Nice ! 👍 Have had a small position in KLIP along with the YieldMax ETFs as a yield booster in my portfolio for the past couple of months - really happy so far!
Thanks Adrian for another great interview video! I love these interview videos with the fund manager. We get to see who is managing the fund and learn more about how the fund operates. The beauty of these super high yield funds is that you do not need to risk a lot to get that massive dividend. Already in KLIP and it has definitely boosted my RRSP's overall return %. 😋
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting KLIP does not work for a young retire like me. I need NAV to increase some & high yield. I wish they keep some money and added to the NAV. You mentioned some did this, which ones?

Withholding 15% tax for Canadians non-registered accounts is confusing for me. My understanding was that covered call premium is considered capital gain, so no withholding tax. That's why I have tsly in my TFSA account. Listening to this KLIP video it seems that we should have it in a retirement account to avoid the 15% withholding tax. However, it uses covered calls and that should be considered capital gains. I'm confused!
I have TSLY in my tfsa as well. They do take 15% withholding tax. Perhaps because it's US covered calls. Maybe Canadian covered calls are taxed as capital gains.
@@Martmi29 interesting as the IRS rules say it’s for American dividends. Maybe they have a different definition of what a “dividend” is down there? Any experts can elaborate?
