Charlie is correct , usually we put rams in from September - November . We try to put a tup in in time for a late February early March lambing just when it starts to get warmer ! Love how you guys champion British farmers ! It truly means a lot to us ❤

When my son was very small, 3 years old, I would look out the window and he would be in the yard hugging trees. It was the cutest thing. He would say, mommy I love trees so I hug and hug them. He was so precious. To this day he loves being out in the country. We had a small country cottage at that time. We live outside if Pittsburgh, USA.
Ok this is for Charlie, pricking sausages reduces the possibility of their exploding, but is an UNNECESSARY step when your cooking high quality sausages, as much of their juices will seep out, resulting in dryer less tasty sausages!

Charlie is correct about the farmers control when to breed the cattle. I grew up on a dairy farm and my Dad would breed the cows on a schedule so we would always have fresh milk cows for the dairy.

Yes! I agree with Josie and the way she views nature. Prior to having breast cancer I lived a very busy life and never stopped to enjoy the little things in life. I visualize nature soooo different now. I take walks and I admire looking at a tree that some may see as not so perky, but if I see a tree with a broken limb hanging down and a healthier branch I see it as the tree has rough seasons like we do. I see that broken limb being held up by the other like great friends in my life. My true balcony friends who hold me up in my bad seasons and don't look down on me.
I loved watching Dexter in the time-lapse sequence of cleaning out the greenhouse - just sitting there, in the same spot watching the goings on - watching just him I really couldn't tell that things were sped up because he hardly moved. 😂 So cute! His coat simply 'glimmered' in the sun. 😉

I went to the dreaming retreat in June and we hugged trees in a forest bathing exercise. I was very cynical at first, but it was genuinely so grounding I got emotional, and I now do it when I’m stressed and it really does work - sounds mad, but I am totally on board with tree hugging!

Our local farmers put the Ram to the Ewes in september / October time so we get lovely early little lambs in the New Year and we usually get calves around May time .....i think it can depend on your location and your weather .....but no matter what time of year , always lovely to see little youngsters in the fields 😊.....loved coming shopping with you xxxx

Love Stow and my dad loved antique shops and I would browse with him. Mum always said we had enough but I loved what dad collected and have some of his now. The shops there are so cute and I loved the chelsea boots. You really need a 4 wheel drive out there as the fords get so flooded like here and not worth the risk.
Those pots aren't deep enough for the bulbs you've put in them - all bulbs need to be planted to 3 x their depth, even in pots. Looks like they're meant for little bulbs like crocus, muscari or miniature irises and daffodils - and yes, they DO need holes in the bottom for drainage!

It’s a great idea to add quinoa to soup. It is literally so much tastier if you wash it first . It has a bitter film naturally on it .
