This video was awesome. I am 60 and have recently developed a sneaker addiction and was wondering if I am too old to want to wear sneakers all the time when I am not at work. You gave me the confidence to continue wearing all the sneakers!
Hi, in my opinion, I believe you are never too old to wear something that makes you happy. I'm also in my 60s, and I enjoy wearing sneakers, too. Go for it, and enjoy your life. Blessings!❤
A friend asked me to go in her closet and put together outfits for her. Then she did the same for me. It was fun and interesting to see what we'd come up with and it really changed our perspectives.

Wow. What a great video. So much info to deal with wardrobe boredom. And you are frugal .. . Not pushing us to spend money on clothes when there is no need.
I recently lost a fair amount of weight and have had to replace most of my wardrobe. Savers and goodwill have been lifesavers, and I’ve been very lucky to find some real gems there. I’ve purchased good brands, natural fibers, and often brand new items. I thought I would thrift while my size keeps changing, but now I’m sure I’ll keep it up after I reach my goal weight. Great video.
Big thank you. You opened my eyes to so many possibilities. I’m 80 and needing to refined myself in my love of clothes. I’m a kindred spirit to your natural look- comfy, sporty, casual but not sloppy! Loved this video- my first one. I’ll be following in the future. Excited to find you. Ruth K PS. Eugene, Oregon and boys jeans still fit my narrow hips, and I’m still very active.
Wow, your video popped up on my TH-cam feed and I gave you a 👍 after just 5 minutes in. I'm retired and 62 and feel like you may be the stylist and wardrobe guru I've been looking for. I'm so tired of influencers who tell you to shop your closet meanwhile providing you links to belts that cost $110 and boots that cost $150. I'm also a bargain shopper and thrifter and like getting items in my closet for a good price. The problem is because I get it for a good price I tend to overpurchase. I plan to be watching more of your videos to figure out how to streamline my closet better. Unfortunately I do get reeled in by other influencers online showing their hauls which keads to impulse shopping. Cant wait to watch more.
Hi Deb from Canada. Your video is a game changer. I love the fact that you thrift items and add a few new pieces to update your wardrobe. My style is pretty similar to yours. Always loved J. Crew. I also have a ruby red pair of Mary Janes, but had to buy new as I was unable to find any second hand ones. They were reasonably priced from Vivaia and I love the forgiving fabric, and the square toe is my favourite thing about them. So very comfortable. Went to a party wearing a black midi dress with the red Mary Janes and received +++ comments. Someone even noticed them under the washroom door and commented how much she loved them. Cable knit sweater, long sleeve t's, so versatile. Never thought about the white skirt, have a black one, but love that white skirt!!!
You did a fantastic job with your additions! So exciting and it got me excited too! An outfit idea - pair the green cargos and the cream sweater with your scarf with flowers. So cute! I recently bought a pair of very similar green cargos (Universal Thread) from a consignment shop in my city! Had to tweak the length and stitch down the pocket flaps in the back. I love tweaking my finds to suit me.
Wonderful video!!! It is so much like having a friend help you out - thank you! I just spent a very happy couple of hours and $60 at Goodwill for a dozen pieces of really nice clothing - I have no doubt there may be one or two of them that won't work out, but that happens when you buy at much higher prices, too. One of the items is a full-length light gray J. Crew cardigan of cotton and merino wool with a fold-back lapel - I bought the shorter J. Crew knit cardigan at Goodwill earlier this year in camel and am wearing it so, so much. Also got a great light gray dressier cotton and silk turtleneck that happens to match the cardigan, feels great on the skin and will go with so much. If I had only spent $60 on those 2 useful pieces alone I would have been ahead. There is so much clothing available to thrift. However, I was surprised that many of the items on the racks there were in just terrible condition - huge rips, stains that would not come out, moth-eaten, and I am not sure how that works - are they too busy to really triage everything or hoping crafters will purchase damaged items and upcycle them, which does happen with jeans already? It does slow down going through the racks when a lot of it is so damaged it doesn't seem that anyone would really want it but I'm curious if you have seen this where you shop.
I have seen this too. Plus, so much nowadays is cheap fabrics poorly made, like polyester and acrylic. I still thrift, hoping for the odd real merino wool or cashmere or 100% cotton denim, but they are fewer than in the past.
