- Welcome to my HD guide for this World War II game in Realistic difficulty. In these videos I complete all hidden objectives and hero moments. They also provide you with a full storyline with all cinematics.
In Realistic difficulty enemies are smarter and more accurate when shooting. You will also get into dying status after only one rifle shot, so you need to learn how to cover properly and interact with your team more. Also for the most part of the game your paramedic has only one med pack, so be careful. A way to conserve ammo is to pick up enemy weapons when you're going to be shooting from a spot for a period of time, then when you have to move, retrieve your own weapon. I use this tactic because the American weapons like the M1 Garand, Thompson SMG, are stronger and better than the enemy weapons. And make sure you don't miss any ammo pickups.
I will also upload in a different playlist all the supplemental videos that come with the game, about the WWII and the making of this game. Make sure to watch in HD and I hope you enjoy my walkthrough.
NOTE: In the Guadalcanal mission, even if you complete all the hidden objectives and hero moments, in the medals section you'll get only 2 of 5 medals.
Hidden Objectives and Hero Moments for Guadalcanal:
Hidden Objective 5 - Sight the Japanese patrol without being seen.
Hero Moment 3 - Sneak to the portable machine gun without being seen.
Hidden Objective 6 - Blow up the supply cache in the river-side camp.

Yes, I still play this. Members of my family were on Guadalcanal. They survived. They would never talk about it. This keeps me close to them. This reminds me of what they went through for us. I have attended many of their reunions. They only talk about what happened when they are alone with each other.

Well, I guess you got to be smart in war, and know when to cover, when to shoot, when to retreat. I suggest you to watch the boot camp video again, and pay close attention to what the drill sergeant has to say about it.

I really wish this game would have been remastered..... it was BADASS for its time and is still badass I play it constantly

And better squad control similar to brothers in arms.
Where you can position your men and have them
Flank the enemy
Provide suppressing fire
Or a frontal assault on a position
Fall back
Rally up
Take cover etc.
IK i'm too late to say this but if u left alt the portable MG is much easier to save ur ammo and use the portable MG down the river its much easier

I thought so too, but hell I mean, an automatic is made to mow down and flinch an offensive move. There’s time to reload when you’re successfully hitting, you wouldn’t want to be at your last few bullets when you really need to hit hard

I got this game on Origin, and there is something weird with the realistic mode.
I know the HUD is disabled, and you can enable it through the settings menu. But, it isn't difficult at all! Is like playing on normal without HUD... I believe it has a glitch, because I remember this being extremely difficult, back in the day when this game was released...

This is hard difficulty, the only difference between Hard and realistic is HUD off...you will get killed from one bullet even on hard difficulty....if you enable the HUD on, than that defeats the purpose of Realistic!
The reason that you can turn on the HUD is if you get stuck in some mission and cant finish it then you can cheat by turning the HUD on. so you dont have to restart the whole campagne!
If you gonna record the Realistic that do it right!
I'l play the whole game on realistic and will upload it, with No HUD, no Alied icons, no crosshair, no radar, no health, ammo, nothing.... it not as difficult as you think!
+Dario Ajducic The HUD doesn't help much really, neither does the crosshair. So I don't get why so many people make so much fuss about it. Of course it's not difficult but you can't please everybody in this world, some may have asked "why no HUD!?" if I had kept it 100% realistic, 'cause it still is, just not 100%. In that case the game should end after the first death.
I hope to do that realistic mode you mentioned too, in the future, if I can get the time. Good for you, I hope you have a great run. Maybe you can learn something from my videos.

Realistic. But not many people believe it, though. You can put the HUD back on in the options menu.

this cant be realistic, I've been the playing the game and the HUD is always turned off in realistic mode.
Why do people keep putting the realistic difficulty on a pedestal? It's not that hard, God! You can turn on the HUD in the settings, in the pause menue. Try it, and you'll still be able to play realistic. You'll be on the ground after one rifle shot, for example.
Yes I know that, I've played it on realistic and its not the easiest compared to the other difficulties, and I didn't know you could turn the HUD back on , sorry.
