I received my Thermal cinch yesterday and was not super happy with the results, so I've been watching anything I can find for tips and tricks.
I love these super cute little books you've made. My grand nieces would love them. I've made two 8x11 books with my Thermal Cinch. I had to remelt one and I also pushed down on the papers and banged it on the table too. That worked and they both look great now. I tried to make a bigger book and forgot to add more glue strips and ended up with a mess. So I'm going to add more glue strips and try the bigger book again. I have a lot of mostly scrapbook class materials that used to be in binders. They take up a lot of room, so I bought the Cinch to make smaller books and get rid of the bulky binders.
Thank you for kind comments. My understanding was the size of the binder being quarter inch (using one glue strip)or one inch using (four glue strip. To insure all pages get securely attached. These mini books are perfect for little notes of just draw picture, or collect stickers.
These are very cute. Your kids will love them! I too love mini things. I got my cinch on Amazon because it was sold out. I was so upset because I thought I had missed out. Then I thought to look on Amazon. And they had them. So I did get one. I was soooo happy! Thank you for sharing this.

With the red line tape. If you put down one layer, remove the backing, then put down the other layer, it is easier to remove the backings. They don't get stuck.

I've made 2 small books with mine. 4.25 x 4.25. The first one i used the premade spine, covered cereal box covers and colored copy paper. It didnt seem to catch all the papers, there was a gap. 2nd time I made my own spine, like you did, and did alot of pressing and squeezing and 2 cycles of melting. I think it worked out better.

Is it a thick cutting mat?
Because at some point towards the end of the video you pick up something from the surface and as it lifts, it kind of looks like a cloth. 🤔

Thank you for your video it was very informative and the books are georgous. I have just purchased the machine haven't received it yet. I would like to ask you where did you buy your thermal strips from, there are many on Amazon for a very reasonable price, they look exactly the same and my husband who was in the chemical industry says EVA is the standard quality of glue so I am looking to buy that from Amazon.