I grab what I like and park my cart and inspect each item. I still miss blemishes once in awhile, but I scan everything. You can't count on them to not sell damaged goods. They'll sell chipped plates, etc., it's kind of shocking.
@@courtneysands6646 I inspect everything very carefully, too - just surprised at how much of the clothing borders on rags some days. I know some folks buy clothing to upcycle it, and chipped china can be broken up for mosaics and other decorative purposes - I guess they put it out and see what happens! Some of it might work for a scarecrow 😄!
I’m in my mid 70s and love fashion I’m very tall and it’s hard to replicate what I see. I’m a huge thrifter and resale on line. I find myself thrifting for others but i’m excited to hunt for myself after watching your video.
Great video! As an avid thrifter, I am excited to have found a creator who is a stylist and loves to thrift for pieces to add to her wardrobe. New sub.
This was a great video. I’ve always purchased thrifted pieces. It’s so important to play in your closet. I did this the other day for the winter season and it was so fun! Pinterest is a great inspiration.
Hi Kristen! I love the outfit you are wearing for this video. I love wearing sweatpants or joggers or whatever people call them these days but I struggle to make style time without making me feel like I look frumpy. I think the way you are wearing them looks very stylish.
This is my first time of discovering your channel. I have been decluttering for some time now and trying to commit to wearing most everything I own even if I do not leave the house, in order to find out what I REALLY like and don't. I am 68, try to dress modern, and I try to not become influenced by the newest and latest trends as they come and go. I am only 5'1" so it has been a blessing to know how to sew and alternate pieces that don't fit right. Love the idea of modernizing the lapel. I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest. I am the closest body type to Reese Witherspoon and love a lot of her ideas.
I just found your channel…you are Definately speaking to me…I love to look great but for less…I love to thrift and have found some of my favorite pieces in thrift stores, just yesterday found awesome boots and 1 pair I goggled and saw they were over $300 and I paid under $10…love vintage styles and my favorite jeans are Levi’s…so glad I found your channel…you have a new subscriber
I like your style! Love the combo of thrift and new. I found the best pair of Levi men’s 501 vintage button fly for $2! Thrifting is such a treasure hunt. I also dropped the hem…!
Oh how I love videos when women play with their closet and explain their experience! Bought myself cream jeans and so happy about them because they work in the outfit just like white ones but they don’t look dirty as quick.
You are a gem , love your ideas especially that you can thrift as well as purchase clothing you need. I’m always trying to repurpose outfits . The problem is I’m a little over 5 ‘ & at least10-12 lbs over weight. Love that you always stay the same size.
I’m a new viewer. I really like your style which is a lot like my own. I feel inspired to do some thrifting, something I haven’t done in a long time. Excited to watch your channel.
My first visit to your channel and I really enjoyed this video. Your tips will help me so much. It's funny but my fiance and I were shopping recently and he wanted me to look at a pair of Dolce Vita sneakers that he saw because he thought they were "so me". They're a color-blocked design of tan, white and black. I love them and bought them and was so surprised just how many of my outfits they look great with, especially my Cheetah patterned items. I'm glad he has a good eye for my style.
Nice video! It’s a shame about the sweater with the hole and you know what I like it enough that I might try to have it repaired. The shape is amazing on that little sweater.
I’m so relieved to hear others also wait on making purchases 😅 I love to wait for sales but yes I agree you might miss out on your size. I recently looked through my closet and found some great pieces I will be using this fall/winter season I had forgotten I had. Shop your closet ladies!
I love clothing swap to find something interesting but I realized recently that I just need to spend more time before my closet trying my clothes and making outfits 😊 I ❤ your video and thoughts
You are brilliant at this! Thank you! I love everything you presented here, and also the way you organize your closet. What an inspiration. I am off to reorganize my closet 💃💃💃 You have made it feel like fun! ❤
I like the knit jacket and using cardigans in vibrant colors to add interest to your core pieces. Peronally I’m on an “anything BUT black” quest. I’m bored with black! The colors you suggest are lovely ❤ ❤❤ inspiring, will try that, great tips, thanks 😊
Great video I was so excited to now get my closet organized and plan on following your outfit ideas, even though I am older and not small like you , best advice and not costly Thank You
Great video. I understand what you are saying. My first choice is buying thrift and sometimes that is not available. I am slowly replacing all my clothes that are made from manmade materials to all natural materials (and less items in general) and while you can find some things, items like a nice organic cotton long sleeve tee are a challenge. They are typically pretty worn looking if can find but I did find one a few months ago :). You found some great items.
