I grew up in union county for 20 years now since I was 8 and I miss how it use to be, it’s nice people coming but there’s too many coming and it made this place not only expensive to live but too much traffic. I miss the old WAXHAW and weddington.
Yah, there has been a ton of growth in the smaller towns around Charlotte

Well done, Josh! We love Waxhaw. We live in The Reserve and moved my parents to Grove Manor a year ago. It's a wonderful place to live and raise a family.

I've lived here my entire life. I've seen change after change after change. And it's still changing. Daily. I miss the days when the only thing one knew about Waxhaw was that it was a passthrough for people going to Myrtle Beach. Progress is cool, but it's so busy here now. It's not really that "sleepy" anymore.
That is true, I was raised in Clover, SC. Its crazy to see how much things have grown over the years
Chill out with moving down here the infrastructure sucks you’ll be sitting in traffic forever.
I am not sure anyone can stop people from moving to the greater Charlotte area..
It takes 20 damn minutes to get from main street to the Walmart these days it's ridiculous (75)

Only 10 minutes from my place Lancaster SC...Waxhaw used to be a sleepy little NC town but now very expensive since Charlotte exploded...
yah, Charlottes Growth has overflowed to many towns surrounding Charlotte. How long have you lived in Lancaster?

Horrible traffic from I-77 to 485 and then Providence Rd. And vice versa. But if you are rich maybe your Tesla drives until you read the news or a book!!!

I would love to live there but there’s 1 way in and 1 way out and traffic is stupiddddd. Especially with the luxury apartments popping up everywhere
Growth has caused a backup in traffic, its still a beautiful area
The best I loved Waxhaw we grew own farmland. We traded meat for food. My grandfather owned pigs and chickens survival was the best money wasn't a priority. Learned about Hocake bread the best bread for breakfast.

@@rickygervaissgyno4081 I appreciate your feedback! There is quite a few things to do in Waxhaw, I touch on quite a few of them in the video! I know pricing is very relative though, many surrounding CLT areas have seen a huge increase in property value & population over the past few years.. (which is a testament to the popularity of Waxhaw, and CLT as a whole!)

I remember when I lived in Waxhaw in the 1980’s. It was a dry county, I guess that’s changed.
That is super cool!, I never knew that Union County was a Dry county. That did change 😂

I leave in waxhaw all my life and hate how it is now with all the Yankees that moved here and made the price of living go up for us locals and all crowned packed into the small town waxhaw is ruined now everyday you see a wreck because of this stupid people

Downtown Waxhaw reminds me of Garner and Fuquay. But it’s typical of the Yankees and Western mafia are taking over NC. I used to go to Waxhaw with my grandmother when she used to drive around a lot. NowWaxhaw is just like any other town/city in NC. This is terrible.
Waxhaw has seen a ton of growth (Just like the greater CLT area). However, I feel they have done a good job of maintaining that old town vibe, especially in Downtown.

As a native North Carolinian there are too many people moving here. All these transplants are not welcome or wanted. And anyone who promotes this areas growth, including Josh Finigan, is not welcome here either.

Can't stand going through waxhaw, my wife grew up there I told her I saved he.northeners an Charlotteteans moving here have ruined this town, 😡its like trying to drive through Charlotte during rush hour
