To answer the Heatran question, from a gameplay perspective anyway, the reason Heatran can't breed with it's own species is because it is part of the 'Undiscovered' egg group. Normally, two Pokemon within the same egg group can breed and produce offspring (doesn't matter how different the two species are, as long as the egg group is the same, which explains Skitty and Wailord). However, those 'mons in the 'Undiscovered' egg group cannot produce offspring. Majority of Pokemon in this group tend to be legendaries or one-of-a-kind Pokemon, to prevent players from essentially 'farming' a species for competitive viability. Hope that answers your question for those who were curious.

Actually answering the Heatran question (from a liscenced certified pokemon nerd). The reason it has a gender is because it wants to. Also, the reason it cannot breed with it's own species is because the only way to get another Heatran in one game is to trade, which is canonically transferring between alternate timeline/universes, meaning that Heatran wouldn't know how to breed as trading with actual players is a canonically 'recent' discovery, and because Heatran is literally millions of years old, it would neither know how to do this from the start, nor have time to evolve (like real world evolution, not pokemon evolution) to be able to breed.
TLDR: There is only one Heatran in every universe, so it can't breed.

One Rotom to another, it should be noted that the whole question of legendaries breeding has a much easier solution than most give it credit for. After all, the anime shows a Lugia breeding or a Manaphy egg, and some of the games make explicit reference to Mew breeding. It's plausible that most of the Pokémon that can't breed, including those with genders like Heatran, are like giant pandas - they can breed just fine in the wild but they don't do so in captivity.

@@LordBeau Interesting question, m'lord. I have two theories. One is that the regis travel the pokemon world, exploring the new world as it has been sealed for a long time. The second is that Regigigas created multiple regirocks, regices, ect. for each region when they entered their respective periods (Ice age, stone age). Why there are multiple regigigas, is a whole other can of worms, possibly even with similar answers.

It’s easier than you think. It may be an overly aggressive autocorrect removing a word after you type the next word because it’s trying to correct your grammar. For myself, I’ve noticed that as I’m typing a sentence I’ve planned in my head and then thinking through each individual word as I type it, I get kind of a deja vu where my brain says I’ve already typed it, so I skip it and move onto the next word. Sometimes the edit button is just too hard to find.

It could be that autocorrect restrictions are too tight. It could be that my head isn’t screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all is that on some platforms, the edit button is two sizes too small.

Also to answer the question, it was simply on accident. The devs accidentally left the code in to assign it a gender, and never changed it in later gens to stay consistent.

@@KogasaTatara514yeah, I was thinking that's the case, since Heatran is in the Unknown Egg Group and is a mythical, and all Legendaries and Mythicals aren't assigned a gender and placed in the Unknown Egg Group to prevent breeding legendaries (basically duplication with extra steps)

I'm not religious either. I was forced to go to church a few times as a kid, and I couldn't get an answer to the question, "If God loves us and forgives us, why are people sent to Hell for eternity with no chance of redemption? How come people in Hell can't learn from their mistakes and escape?" (I probably didn't word it quite as well, but that's the gist of it.) That experience prevented it from ever really getting a foothold and prevent me from questioning stuff. There's a lot of good stuff in the Bible, sure, but it's a shame so few Christians ever bother to follow any of it...

Those two babies are growing up in a kinder and more loving household than many children who grow up with cishet parents. They also get to grow up with parents who chose to be parents, not parents who just got horny one day.
Thousands of years ago, society got wise to the fact that giving into every sexual impulse spreads disease and creates widespread social problems, and they subsequently vilified sexuality to deal with it. Now we have medicine and birth control and it's perfectly possible to separate a decision to be a parent from a decision to be sexually active. And now we have people who are offended by the idea of choosing to be a parent (or not) because parenting is supposed to be your payment to god for the sin of liking sex.
I thank good parents for adopting. They give a proper childhood to children who would otherwise not have one.

Deadpool is definitely influenced by Deathstroke. Can't lie your way out of that one. Slade Wilson, Wade Wilson. Similar abilities, similar fighting styles, almost the same backstory on how they became superhuman, etc. The evidence is pretty obvious. I'm not hating on Deadpool but trying to say he's not influenced by Deathstroke is silly.
In some Marvel comics he's referred to as Slade in direct reference to Deathstroke.

Both characters are mercenaries who have powers due to a partially bothched super soldier experiment. Both use a combination of swords and firearms. They have similar names and somewhat similar costumes.
Deathstroke is called Slade Wilson and Deadpool is called Wade Wilson.
And all that is a coincidence?
All Rob Liefeld did was draw the first pictures of Deadpool, it was joe Kelly who gave him a personality and made Deadpool the fourth wall breaking merc with a mouth that he is today.

Assuming you mean Deadpool at which point I have to point out that the other creator, the first writer of Deadpool, was the first one to point out the similarities. To Liefeld. Before the character was published. Liefeld can deny it all he wants, but he’s not even the one who made Deadpool interesting or unique. And Liefeld is kind of known for a lack of originality in his designs.

Edit: Like 99% of Rob's characters aren't all ripoffs of preexisting characters. He can only draw five types of characters and one of those types is "women".
Fabien Nicieza promotes the idea that there are similarities and had in fact pointed out on first pitch that "He looks like Deathstroke The Terminator" in the "New Teen Titans" comics, but I've just read through a couple articles regarding this and at no point was Deadpool described as being just "Deathstroke with Spiderman's mouth". Rather, despite the superficial similarities, Deathstroke was noted to be a ex-military turned family man turned mercenary (and lost his family to boot), and Deadpool was noted as being insane. Apparently, one of the early comics (Deadpool Nerdy 30 #1) even goes as far as acknowledging that the perception is there while simultaneously mocking it. In the same article on ScreenRant, "Deadpool Mocks His Own Origin As A Deathstroke Rip-Off", there's also a link to another article discussing how Deathstroke shares more similarities with The Punisher than anything else.
To summarize: Similarities and inspiration are not the same as rip-off and plagiarism. Deadpool and Deathstroke both have their unique identities apart from each other.
Looking to see if anyone commented something along these lines. Rob Liefeld takes credit for being Deadpool’s creator, but I think he takes too much credit for Deadpool’s uniqueness, given he just came up with the visual design and name. A design Nicieza said was basically Deathstroke. It wasn’t Liefeld that made him interesting or unique. It was Nicieza, Waid, Kelly, and other writers.
And I agree with your edit, Rob may claim there’s no similarity, but the man isn’t original at least 90% of the time. Pretty certain he’s either in denial or trying to bluff about his lack of originality.

Even if they were referring to movies in general, it wouldn’t be sexist for someone to not know of any movie that literally has no women in it. There was nothing sexist about that comment. If it were in response to a woman-centric movie (that still featured very little male characters), claiming that there has never been a man-centric movie (featuring very few female characters), that would be more easily disproven and would have a case for sexism, but that is not what is being said here.

Please be nice to your USPS drivers. They are some of the _sweetest_ people I've ever met. I've gotten to know all but 2 of my drivers and when they see me, they'll stop what they're doing and hand me my package if it's in their arms. One time the delivery lady ran back to her truck to grab my parcel and hand it to me.
Ok, I know it's annoying having stuff marked as delivered before it's delivered, but that's not on them; they're told to mark it to save face for the company.