Just stumbled across your channel and I’m so glad I did. You are totally speaking my styling language. I’ve subscribed and will be perusing through your other posts. Thanks so much for your content❤
Variations of brown is this winters’ colour, not that I’m much into trends myself. I love the long skirt look too but tend to keep to pants for practicality. Is very much like my looks in outfits. Love your hair. I’m a scarf lover. The brown scarf goes well w ur blue skirt. Be careful just hanging silk scarf in closet, flying insects may end up chewing up on it.
I love the try-ons videos, we really get a good visual of what looks good. Glad to see the wide leg cargo pants. I like those too, and they look great on you. I haven't bought those but have picked up a few pairs of the wide leg jeans and love them, one was from Old Navy and yes very soft and comfortable! Since I'm 57 I was nervous about those, but also wanting to stay current...glad I decided to give it a go...love them!
I love, love, love your style. This video was fabulous. Do you ever add links to the new things you buy? I would love to know what the style name is of the white skirt from Free People and the Old Navy skirt and cargo jeans. I am a new fan.
Welcome! And thank you for being here. I don't usually share new pieces so I don't provide many links. The three pieces you mentioned are pretty easily found on their sites. The ON skirt seems to be about sold out, unfortunately. Hoping they will bring it back. The cargo jeans are ON also, but I thrifted them so I'm not sure they're still available. I am considering a ShopMy page in the new year. Truly, I'm a style coach first so the 'influencing' part of my work isn't my focus. 💕
After watching this video, I ordered a JCrew cashmere sweater and knit blazer. Got the sweeter yesterday and I can think of 10 ways to wear it with what I have! I know the blazer will be the same. Thanks
I joined Pinterest 3 years ago and just can't figure out how to make it work as in spite of creating new lists, everything ends up in the household category. I was hoping you had added some burgundy to your wardrobe. I find it is a color that has added some gravitas to my top selections and is appropriate for funerals and other formal occasions. I have a 5 year old Amazon essentials v-neck fine gauge pullover that has become a fall and winter workhorse either with a blazer or without. And tonight I pulled the trigger on a pair of Rag and Bone slim retro sneakers in green after seeing your red Adidas so guess we are both going to have stylin' feet! Thank you so much for this!
I love it! Enjoy your new sneakers! They sound amazing. Regarding burgundy... I'm not sure why, but I don't love burgundy on me right now. It's not a color that makes me happy to wear. Maybe in the future.
Thanks for sharing your wardrobe and ideas. When I’m bored (not necessarily with my clothes) I peruse the websites of two of my favorite retailers. Unfortunately I often get hooked on something new and out the wallet comes 🥹. My issue is I know my colors but I haven’t mastered shapes that pair together well yet.
It can be so tempting to buy new things when you're feeling bored, I totally get that! For shapes that pair well, I suggest going into a store and trying on lots of combinations! No need to buy anything. Consider it a research project. Take photos in the mirror of the complete outfits you create and then reflect after the experience on which shape combos you like the best.
Good question! I actually don't care so much if it's current. I pay more attention to if I love it! That said, if you're struggling to know if something on Pinterest is current, you can search for looks and add 2024 or 2023 to the end of the key words. That will usually produce more recent pins.
Thank you for this! The seasons are changing and will be getting cold here in the north and I was thinking I didn't have anything to wear, but I decided to do the hard work and try on things together from my winter clothing and I was pleasantly surprised that I really did have good things to wear. Choosing to put a vest over a jean jacket, a scarf with a blouse, a cable knit sweater with my slouchy pants and a leather jacket. Oh! And I found a brown and a black leather woven belt (in a drawer hidden) that was just what I needed to add some edge. I think the "boredom" factor was what was happening with me. I'm planning to try to make a "new" outfit every day and play with what I have. THANK YOU again. Do you ever share your Pinterest board?
I don't often link items because I rarely purchase new pieces. And I'm truly a style coach not an influencer. I don't ever want you to feel like you need to shop more to have great style. If you're ever looking for a specific brand or item that I show, I'll be happy to share a link when possible.
