Thankfully, my parents were bluegrass fans and had this album. Also thankfully, more than a few others' albums *and* took me to live festivals. Love me some Bobby & Sonny.
I'd say you were very blessed bro! Thank God for such parents. Man, I can remember my dad getting a used 8-track stereo in 1980-81 along with four tapes: 1-The Eagles "Greatest Hits 1971-75" 2)-"Grease" soundtrack (which my sister drove me crazy with lol) 3)-"Wanted" The Outlaws (Waylon, Willie, Jessi, Tompall) and 4) The Amazing Rhythm Aces "How the Hell Do You Spell Rhythum?". My mom was pianist in our little Baptist church, so I knew all the great old gospel hymns early on. I was 5 years old when the Easter Brothers came and sang at our church, plus every few months a bluegrass group came and did a "singin'". That was a real treat & I had bluegrass fever! I can't imagine what life would've been like without good music as a starting influence. Take care bud.
I used to have some of this, seems like it was a single 45 but it had "hard times" on it when I was about 10(back in ancient times). Thanks for sharing!
Love you dad! Thanks for playing Rocky Top for me, always missing you.
