I wish they only sell the trainer, would be a great stress reducer for the office. I absolutely don't need the knife itself, i only want to play arround.
That's why I am looking at a butterfly knife as well. I have an old spyderco small fly I am holding onto bc they were recalled but I never carry it bc they scare other people but the Flipping is just fun..
I hope that I'm not committing some sort of foul, because I have a question that doesn't relate to this knife at all. I have been looking at purchasing an OTF for a very long time. There are a dozen lists of which are the best, and none of the lists really agree. I trust your take on this. I will spend up to $750. I really live the G &G Hawk Deadlock, but I can't fathom that spending 3k on one will get me a better knife than say a Microtech Combat Troodon. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
I could be wrong, but I believe that a karambit is intended to be used in a reverse grip only. As far as I'm concerned, a karambit is a single purpose tool that requires a degree of training to utilize effectively.
As a level 15 ninja commander he is totally right. But I still carry a 4 max scout everywhere incase a zombie apocalypse breaks out while I'm at the super market 😂.
I picked this up last month. Very fun to fidget with, but you absolutely have to he careful. I've stabbed my palm a few times when closing it. The trainer is nice to get some practice in, but the plastic handle causes the blade to stick. You get a good feel for the motion, but not the force needed. The real knife swings much more freely, and can bounce back when closing, causing the palm stabs. Also, small issue, it ships with the pocket clip set for left handed carry. Which is fine for about ten percent of the population. Easy enough to switch it over, but really shouldn't have needed to.
I love the Karambit, but not very practical at all. In an agriculture setting probably more useful. In theory and under certain conditions I think they are great in a self defense application with basic knowledge.
They are good at what they do, cutting well and deeply, though I am going to be that guy and state that the original Karambits were indeed utility blades, designed to cut roots, with the finger ring allowing retention when removing said roots (at least if Wikipedia is accurate...) . I think more and differing knives would benefit from finger rings (White River's Firecraft 3.6 pro s a nice example) as they just boost grip retention so excellently.
Not everyone only cut up boxes. All Law Enforcement carry blades, as do First Responders. Arnis, Eskrima, and Kali are part of the Armed Forces Training of half a dozen Militaries, including the U.S. and Russia. That's a lot of people with the Training and inclination to carry a blade for a purpose other than cutting up boxes and fidgeting.
I like karambits here lately been carrying a kershaw outlier and i like it but like you said general knife tasks i carry for the day im gonna unzip somebody from bellybutton to there neck but really im just opening up kids toys all the time with it .. this is cool tho i like it
Want one so..badly!...Managed to ALMOST score one and order was canceled because I live in Canada and this is considered a "centrifugal knife" Sadly, I have no argument against this definition. 😢
cool concept but I don't think that even if you are into Philippine ambushes in the jungle this would be any useful. Maybe all that faff around to deploy is convincing enough for whoever is in front to just flee. Although I would like to play with the trainer
When I first seen it I thought how many Allowances I’d have to save up then I remembered I’m 35 that being said I ask my wife to get me one then she said show me this thing sounds kool, then she instantly said you’ll need stitches as soon as you lay with it. So guess I’ll be buying my own stitches this year
So sick, and I want one because it's cool as hell. However, you'd still need at least one (I'd prefer 2 for different uses) knife on you, because you don't want to use this for daily tasks. I don't want to have to keep that blade sharp, and you'd want it sharp if you ever needed it. Most of us would carry it our whole lives and never need it, OR the one in a million chance you need this to save your life, you probably won't be carrying it cuz you've gotten sick of carrying daily for years but not needing!
I mean you can probably get away with using the edge for EDC tasks and not really have to worry about keeping that heavy recurve sharpened all the time. Karambits are pokey pokey devices so even a horrifically dull one will still do its job , which is absolutely to penetrate first and foremost. The tip on that thing will do EDC tasks efficiently even if the blade itself is dull as sin. But yeah sharpening it for the sake of having a quality edge consistently will not be a fun endeavor for most people that's for sure lol.
As someone practices a martial art that uses these... this is still just a bad idea of how to make a folding karambit 😅. There is a point where if you are in situations that demand both an instant draw of a lethal weapon AND it's built for close combat.... maybe it's time to just use a fixed blade? 😂
I think using a karambit in general is a bad idea. Just buy a shotgun and put some buckshot in it and call it a day. These folding ones are really fun to play around with though if nothing else.
You are right. In 63 years of carrying a pocket knife I have never used it as a weapon or ever threatened anyone with it. I mainly use it to eat when I’m not home. I would also not bring a knife to a gunfight. I use a box cutter to cut boxes.
I like karambits verry much, but this thing no way, it's a dangerous "toy", in my opinion fixed karambits like the badass Bastinelli B.A.K is the real deal
I almost bought one of these when they came out and thought "nah, I can wait, I doubt anyone will buy these" and then they started selling out. And now there's big TH-cam videos on them... welp
It’s by a very large Chinese oem. Don’t fret about scarcity they will make enough. If anything the popularity of this thing will lead them to make more variants. I think I’ll wait for the damasteel version for the ultimate gas station knife
Well not only that but kinetic folding karambits are being adopted by more than just these guys. The floodgate opened now so eventually you'll see a Benchmade grizzly creek folding karambit and everything.

