Mile End sweater which I love.. Lynne
Lynn mentioned that in an earlier comment and I"d never looked at that pattern before. It's super cute and a really good match for that inspo pic

Oh my gosh the cropped sweatshirt would make a great upcycle style I am sew going to try this. You have inspired me!
YES! That would be a great upcycle!!

The Ewai Walla collection is amazing...
It's sooooo good!

I've been looking at that pattern, it's really cute and looks like a lot of options.
Thank you, Gini! ❤l have a sweater knit that I want to use this winter/ fall. Love those layers!
thanks Robyn!
That second garment would be a great way to alter something thrifted.
I thought the same thing when I saw it😊
perfect for a re-make/upcycle!
Always love the inspiration videos! Also always love, love pictures of Claude, and this one is priceless! ❤

I adore the last 2 looks, have lots of knit scraps. Will have to try the one on the left in particular
I love that one and such a cool way to use up some scraps!
Enjoyed this very much...yes, these ideas are definitely relevant to us down under x

So fun!! Clove vest by Charlotte Emma patterns.
YESSS! that's so perfect. Thanks, I'd never heard of Charlotte Emma patterns before
