The greatest band ever walked this Earth and country music. Want to take a second here and say rest in peace to Jeff Cook. He was the magic of the sound that Alabama had. All those beautiful licks and mountain music Tennessee River, almost every song that sound came from Jeff Cook.. if you noticed when you hear Alabama play the sound is a little bit different but still sounds great. But normally when you don't have that same sound as that you used to hearing is because the lead get tires is no longer with them. In this case the lead guitarist is Jeff Cook plus other instruments Jeff Cook was the third cousin of Randy Owen. He will be missed. I strongly in my opinion if Alabama continues playing for people I would bring back Mark Herndon. At least they'll have three of the original group. And then get themselves an excellent guitarist that can copy Jeff. Bring back that original sound. But that might not happen cuz you're getting up in their days where they're probably just going to retire pretty soon. They're all in their early seventies at least I know Randy Owen is. I don't know how many other band members that they have with him right now that plays along with them when they go on the road but all I know is their main man he's in heaven now. To Alabama forever
