      Hey dude, how do I message you about mixing/re amping a track I'm working on? Not acoustic, more indie punk but struggling with tone on garage band. Let me know if ur interested in helping

    Thanks Colin, I appreciate that you mix your youtube videos with the same philosophy. Eliminating all the unnecessary "noise" leaving the final product clear and concise, so many other TH-camrs make us sit through painful unnecessary dialogue that muddy up the mix. If you can't make clear well-balanced youtube videos chances are you are not mixing your music correctly either. Nice work!

    This is boss, man. Especially about lowering the low end EQ. I wonder if you have a tutorial on solo acoustic - trying to get that deep, natural sound off a Gibson Blues King, little guy, nothing but my fingers. Cheers and thanks for making these vids.👍👍👍

    Haven’t been on in a while Colin. Great information as always, the new gb features for tweaking the q look awesome. I always found the old way was a bit too sensitive. Congrats on your subscribers as well. Quality information and a good delivery will always garner interest. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks for your video Colin! Hey, could you someday teach us how to EQ acoustic guitars when there is just guitar and voice?

    • @TheBandGuide
      @TheBandGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! I think we’ll have a predominately acoustic singer songwriter style song on the next album that I’ll be able to use!

    Loving the vids. Very informative. Curious to know if you use a mic to record acoustics or plug straight in. If you mentioned that here sorry if I missed it. Thanks!

    • @TheBandGuide
      @TheBandGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Didn't mention it here- I nearly always prefer the sound of an acoustic recorded with a mic (roughly 12" away from the 12th fret pointed at the sound hole)

    Thanks Colin. What version of GB are you using? My vs doesn't allow me to adjust the width/slope of the eq.

      Definitely check out my mastering video for starters! Also, Streaky puts out some great content on mastering: th-cam.com/users/StreakyMasteringTV
      It’s all the same principles, however the big issue you’ll often run into is the sub bass overloading the limiter.
      For $40, John Naclerio is the best mastering engineer I know and uses 100% pro gear. I have him master every song I do.
