Definitely appreciate my sunrise records at Scarborough town centre. Was able to get a few titles (that sold out prime day) and take advantage of their 3+ 4K titles and 15% off.
As much as I like supporting local businesses, the prices on those 4k's is insane compared to what you can get them for on Amazon. Literally 2x the price in some cases.
Yea it’s either local shops here in Toronto or Best Buy for me. Sadly seeing Amazon increase their prices cuz it’s the only option for collectors has been real scummy.
@themockbustercanada I believe in sending a message with my wallet. I'll add 4k's to my Amazon wishlist and sit on them for months until the price drops due to a sale or whatever. Which for most of them, they eventually do drop. $20 or less is where I typically pull the trigger on an Amazon purchase. I feel like if the majority of collectors would do this, that sends a strong message of what the average consumer is willing to pay. $35 Canadian is totally unacceptable for a standard release, and I refuse to pay it.