It's old and thrifted. I'm away for the weekend so I can't check the label. Look for a classic v-neck cashmere sweater a couple of sizes up from what you'd normal purchase. That's why this one has such a great slouch. ;-)
You must pair your beautiful Chanel scarf with your green cargo pants. You could wear your cream converse and cream top or fisherman sweater. (I’m a stylist…) 💃🏼
I discover lots of potential pairings by accident when I toss some items on the bed. When I’m exploring in my closet I run items all around to see what might look good together. 👍💃🏼
How did you do your pintrest search to find the looks that suited your personal style? Were there key words or descriptions you used like simple, casual or relaxed? Thank you so much...love that you are not an influencer. Susan
Hi Susan. The beauty of Pinterest is that a simple search and a few saved images will cause the algorithm to start finding similar looks for you. I suggest that you search key words that feel like your vibe. The ones you mentioned are a great start. Adding 'street style' or the season can help to narrow down the search. Good luck!
I appreciate hearing you like acrylic, poly, etc. influencers who don’t really know but parrot what they hear about natural fabrics only give people an oversimplified and incorrect impression about this subject. There are so many gradations and qualities of other fabrics but you have to feel and recognize it, and they don’t, so they parrot what they hear. Thank you for this
I LOVED this vlog. It looks like we have the same style. I’m 67 and grayish now. People always tell me I have a younger vibe so I’m reworking stuff and what are your thoughts on older women wearing this style? My bff always told me to “look my age” and now I’m kind of triggered about my outfits (my friend passed away) .. my other friends always liked my look but I keep hearing her don’t wear this or that…
You're never too old to wear what makes you feel amazing! Great style is available at any age! I'm sorry to hear about your friend. And likely they were her limiting beliefs about style... they don't have to be yours. 💕
I like your wardrobe that you've shown us. I wore nothing but Adidas while growing up. I like the look of Converse but I wear an 8 and my foot looks like a boat. But Keith Morrison on Dateline wears nothing but Converse and they always look good but he's much taller than I am. 😆 I have never gotten on the cargo pants train. I wore cargo pants in a uniform I had to wear to work once and hated them. So I choose not to wear them probably because of having to for so many years. The same goes with khaki pants.
I would like to know where did you buy the half slip in silk please. I have a long time looking for one. All I see is in polyester and nylon, that I despise. Thank you in advance.
What??? Utah??? I've lived in Provo while working in Park City for the past 12 years...and moved to Park City this fall because I was tired of fhe commute. The Frontrunner/bus was eating up WAY too much of my day (6 hours total) and I don't drive well after dark through the canyons with large critters on the roads...while blinded by the headlights of oncoming traffic. I'm soooo pleased with the reclaimed time!!!
I just noticed that it's almost sold out. Hoping they will bring it back. oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=520136002&rrec=true&mlink=5050%2C12413545%2Conproduct1_rr_3&clink=12413545&vid=2#pdp-page-content
This was a perfect video for me today. I’ve been thinking about sneakers to add interest so this was appropriate. It’s funny, I always thought of you as a skirt girl. Those skirts look great on you. Because I live on a small farm and run our construction business from home, And have two very large rambunctious dogs, white is not great for me to wear on the bottom. I envy you that. Your style and color palette is similar to mine, so I will watch the video again for more tips. And I LOVE the YSL scarf I use Pinterest and will go back today to see if there is a trend and IF I need to purchase. I have recently added two pairs of boot cut pants that are slouchy for me and have really changed the vibe. Would love to see, how are you dress up your outfits for the holidays?
I just found you and immediately subscribed halfway into your video. I’m 70 and like you, am always looking for inspiration. Unlike you, though, I’m only 5ft tall so I’m always aware of proportions. I love your Old Navy thrifted cargo jeans…will have to keep a lookout. I did recently buy wide leg pants from Old Navy and on your advice will be looking at Pinterest for inspiration. I do have one request…would you do a try on session focusing on layering? I think many of us would appreciate that. Thank you in advance from your friends in the north. 🇨🇦
I'm a reseller of clothes, shoes, etc., I have an amazing wardrobe as a result. I love a bargain and not wearing what other people do. You can try different things without a big investment.
