FYI if anyone has the AWD 3.3 V6... the wiring harness is way easier and it's 2 plugs and your done. Both plugs are under the drivers side trim panel on the back. It's that same trim panel you have to remove for the hitch install. I picked mine up for $15 on sale on Amazon and it's a Curt product.

My 2017 Santa Fe sport was just plug in play. It had tow wiring ports under a trim panel drivers side. Saw them when I was installing the hitch.
All V6's are prewired like you described.

If you are going to use shrink wrap, it MUST be slipped onto the wire before you join the two wires together. That wasn't mentioned. Good video!
Cant you just wire it to the lighter plug in the trunk area pass side for power on only when key is turned on?

ya only thing i would of done would of been putting a wire loom cover over the wire to keep from rubbing on the metal n eventally catching on fire shorting out n burning your car to the ground
