  • Brett Favre had his best statistical season in his final one, and the transition from that final year to regular adult life has been hard on Brett.

Yes age and recovery. Two sports I absolutely loved, taught me wisdom of there is a time to let go, I knew it my body knew it. Just took my love and ego a little more time to catch up. I walked away, and now it’s my favorite life experiences. The older I get, truly the better I was. I love it.

In the 80's and into the 90's the Packers had a team of 7 or 8 current Packers play basketball against alumni of High School teams throughout Wisconsin. Packers were pretty bad then and I suppose it was a PR effort. About 2 weeks after Ron Wolf traded for Brett they had one of those games at Goodrich High School in Fond du lac. I was there and knew about Bretts amazing and tough (playing 18 days after surgery to remove intestine) upset victory over Alabama. So almost nobody knew who Brett was but I told my brothe that he was the quarterback we just traded for and others heard me. I was in favor of the trade but most fans were upset at trading a 1st round pick for a 2nd round pick the previous draft who did nothing in his rookie year. When the game started Brett was running around like the kid he was, pulling down rebounds and throwing the ball down court so hard that his teamates couldn't catch the ball and would shake their hands in pain. Quickly they stopped trying and the ball would hit the cement wall and bounce back to center court. Most of the Packers playing were linebackers and lineman and they prevailled upon Brett to knock it off, and he did. He was just having fun. In his first few years he broke and sprained fingers of teamates trying to catch his fasrballs. Brett is as beloved in Wisconsin as Bart Starr was and its no justt the chanpionships, they count but we love the man. He is one of us. And Jordan Love is the same way. Aaron quite frankly is the anomaly. He will our next Hall o Famef quarterback but Jordan Love will ne the next legend.

That Saints team was the dirtiest, cheapest team ever. If ever the fix was in, it was in for the 2009 Saints. Completely undeserving of a title, everything associated with that season comes with a giant asterisk. So much joy watching the Vikings (twice!) and Rams completely destroy their playoff dreams in later seasons.

@ugotmossed84 Wait? We’ll call Favre “welfare king” but you’re showing hatred over something he admitted he was fine from the hits he took from the Saints years ago. Everyone attacks the NFL, but fans continue to believe the myth of bounty gate.
      Pick a struggle dude.
