- Dature Miuli, is a Progressive farmer from Roing, under Lower Dibang Valley District of Arunachal Pradesh. Besides being a very successful Tea planter, he also owns large scale Orange and Rubber plantations.
Mr Miuli, during 2017 under the guidance of the State Department of Agriculture and 3F Oil Palm Pvt Ltd- an Oil palm developer and processor company, started a new venture of Oil Palm plantation in an area of 200 hectares at his farm at Rukmo village near Roing town. Currently his plantation spreads across 207 hectare and is known as one of the largest Oil Palm plantation by an individual in India. He is a beneficiary of Govt of India’s scheme ‘National Mission on Oilseeds & Oil Palm (NMOOP)’ being implemented by the State Department of Agriculture, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
As his plantation has already attained more than 3 years, harvesting of Oil Palm Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFBs) in his plantation has started during 2020. He is expecting to earn good returns from his plantation in coming years.
The State Government has made arrangements for buy-back the harvested produce of Oil Palm from farmers and thereby create a ready market for sell of Oil palm Fresh fruit bunches. This endeavor is one among the progress stories of Oil Palm in Arunachal which is a true symbol of farmers’ determination, sheer dedication of Departmental Officers, officials and partner company- 3F Oil Palm Pvt Ltd.

These stories are of those real men from the tough terrains of Arunachal Pradesh, who despite challenges worked their way to success and became true achiever farmers. GOI is taking huge interest on palm oil trees plantation, scheme have been released by state govt to attract various farmers. But still there are lots of doubt regarding the plantation like is it really a sustainable way in a long run, is govt ready to provide MSP, does it effect the water table. No doubt this can change the entire economic of our state but at what cost or are we ready for it.

Govt should promote more and more palm tree plantation and oil production it will reduce India's dependence on palm oil import from other countries, we spend too much on it.

If u have indegeneous cow breeds, u can make JEEVAMRIT, GHANJEEVAMRIT, GAUKRIMARIT ( Bio culture) , AGNEYASTRA, NEEMASTRA, BRAHMASTRA, DASHKSRNI ARKA ( Bio pesticides & weedicides)of your own without depending on artificial factory made organic fertilisers, agents, companies & govt subsidies.
There are lots of articles & videos on that & farmers across many states practicising Natural Farming ( SPNF / ZBNF model) apply these .

Arunachal please do all the side effects of palm farming. Know that the palm farming consume lots of water and also it is not indigenous so effects the environment a lot.
Sad thing is , govt is not buying the palm produce , many such palm oil farms were established in Arunachal under govt schemes ,but as there are no oil pressing mill established like promised by the govt , farmers are facing huge loss of land and produce
From where will he get sufficient water to feed the plants?

Centre is pushing this palm oil farming to North eastern state's because mainland area's are aware of it's adverse effects on ecology and atmosphere. This palm oil tree's absorbs a extraordinary quantity of ground water to grow and produce raw materials therefore making the land dry which causes other plants to unable to grow in that land. Wet lands are preferable for it's cultivation but large unit of cultivation may cause severe damage to the consent area's in long run.

What is winter temprature in arnachalpredesh
It totally depends on the location.This plantation is located in the foothills so it has a similar climate to guwahati/siliguri.