Definitely belongs on the _Knives You Don't Hand to People_ list
halfway through the video and this is already the most entertaining unboxing vid i’ve ever watched 😂
A really neat feature is they made it where the button can be swapped for lefties. Very amby friendly
I love the way you describe it at the end. The "tactical" voice was perfect.
MC got the extra goofy jokes in this. I love it
That is super cool! And super terrifying! Since I manage to cut myself fidgeting with a Para 2, I definitely can't be trusted with that knife.
i managed to shred my leg with a spyderco tasman and dropped a cold steel vaquero xl on my forehead.
there's always a bigger idiot!😂
I love your videos Sir simply due to your banter and third person conversations. Plus you're informative and fun to listen to
i love you including the outtakes for the leather slap
You figuring out how to operate
Ate this had me laffing. Im also not a fan of karambits but I like this set. I could see opening boxes etc
"I'm afraid to put it back in" Said NO1 EVER LMFAO
😂 right?!?!
🫦🫦🫦
5:36 whip it real good
"You think you are playing with someone who doesn't want fries with that?"..... HILARIOUS!!
I wish they only sell the trainer, would be a great stress reducer for the office. I absolutely don't need the knife itself, i only want to play arround.

Ahhh! The finger remover 3000!!!
God damn!! I couldn’t stop laughing when i read this 😂😂😂
It's my favorite knife to date. The trainer makes it even better.
I hope that I'm not committing some sort of foul, because I have a question that doesn't relate to this knife at all. I have been looking at purchasing an OTF for a very long time. Yup, great for burlap sack and neck opening, and not much else...😊
I like it a lot and play with it on the regular. It's most definitely a learning process but fun
Karavity Grambit
You got to get that "Yowww Whappp BeBang ", for it to work right 🤘🤩
When I got mine they sent bandaids with it!
Only used one 😊
I started laughing out loud when you said, "This is so stupid!"
Whip It....Whip It Good...Whip It....Whip It Good.
Thanks Riot!
You gotta whip it "real good"!
I wholeheartedly agree! All these fancy pants knives ain’t practical *spits in metal tin* lemme introduce to my this here Buck 110…
After messing with the trainer for a week, both pivots smooth out really well, and closing has to be more deliberate now.
As a level 15 ninja commander he is totally right. But I still carry a 4 max scout everywhere incase a zombie apocalypse breaks out while I'm at the super market 😂.

