    Such a gorgeous plant, it could use some iron. I personally use Desert Energy Iron and I think Grow Fast has a product called Iron.

    Thank you for your tips! Your Gardenia plant is BEAUTIFUL and very very healthy! I can't wait to watch more videos.
    Our August Beauty started blooming and really taking off the past two days! Our first Gardenia! Im really interested in learning more. My best friend told me to mix some coffee grounds in the soil. I love to grow hibiscus plants here too.. bright & peach colors. We live in San Antonio, Texas, United States. REALLY hot and humid here.
    I believe it is going to be a hot summer for all everywhere.
    Blessings of safety, love and good/better health to you & your family.

      Hey Heather. I am glad that your beauty started blooming. Isn't that the best feeling?
      Your friend is right, as gardenia (rose, hibiscus, jasmine) enjoy acidic soil so so ahead and add some coffee grounds.
      These acidic soil loving plants have similar care requirements so you can get some hibiscus too. Just remember to spray the plant with some insecticide to keep the pests away.
      I have made several videos on the gardenia if you would like to watch them too. Happy Gardening 😊

      Wow, that's awesome. Gardenia blooms are the most satisfying thing ever, for a gardener. Please sure that the soil is not getting alot of rain water as rain water is more on the alkaline side and rain water also leeches the minerals. • @Living_with_nature
      @Living_with_nature  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. I think by "yellow leaves" you mean chlorosis. Have your leaves turned Neon green and you can see the veins? If that's the case then you need to give your plant some chelated iron and within a week your plant will have lush green leaves. If the leaves are yellow then they are just turning old and they will shed automatically. I hope it helped.
      I am making a video on treating chlorosis so please stay tuned ❤️

    • @theteapotqueen
      @theteapotqueen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m seeing somewhere else to check the soil Ph levels and make sure it’s within 5.0-6.0, and to add lime or sulfur to make the solid more alkaline or acidic as needed. My gardenias’ leaves are yellowing, too, and I will check the pH levels on my plants as well.

    Hi friend
    Looks like your Gardenia might appreciate some iron. My experience with the neon yellow leafing has been from iron deficiency. Solid lemon yellow usually means chlorosis. Not sure if this is the case for your little beauty but you might consider the idea. Thank you for sharing. Your Gardenias are gorgeous 😊

      @@Living_with_nature omg, I'd love too!!!
      Fertilizer for acid loving shrubs/flowers and iron supplements. Its super easy. I purchase a bag of each at the garden section from the hardware store. I mix a 50/50 mix in a pot, stir it up and fold it into their soil. I call it their "oatmeal" lol Then water the soil once to twice a week (depending on the temperature of their environment) and mist the leaves daily!! I have a misting bottle I keep by my gardenias and mist them on the way out the door, every morning. For a few dollars, I purchased a "PH reader" thermometer. It slides into the soil and will help you keep track of their ph levels. If soil is to alkaline, they'll have iron deficiency and chlorosis accrues. Once you get the hang of it, maintaining is easy!!

      @Living_with_nature  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey. I suggest that in Dubai, gardenia should be kept in semi shaded area, Where they recieve partial sunlight of 3-4 hours and bright light. Please do not expose it to extreme heat. Keep it with the other plants and keep a pebble tray or a container of water to maintain humidity (use a humidifier if you have one).

      Hey Chatt, if your plant is in a pot then please place the gardenia in a semi shaded place where it receives bright indirect light. If it's growing in the soil in your garden then make sure that you water it thoroughly every morning, so that the plant isn't thirsty during the day when the sun is at its brightest. Gardenias love sun and moisture, so it will survive the summer happily if looked after well.

      Then we decided to make jasmine tea, and Then after some research, we made the gardenia tea. The gardenia tea is the best tasting of all three.

    • @Living_with_nature
      @Living_with_nature  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, gardenias are normally grown in nurseries and green houses and those small net cups are put there.
      Due to the disturbance around the root area the plant is in a shock and dropping leaves.
      Also do not directly put banana and orange peels in the soil. Either boil the banana peels in water and give it to the soil or soak the banana peels in water for 2 days and give that water. Fresh peels will cause fungus.
      Let the plant come out of shock,this will take a few days (1-2 weeks). If you have Epsom salt, then try giving a pinch of Epsom salt mixed in water to the plant.

      Hi Suzzane. I check the spoil and when it is dry I water it. If there is still moisture in the soil then I wait for a day or so. Gardenias don't like to sit in the water so just make sure that the first 1 inch of soil is dry before you water it again. A small tip, always water the plant fully, the water should drain out fully. So that all the roots absorb the water fully.🌱
