    Hyundai’s 2018 Accent is a cost-effective sedan with an unbeatable warranty but not a lot of thrills or luxury. The redesigned Accent is no longer available in hatchback form, takes some visual cues from larger Hyundais, and looks more upscale than past versions, but it’s still a totally practical option available at a great price. Our reviewer recommends some features available only to premium trims, but even the flagship Limited has an MSRP of less than $19K.
    All Accents use a 130-hp 1.6-liter 4-cylinder with 119 lb-ft of torque redesigned to improve efficiency and power in the city. A 6-speed manual is available only in the base trim, with all others using a 6-speed automatic our reviewer found slow in responding to input. The Accent packs 90 cubic feet of passenger space, putting it into competition with compacts, rather than subcompacts, and while every Accent includes Bluetooth and a reversing camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available only to the SEL and Limited. Love this little car. I've been in this car many times (Uber/Lyft) and even with four people in the car it had no problem zipping around town and going up those San Francisco hills. It felt solid and well made. Best of all me being 6"1" tall and at just under 300 lbs I had no problem sitting in the back and getting in and out was a breeze. This is def my next city car.

    I actually own a 2018 Hyundai Accent SE in Frost white; bought it in April. I absolutely love the car. Even with just the base model I think it has great options (touch screen, backup cam) it looks great, I average 42mpg (and have gotten to 49.5mpg!) and I think the engine has good pep when you meed it. I paid $13,800 for it brand new w/ military discount, 5-yr free roadside, 100,000 mile warranty. Amazing deal, and my son's rear facing convertible carseat fits fine in it. By far the best looking car in its class, in my opinion. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Just thought I would give y'all an owner's opinion!

      I got the SEL (I'm forgetful so automatic headlights are a must for me) and I love it! I get around the same fuel economy as you, and it has a perfect amount of space for me. Perfect for road trips with my boyfriend and dog.

    I ended up buying a 2018 Accent the weeks ago for my 100mile a day commute. I got the base SE with the 6 speed manual transmission. Came with everything I wanted. Get 41.5 MPG average. Very happy with this car so far. This is my sixth Hyundai since 1999 and all have been great cars. By the way the 2018 Accent is actually built at a KIA plant in Mexico.

      Can I ask why it is your "sixth" car? Is it because the cars break down or because you generally like to switch up every couple of years? I'm only asking because if I do buy this car, I want it to last for more than 10 years. Are Hyundai's reliable?

    Got the 2018 back in 2018. Got it for about 13.3k before taxes brand new. Love it!
    Currently at 40k miles and still going strong. No problems, no indicator lights, AC runs every time I drive, and I get a solid 35-39MPG average.

      megarutabega that model is not USA certified yet, for emissions, and stupid rules about speedometer, etc. Buying it in Canada, and importing it only by an individual, is a federal and state paperwork nightmare. Plus, the warranty is not honored.

      @PetiteCauchemar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      isoygblitz I have the SEL. At my dealership, it ended up being about $700 more than the SE, so it made sense. The SE doesn't have some features like automatic headlights (I'm forgetful), but if you don't need bells and whistles it's nice. I like the car a lot! It fits everything I need, has great fuel economy, and drives well.

    Waited anxiously for this car to arrive in Canada, and was disappointed when I sat in one at the Toronto Auto Show. No leg room for rear passengers, even young kids. Ended up buying the Kia Forte (sister company) and am very happy. But the accent is a great looking car.

    • @user-rt5iw8hi1r

      Looking in the wrong class buddy This is a subcompact car but it has the most interior run in its glass pretty much so you're not going to find Uber amount of legroom in these vehicles although it's plenty comfortable for over 6 footers

    • @jjstuartonwriting8150
      @jjstuartonwriting8150 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-rt5iw8hi1r Yeah, that was 6 years ago. Still wish I bought it, but my Forte has been a phenomenal car, with room in the back for the kids who are much bigger now. In hindsight I maybe should have gotten an SUV, but the fuel savings on the Forte are great.

    Entertainment centers? Heated seats? Complex lane change features? Dude, it is an economy car. What do you expect? Also, it is not meant to be a sports car. Why are you worried about passing people at 65mph? Is it comfortable to drive? Check. Does it handle reasonably well? Check. Does it have enough room inside for you and maybe a passenger or two? Check. Add in the best warranty in the business and I think the Accent is a great economy car. No hatchback? Who cares. They are ugly anyway. Great review, but please keep in mind the type of machine you are reviewing and what its purpose is. Peace.

      Uhh what ???? U want a car for free or what ? 14,000 is affordable as fuck if you have just decent credit . That’s like $220 /a month for car payments. If you want to make less than $200 payments on a car then you have no business buying a brand new car and need to get a used car.
