Yeah. Pics and video do not do it justice. I went to pick mine up (used from fb) and was shocked when I saw it in person. Just measured my xmaxx at 32" from front bumper to wheelie bar. 21" wide outside tire to outside tire. And just over 14" tall from floor to roof at highest preload setting on suspension.
hey medic if you look around the 7:50 mark you can see that your battery strap is looped around your rear drive shaft. I also see some shiny spots on it from where it was rubbing. just wanted to let you know and happy birthday my friend

Well if you think about it logically. When the battery is placed in from the top you would not see the strap and if you had as many trucks as arron little things like that would slip under the rug easily. Prolly didnt even notice any power lag.
Jason Campbell I do stuff like that all the time with my trucks, and I only have a few. it's funny because ill be out running and think that something is off but I won't actually figure it out most of the time until I'm done lol. Once I actually forgot to strap down my battery and it fell out in a crash. Oops
One time i dropped a battery into my funjet plugged it in then threw it into the air to find out i forgot to cg my plane. It was horribly tail heavy and was almost uncontrollable. Barely landed (mild crash) it. Lol. Cg every time now.
Jason Campbell once I was flying my quad and got halfway across a corn field to find out that neither of the rear prop nuts were tightened all the way. Both of the props felt of and I crashed pretty hard. no damage thankfully
Great video DJ. I've been watching your show for about a year or so but you are are right it really is hard to say which one is better. I really can't say anything on the matter because I don't have either one but I just love the way the xmaxx looks. Love the show and keep the film rolling.
Excellent video and point! I was at a lecture once with the famous guitarist Pat Metheny. He was asked by the audience 'Which guitarist do you think is the best in the world?' He was quite offended by the question and ended up dismissing the question as wrong. One in the audience refrased the question and asked 'Which guitarists are your favourites?' Pat was delighted, responded that was a completely different thing and the right question, and talked long about a number of his personal favorite guitarists :-) But Yes, I think one can talk about something as 'best' ... for you. For my 2 year old son, his 2 mph Crawler toy-grade RC, with all axles, motors etc completely sealed up, is certainly 'better' for him than an X-Maxx or Reaper :-)

happy B-day to you, and for a handy tip to you and all, I used a product called flex seal it's a rubber spray paint on the inside of the body she'll of my r/c car. it kept is flexible but left it extremely durable, I used two coats have fun play hard.

My real gripe withthe Xmaxx and Traxxas is how weak the diff and pinion gears are, not to mention the old ESC loves to smoke up... It kinda feels like they released it half finished and now you can buy an even more expensive version which is what the old one should have been. It feels very underhand to me, I guess it's very different when you get them for free, but when it's something you have to actually save for, those things are a much much bigger factor. I do however, prefer the way you give advice sometimes over others, in a sense of 'this is just MY opinion' and doesn't necessarily reflect on everyone. There's too many people who simply insist they are correct and it's often not true. Kudos for that :)

its all about personal preference , and its up to the individual person to see which one is the "best truck" i think both are really awesome and i do agree its all about what are you looking for , now to me i like Traxxes XMaxx for looking more tough built , the over kill power , and just amazing size of it but i also like the CEN Reaper , light weght , fast , easy to fix and cheap, too me you can do so much more upgrades on the Reaper by the looks of it , so too me it is a hard choice but i do really like both trucks and looking forward to see more vids on them :D

I'm from europe and really wanted to get the Reeper, but it isnt available at the moment. Also the retail price for europa is 950$ and be available at april. So it was a nobrainer, just got my X-Maxx 8s some days ago and its beautiful, awesome rc car. Just snapped on a Runcam 2 HD and the video is stable as hell without anti vibration systems I had to use on my Summit. Really happy with the maxx. Its also a better crawler than my old Traxxas Summit because of its size :)
I thought in a previous video it was mentioned that they are not the same scale, so a direct comparison is a little hard. That and judging on they way they are built, they are not aimed at the same group of users. The Cen looks to be more for speed freaks and racers, while the Traxxas is more for bashers and I have to have the most power crowd. Sure the Traxxas has thicker parts, but it weighs more so it needs thicker parts to handle that weight. Its a double edged sword, the more weight you add to make it stronger, is negated by that added weight. Also being heavier means you need more power to overcome that weight.

An old video but now there are a good bit of upgraded for the reeper including 7075 billet aluminum replacement parts, extended chassis parts and lst 3xle shocks and innovative rc makes compatible shocks with 8mm shafts. On Facebook any chance of a comparison to the kraton and outcast is durability wise
I just like the xmaxx because it’s so powerful and kinda has that "Tank" reputation… I mean I’ve seen the x maxx being jumped 5m+ in the air and nothing broke, that was mindblowing for me…
So what one is best? Lol just kidding I would say get off your ass and try them out or just get out side and have fun with own it's not a debate it's which one calls out to you and says try me! XMAXX are great trucks own two 8S and a 4x4 Slash,,, great trucks and have always had excellent customer service with Traxxas 👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸

What would you consider necessary upgrades on the Reeper besides the steering servo?
would the power to wieght ratio be about the same for the two. so it is not easy to take the wight on its own into account.