I grew up with the same rule. I no longer follow it! I actually prefer cream/white jeans in the winter instead of the spring and summer. I like the unexpectedness of winter white. I wear white sneakers all winter and white tee shirts. I think the Labor Day rule is outdated. ☺️
Great question! Is there something you've seen in a store, on a person in public or on social media, in a TV show that you wished you had in your closet? Is there something you've been wanting to add but are unsure how to wear? You can use Pinterest to search for new outfit ideas... and Pinterest will then begin to show you additional ideas based on what you search. So, you if you've been wanting to try cashmere cardigans, you could search 'Fall outfits with cashmere cardigans... and maybe add your decade or denim - to gather looks for your age / if you plan to wear the new looks with jeans. See what comes up. Save what you like to a Pinterest board. Pinning is free so add lots of images. Anything that catches your eye. You can also search 'Your Favorite City and Street Style' - mine would be Paris Street Style Fall 2024 or Oslo Street Style 2024. This search will give you current, real-women looks to get you started. Hope that helps!
I went to JCrew in search of the Boyfriend t-shirts you mentioned, but couldn't find them. They did have Vintage t-shirts. Is it possible they're the same tee, just renamed?
No, the Vintage tee is different. I get my Girlfriend tee at the outlet. Here's a link... factory.jcrew.com/m/womens/categories/clothing/knits-and-tees/crewneck/MF143?display=all&fit=Classic&colorProductCode=AS893&colorCode=WT0002
Hello, i'm a new subscriber.I loved this video, because we have the same style and i like that you add colour in your neutral outfits. I'm trying to do the same!
After watching so many videos on wardrobe styling I find myself wanting a rolling rack although I don’t know how I’d use it. Anyone have ideas for the average Jane out here who loves playing with clothes & outfits?
My friend uses one like this...when she wears an outfit she loves all day, it goes onto the rack at end of day. If it wasn't giving that vibe it goes into the closet, if she didn't feel good in the clothes, they go in a donation bag.
@ Thank you for that great idea! Oh boy! I feel another project coming on bc of course I’ll have to rearrange or get rid of something to make room for it. 😉😀
That's exactly how I'd suggest you use it... to play with clothes and create outfits. You could pull together a capsule to wear for a week, two weeks, or a month and then display the outfits together on the rack.
@@KristenCainStyle Funny how one thing leads to another… I don’t yet have a rolling rack but I have a portable clothes drying rack I’d never used. I set it up and draped a bevy of thick warm wraps, shawls and scarves over it-kind of like it was a quilt rack. Not sure I like it but it was fun experimenting! I bought most of them on my recent trip to FOCO where I had a blast & hit the mother lode of resale shopping! Can’t wait for cold weather starting in 40s-50s! Scarves, gloves, warm knit hats, tights with sweater dresses😀
@@KristenCainStyle Are there any rolling rack designs you know of that work better for creating outfits as part of a capsule wardrobe? This is gonna be fun!
Great video. I don't know if you're familiar with Dressing your truth which is based in Utah but you are definitely a Type 3 in that system - the brown jacket is perfection!

Kristen I soooo think you should put the CHANEL Scarf with the green Gap Cargo pants and white long sleeve T you were wearing!!
I’m sure she will get around to putting the Chanel scarf together with the green Gap cargo pants!! It looks like she mixes it all up from day to day!!
I love that you and so many others mentioned about pairing the CHANEL scare with the green cargo pants! You all inspire me also!
You are a gem , love your ideas especially that you can thrift as well as purchase clothing you need. I’m always trying to repurpose outfits . The problem is I’m a little over 5 ‘ & at least10-12 lbs over weight. Love that you always stay the same size.
Thank you for your kind comment.
Great channel. My wardrobe is starting to feel boring and you have shown me that I only need a few pieces to make it feel fresh. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I’m a new viewer. I really like your style which is a lot like my own. I feel inspired to do some thrifting, something I haven’t done in a long time. Excited to watch your channel.
Welcome! So glad you enjoyed the video. Happy thrifting!
I love that! Thanks for watching.
Nice video! It’s a shame about the sweater with the hole and you know what I like it enough that I might try to have it repaired. The shape is amazing on that little sweater.
I’m so relieved to hear others also wait on making purchases 😅
I love to wait for sales but yes I agree you might miss out on your size. I recently looked through my closet and found some great pieces I will be using this fall/winter season I had forgotten I had. Shop your closet ladies!
