You can use grease proof paper & parchment paper (the stuff you use for baking or cooking) to make you’re own envelopes. Much cheaper than glassine yet still look amazing and the bonus is you can make them any size you want.
I have done this but with clear gesso. I never thought of using white gesso. I love that it looks vintage. I am going to try this with the white gesso.

Hi! I was searching glassine info and you popped up! Love this look (the stamping) but the gesso makes the envelope opaque so kind of makes glassine moot. When you mentioned the little plastic garden stakes my ears perked up because I’ve been collecting those for years (I always liked how they look and the info is handy), I’ve seen some vids where they are used as tags! TYFS, NEW SUBBIE HERE MICHIGAN 💜🦋❤️
Thank you. You can skip the jesso layer and stamp directly onto glassine. At the time I really liked the layered effect. Thanks for the sub! I hope to make some more videos this summer.
