  • Accelerated Technologies' John Sharrard explains in depth how compression damping affects a snowmobile's bump response and handling. Understanding tuning your compression damping will allow you to get the most out of your current snowmobile! Or, if your snowmobile doesn't have adjustable compression damping, this video may show you just what you're missing.

Your video is the most informative that I have ever seen pertaining to how a snowmobile suspension shock system works. Thank you so much. I sprung for aftermarket shocks (Elka and Exit) and have been struggling to adjust the shocks to be at least better than OEM. Still not there but hopefully your videos will help me to find the sweetspot. Hopefully the spring selection and damping range was built properly for my use. Again, many thank you's. And yes I subscribed.

Great Video John 👍🏼 Soon I’ll be installing the set of 4 Elka Stage 5 shocks I ordered from you last fall for my ‘22 T-Cat.. I took delivery very late in the season so I’m looking forward to running the sled with Elkas this winter. 😁 Take Care

      @@bennyb6071 Hey Benny,
No I didn’t care for them at all. The QS3’s were a harsh ride IMO no matter what I did and it’s due to lacking rebound adjustment. I was very disappointed with the offering of the Fox QS3’s on one of Cats highest priced sleds. If it came with the FOX QS3R’s as standard equipment I could have worked with them as they have rebound. The QS3’s do not.
Coming off of Skidoo since 2007 and this being my first Arctic Cat, I can now say with the Elka Stage 5’s installed the T-cat rides as good as my XRS 900T with R-motion. That’s all the Cat needs to do is offer a better quality shock on their high end T-cat. Take Care ❄