Yup. Weird. Expensive. Kinda cool. Impractical. You're right again.
I'll bet it's a cardboard destroyer. But only because all the blood would help soften the cardboard before the actual cutting.
Wouldn't like a cheap but tough steel be best for most karambits...not like your really worried about edge retention
I love the Karambit, but not very practical at all. In an agriculture setting probably more useful. In theory and under certain conditions I think they are great in a self defense application with basic knowledge.

Good solid 8.6 out of 10 slap even with multiple attempts
Absolutely love this knife 🤣👍
A couple Hinderers at GP Knives on page 2. As of 3:pm Pacific standard time. Just saying
I'm not the biggest fan of that knife either... But really to hear you put your spin on it... I'm just laughing and can't stop.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Listen to Devo and you got to whip it and whip it good!
when will the T-1000 be available? or did I miss out
I like karambits here lately been carrying a kershaw outlier and i like it but like you said general knife tasks i carry for the day im gonna unzip somebody from bellybutton to there neck but really im just opening up kids toys all the time with it .. this is cool tho i like it

Sadly, I have no argument against this definition.
😢
Good thing they sent a trainer.
MC 2023:
"YOU WANT FRIES WIT DAT?!"
That's the grim reaper of fidget knives!
Take you're first thumb ad push the button while gripping it with you're other thumbs
cool concept but I don't think that even if you are into Philippine ambushes in the jungle this would be any useful. Maybe all that faff around to deploy is convincing enough for whoever is in front to just flee. Although I would like to play with the trainer
Definitely different but cool
Gotta flip the button and clip

Nice deploy mate
"I turned 8 and never got any older" we love you MC keep on never growing up. 😅
$170 isn't bad
“How did I do it the first time?” 😂😂
You are correct! It's so stupid that I want one!
if this is the way the edc knife hobby is going i´ll start knitting or something
Definitely for knife enthousiasts only.
Where can I get one?
Which Lego Bionicle set is this??
I keep almost buying it, but I would never carry it, and not trained in anyway. I just think its neat and I want one haha. Cant justify it atm
Is the blade on the trainer, plastic or metal ?

I carry a Yojimbo that I don't use for anything and a Native 5 Salt to use.
I'd break the record for most visits to the ER if I had that knife. (I want it.)
i turned 8 and never got older lmaoooo

Card slap 8/10
This should be considered in knife of the year ...karambit or not
I NEEEED one of these 🤣🤣
Great review 😂
Lol they are sooo good at opening boxes tho unironically
We are going to see a vid real soon. MC will have his right hand and arm wrapped from a nasty cut from this knife.
8.8 on the slap
the part with the standoff is a pretty dumb design flaw!
Love the vids
Here take all the fries u want! 😅
lol I got the exact same set 2 days ago it's so sick
That's a 1you didn't throw the Mc leather. I understand you were excited about the knife so I'll give you a pass😂

Hello!
That's why there's a trainer😂
Bro.. watch a video lol. Centrifugal force! Spin it around your finger lol. I’m yelling at you right now for no reason haha
Whip it average😮
OHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I almost bought one of these when they came out and thought "nah, I can wait, I doubt anyone will buy these" and then they started selling out. And now there's big TH-cam videos on them... welp

I can't believe I have this knife.
My health insurance isn't good enough to fidget with this.
Day 12 of asking of we can we get a playlist or top 10 video of knives with the "tingy-est" deployments ✌️😁
Haven't found one anywhere. Sucks.
Therefore the reason for a trainer
" A tactical way to deploy this"....and chop your fingers biiiiig time!😶
They're all sold out already 😢
Only a 4.5 for the flop today.
WHACHAAAA!!!!!
You don’t get Karambits because you’re not a wizard!
I’d have the phone set on 911 so you could activate with your nub.
🧙♂️
They should really just sell the trainer. I would 100% buy just the trainer.
"I'm just here so I don't get fined"
Pretended not know how to use it..stop it already 😂
MC, just Facetime Jared and he'll show you how to use it. 😂