It's so much fun rediscovering pieces you forgot you had!
Thanks for some fresh ideas! When I get bored I watch a couple videos like yours ❤
Thank you!! That makes my day!
I love clothing swap to find something interesting but I realized recently that I just need to spend more time before my closet trying my clothes and making outfits 😊 I ❤ your video and thoughts
Love your new style. Especially the Free People white skirt! Looks great on you!
You are brilliant at this! Thank you! I love everything you presented here, and also the way you organize your closet. What an inspiration. I am off to reorganize my closet 💃💃💃 You have made it feel like fun! ❤
Wow. You made my day. Thank you!! 🩷
I just found you today. I love your style and the fact you are thrifty! A lady after my own heart!
Thank you! I'm thrilled you found my channel.
Love your new additions, and the white skirt looked great with the sweater & white tee underneath!
Loved this refresh your wardrobe video! The white skirt is very pretty 😍
Great video I was so excited to now get my closet organized and plan on following your outfit ideas, even though I am older and not small like you , best advice and not costly Thank You
You’re so welcome! I’m excited for you.
I recognized you and your gorgeous hair from Pinterest! Happy to see you have a YT channel.
Yay! Glad you found me!
Love all your new purchases, Kristen. Love the navy skirt from Old Navy. I am going to Old Navy to see if they still have one😊
I loved that skirt too! Let me know what you find! I miss you!!
Kristen what is the sweater you have on at the video start?
Love the ecru converse..especially like the thicker sole of their sneakers..not so flat and large looking!!
“The thrill of the hunt” - girl, you are speaking my language😂❤
Yeah, it gives you a dopamine release (or something) when you find a cute, expensive item and pay a couple of bucks for it.
I love your new green pants!
It’s so exciting to find a treasure like an organic cotton thrifted tee!
I love your style and your videos! Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Just stumbled across your channel and I’m so glad I did. You are totally speaking my styling language. I’ve subscribed and will be perusing through your other posts. Thanks so much for your content❤
I'm so glad you found me! Thank you for you for watching!
First time watching you and LOVE it!!
I travel regularly for work and have defaulted to all black/all the time… I need out of this rut!!
Thanks
That's fantastic! It's so fun to add versatile pieces to your wardrobe.
Excited your video popped up on my TH-cam feed! Loved your video and decided to subscribe to your channel.
Welcome! I hope you find my videos helpful.
Love the lapel alteration!
I enjoyed the video! Glad to have found you again. When using Pinterest how do you know what things are current?
Accidentally came across your channel, love your explanation, thanks.😊
I appreciate you watching!
I loved this video! Tell me more about the socks, please. I’m wearing no show at the moment, but want a more current sock look. Thank you!
I've been buying and wearing 'fun' socks for the past year. My ankles are warm and my outfits are more interesting. I buy whatever catches my eye.
I was hoping for some links to the newer pieces.
I was glad she told us where she got the items or the brand That made it easy to find.
I don't often link items because I rarely purchase new pieces. And I'm truly a style coach not an influencer. I don't ever want you to feel like you need to shop more to have great style. If you're ever looking for a specific brand or item that I show, I'll be happy to share a link when possible.
Thank you so much for this video. Where did you get that gray sweater you had on?
It's old and thrifted. I'm away for the weekend so I can't check the label. Look for a classic v-neck cashmere sweater a couple of sizes up from what you'd normal purchase. That's why this one has such a great slouch. ;-)
Where did you get your gray pants you are wearing? They look cozy!
Target. Colsie brand.
You must pair your beautiful Chanel scarf with your green cargo pants. You could wear your cream converse and cream top or fisherman sweater. (I’m a stylist…) 💃🏼
You’re absolutely right! I love how many women mentioned pairing the CHANEL scarf and the green pants!! Brilliant minds!
I discover lots of potential pairings by accident when I toss some items on the bed. When I’m exploring in my closet I run items all around to see what might look good together. 👍💃🏼
Greetings from Norway, I hope you loved it here. ❤ Found your channel today, I like it.
Welcome! Thank you!! I miss Norway. What an incredible country.
Great video! Glad I found you!
