- Installing bar tap on my bullhorn handlebar 1X bicycle conversion project!
You could probably plug the end of the bar tape under the bar end brake levers but it is an extra step. I choose not to do it and have had no problems.

You'd better wrap it outwards instead of inwards. Because hands got tendency to roll handlebars in outward directions. That motion is gonna loosen up your wrap.
Nice setup, just put some rodeo pursuit handle bars on my bike. Going to attempt putting the tape on based off your video!
I got bullhorn handlebar now with all stock shimano rapidfire 3x7 gonna buy next soon some brake like that and trigger shifters
I'm looking to have exactly the same setup on an old gas pipe frame. Bought a 9 speed chain and cassette to work with the 2x crank-set that is already fitted. Hoping to fit v-brakes with bullhorn bars and convert to 1x setup while keeping the down-tube shifters. Would you be able to offer any advice or have a playlist of your conversion?

Wouldn't it have been better if you left a gap at each end of the bars so you could fit your mounts, without having to put them over the bar tap? or like you said, maybe that's your thing.
isn't it better when wou cut off the end of the tape, (angle cut) you cut towards stem instead of tip of the handle. so it will be clean and square finished wrapping.

wrapped the tape in the wrong direction and cut the end the wrong direction too...