Those olive gap pants plus the silk scarf that you were just playing with...lol
How did you do your pintrest search to find the looks that suited your personal style? Were there key words or descriptions you used like simple, casual or relaxed? Thank you so much...love that you are not an influencer. Susan
Hi Susan. The beauty of Pinterest is that a simple search and a few saved images will cause the algorithm to start finding similar looks for you. I suggest that you search key words that feel like your vibe. The ones you mentioned are a great start. Adding 'street style' or the season can help to narrow down the search. Good luck!
Where do you find your nifty thrifted clothing? Thrift stores I’ve been in near me have nothing you would wear.😮
Thank you for this
My fave sweaters all have poly content. Not on purpose, but there it is!!
I hear you. I'm glad you appreciate this!
And you can wear those green cargo pants with that amazing Chanel scarf!
YES!!! I can't wait to wear that combo!
I love Converse and Keith Morrison!!
I would like to know where did you buy the half slip in silk please. I have a long time looking for one. All I see is in polyester and nylon, that I despise. Thank you in advance.
I purchased it secondhand at Savers thrift shop. It's 100% silk and I'm thrilled with it!! Keep looking, you'll find yours!
@ Thank you. I will keep looking.
What???
Hello, Neighbor! Park City is beautiful. I'm sure the change is wonderful for you!!
Can you provide a link for the navy skirt?
And I LOVE the YSL scarf
I use Pinterest and will go back today to see if there is a trend and IF I need to purchase. I have recently added two pairs of boot cut pants that are slouchy for me and have really changed the vibe.
Would love to see, how are you dress up your outfits for the holidays?
Thanks for your comment! I'll wear the white skirt extra just for you!! And yes! I do have a holiday outfit video planned.
Thank you for your support! I just filmed a layering video. It will post in December! Great minds!
It’s so hot still in November in SC, how do you style for warm autumn?
Change up your colors and textures to make your outfits feel more autumnal.
I'm a reseller of clothes, shoes, etc., I have an amazing wardrobe as a result. I love a bargain and not wearing what other people do. You can try different things without a big investment.
That's an awesome perk of your work!
Kristen, I’m old school. I thought it was a no-go white pants/jeans/skirts after Labor Day. What are your thoughts? 😊
I grew up with the same rule. I no longer follow it! I actually prefer cream/white jeans in the winter instead of the spring and summer. I like the unexpectedness of winter white. I wear white sneakers all winter and white tee shirts. I think the Labor Day rule is outdated. ☺️
Where did you get the long navy skirt?
It's from Old Navy!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ and that Chanel scarf!!! 💞
I thought you might like that! 😍
Pinterest… how do you begin to see what’s new and fresh in fashion… where do I start?
It’s the girlfriend tee, on sale now!
Hello, i'm a new subscriber.I loved this video, because we have the same style and i like that you add colour in your neutral outfits. I'm trying to do the same!
Thanks for subbing!
I work friend told me that she Scotch-Guarded all of her Converse to keep them looking immaculate.
Ooh! That's a great idea. Thanks for sharing! I grew up with Scotch-Guard! I'll give that a try!
You are so slim anything would look great on you!
Back in the day we got our levis for like $5.99!!
I remember…in 1969🤣!
New subscriber I’m not into trends I literally just do me😘
Welcome!!
Do you really hang your knitwear in your closet? I've had some bad experiences.
I’ve also found if you hang knitwear it goes out of shape - mine is all folded in drawers for this reason.
Almost always. There are some sweaters that I fold because they're very heavy or very delicate.
Great video. I don't know if you're familiar with Dressing your truth which is based in Utah but you are definitely a Type 3 in that system - the brown jacket is perfection!
I lived in Ogden, people walk around in pajamas there. It's shocking at first, but you get used to it.
This may seem like a silly question. How do you know what your style is?
Great question. Get curious. Investigate what you like and what you don't like. Try new things. Trial and error. Try this video for tips... th-cam.com/video/efh4boTv5P4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nj76rlJ1s2mvjxcD
😅
Suggest viewing European videos showing chic fashions that will make you feel younger and relevant at any age.
Converse kills my feet
The houndstooth blazer is not a keeper. Watch your video and notice the seams around the arms , wrist and lapel. Very poorly made.
Thanks for your input. I'm still going to give it a try. ☺️
You look great in skirts 👍🌺
Thank you! I'm excited to embrace them!
